Sounds like just another outbreak of internecine SCV warfare, which can be as fierce as any "war of northern agression" battle. A few SCV members want to gain points by taking sides against controversial SCV executive board member Lyons.

I find it very sad when southern organizations give in to the lies of the day and support the idea of racial equality. If racial equality is a fact then the people and system they admire were rotten scoundrels. And they help everyone else outside of their group to believe this by sidding with lying, evil men like Dees. No one wants to join a group that is always laying down on the ground to expose its belly. People join groups that show their teeth whenever confronted. As defenders of the old order these people are sad.

With all due respect, did you read the articles at all? The latest SPLC article specifically faults the SCV for its increasingly active, if cautious and prudent, politicization, and for its open support of people like Kirk Lyons (famed lawyer for all sorts of Klan and Neo-Nazi groups). Kirk Lyons is now been on the SCV executive board a couple of years.
There appears to be a small SCV faction which is opposing these developments and cooperating somewhat with certain SPLC members. So what? It is about as fair to equate the entire SCV to this small faction, as it is to equate the entire Original Dissent forum to the mentality and positions of rban.
The SCV mind you by its charter is not an avowedly political organization at all. It is a heritage and historical association, just like the organizations that support monuments to Confederate war hero's, museums, etc. Outwardly respecting this distinctions enables it to get much financial, public, and political support that it would not have otherwise if it had the reputation as a politically activist organization. Now, without crossing the line, it has started to crowd it more, and at times discretely pass back and forth across it. That's what the SPLC criticism is all about. They aren't giving the organization as a whole any medals, that's for sure.
Study the whole situation carefully and judiciously before you rush to make hasty judgements.

I fear the trend of the SCV is still going PC. They have been spending toomuch time looking for non-White Confederates, proving they aren't racists and other such PC nonsense. On the hand the SCV is far from a lost cause. I can hope that the good member will see that the "Liberals" will not stop till they destoy everything. It is not just the CSA or the South they are at war with, it is all European and pre-1965 America and it's people they hate.
