Homosexuals tend to be psychotic then thus are very disproportionally responsible for murders.

This 41-year-old man was living with the 17-year-old boy. Homosexuals are also given to child molestation.

The boy is an illegal alien which makes him more susceptible to control by the man. Where's the boy's family?

This man apparently has no girl friend and his attempts at marriage failed because of lack of luv on his part.

The leftist media certainly is going to ignore any such evidence. So, if you find out something solid, let this BBS know!

We have a serial killer spree by two people. Already, this crime spree involves, blacks, Moslems, an illegal alien.... the only thing missing is a homosexual.

Certainly the PC media is not about to raise the issue of a homosexual "Blackman/Robin" relationship as it would hardly wish to offend NAMBLA. But it might not remain unraised when the trials begin because any competent attorney for "Robin" would raise any issue he could to mitigate his client's sentence --- in Virginia that sentence could include death.

The media has crossed the Rubicon when it comes to this case. Unlike Wichita, which they swept under the national radar screen, this case was just too hyped for them to ignore just because the race of the perps is not what they hoped for or expected. They can spin these issues, but they can't bury them.

It seems obvious that the sniper IS indeed a homosexual. The media is grappling to put an all new spin on the story since it turned out to be a black.

They are interviewing black community leaders who rant about how shocked they are that it was a Negro, and that Negroes "never ever" commit violent acts like this. This is "so out of character" for a Negro.

Police have arrested the co-owner of the sniper's car, a negro named Nathaniel Osbourne. Why would someone co-own a car? Hmmm, because the car was bought with a lover/spouse. Maybe a parent/child situation, not not in this case. The car was bought for $250 which rules out any situation of a 3rd-party wanting his name on the car for collateral.

This worthless piece of agitprop st - which scuttled forth from the fishwrap known as NY NEWSDAY - is so chockablock with lies, distortions & Jewish "truth" it beggars the imagination. After Watts, LA '92, the OJ verdict, Crown Heights, Liberty City, Cincinnati and dozens of other riot zones - to say nothing of Greek Weeks! - the Hymiedia feels it's important to remind you kill-crazy white crackers of your propensity for burning, looting and lynching. Please**, people!....return to your homes and places of business in an orderly manner!...all rope sales will be suspended 'til we can get dese heah bucks safely to the county courthouse!

Sniper Case Heightens Local Anxiety About Racism By Martin C. Evans STAFF WRITER

October 28, 2002

Until the moment two suspects were arrested in connection with the Washington-area sniper spree Friday, many in the black community were whispering prayers that the suspect would not be "one of us."

"There is a concern that it would create a profile of black people and that's what we always have to worry about," said Mark Davis, 38, of Merrick, who teaches social studies at MS 226 in Queens.

"We have enough on us already," said Julius Pearse, 69, a Freeport historian and genealogist. "We don't need to have that kind of senseless act attached to us."

American Muslims, too, were expressing many of those same anxieties, fearful of again being linked with extremists who killed about 3,000 people during the Sept. 11 attacks.

"Yesterday, I was doing the same thing," Kaleem Kamboj of Bayside, a son of Pakistani immigrants, said Friday. "I was saying, 'Oh my god, I hope this guy wasn't a Muslim.'"

Speculation about the sniper's identity demonstrated the tendency of Americans to try to place crimes into ethnic categories.

Although the suspects, John Allen Muhammad, 41, and Lee Boyd Malvo, 17, are black, many television experts evoked a profile of a serial killer as a young white man. Forensic psychologist N. G. Berrill, speaking on ABC, envisioned a "Caucasian ... loner."

Racial profiling of serial killing persists even though studies show that whites and blacks engage in the crime in numbers about proportional to their population, according to criminologist W. Scott Thornsley, an assistant professor at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.

Some speculated the suspect would be a Middle Easterner, as some did in 1995 before it was learned two white men were responsible for killing 168 people at the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City.

Anxiety within the black community may have been particularly high before the identities of the sniper suspects were learned because of traditional concerns that much of America holds the entire black community responsible for the actions of a few, social scientists say.

"That's common in any ethnic group, but particularly in the black experience," said Carrol Waymon, president of the San Diego chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists. "When anything like this happens, people say I hope he's not black."

Community-wide anxiety may be higher in black communities than among other groups because of America's tortured history of white mob violence directed at black communities after alleged crimes, Waymon said. The often-gratuitous use of racial descriptions in news accounts adds to a feeling of being singled out, he said.

In one notorious incident in 1921, white rioters leveled the entire black community in Tulsa, Okla., after false rumors told of an assault on a white woman. As recently as a generation ago, news outlets routinely noted that a person was "a Negro" when describing altercations or trials. And the 1998 Texas lynching of James Byrd, 49, who was stripped, chained to a truck and dragged behind a pickup truck by white supremacists, rekindled old feelings of vulnerability.

"Historically one of the characterizing features of the myths and stereotypes of black people is that blacks are violent and like to kill," Waymon said. "So blacks are always concerned about what this will do to the stereotype."

But since the World Trade Center attack, which was followed by scattered incidents of anti-Muslim violence and a wave of Muslim deportations for minor immigration violations, Muslim-Americans increasingly worry they have become this country's new target for ethnic profiling.

Muslims throughout Long Island said they were apprehensive upon learning that one of the suspects was named Muhammad.

"Basically, because of Sept. 11, there is an added layer of fear," said Yousuf Siddiqui, a SUNY Stony Brook graduate student. "We are very apprehensive about being affiliated with the serial killer in any way."

This is typical of the way Tulsa is misrepresented.

The whites leveled negro town AFTER blacks came to the jail and opened fire on the whites who had assembled there - killing a few. The whites then armed themselves and went into the black area and kicked ass for a couple days.

And who says the assault was based on "false rumours"? Christ, you'd think negro rape of white women was unheard of instead of commonplace if all you had to go by was watching movies like the excreble "To Kill a Mockingbird".

It looks like James Byrd is gonna be enshrined along with Emmet "le'me show y'all how we treat white women up North" Till.

But it's hush y'all as far as the Carr bros are concerned.

Well I have to agree, negroes commit enough senseless acts that they hardly need any more to convince me that they are destructive to white civilization.

"Historically one of the characterizing features of the myths and stereotypes of black people is that blacks are violent and like to kill," Waymon said.

So I guess stereotype and higher probability are unrelated, because there is a much, much higher probability that a negro will kill anyone when compared to whites. And their rate of interracial murder is even more disproportionate than the white rate.

If the populace of Wichita stormed the jailhouse and dragged out the Carrs for a necktie party, the individual members of that mob would be relentlessly hunted as if they were each John Wilkes Booth; and the Carr Bros' faces would end up on a stamp or a dollar bill like they were Romulus & Remus.

On the other hand, that might happen if the Carrs get death anyway. Nothing like a black being put to death to convince the Hymedia that his crimes were never committed, or happened so long ago to boring white people nobody ever heard of that they ought to be forgotten.

You know, it sounds like this guy is busy trying to pick up PC points to get tenure. Its outrageous that any criminologist would engage in this level of pandering.

Get ready though for the reaction, and the subtle spin that whoever the perpetuators are, the ultimate guilty party are "angry white males" and their racism.

It goes back to the famous prison riot at Attica, NY. NY Gov. Nelso Rockefellor stood up and made some pompous statement "the burden of Attica rests on all of Americans" whereupon George Wallace made the famous statement

I don't know about Rockefellor, but I've never even BEEN to Attica!

The Beltway Sniper and the media

Patrick J. Buchanan

Posted: October 30, 2002 1:00 a.m. Eastern

© 2002 Creators Syndicate, Inc.

During the 23 days the Beltway Sniper was shooting 13 people and murdering 10 in the D.C. suburbs, the press – especially the cable news networks – got it wrong … all wrong.

Their "profilers" almost all thought the sniper was an angry white male, driving a white van, acting alone, a clever killer who knew the D.C. area so well he must live here.

None of this, it seems, was true. There was not one, but two snipers. Neither lived here. Neither knew the area. They were not white. They did not drive a white van. Far from being clever, they were dumb as a post. How did the media get it wrong?

Having spent several afternoons at Camp Rockville, let me enter a plea bargain. The profilers we used on MSNBC were ex-FBI or police profilers or private investigators who had spent careers on similar cases. Their conclusions were not only reasonable, they were identical to those of the profilers for the "task force."

Moreover, it was the task force, based on witness testimony, that put out the word on the white vans and "box trucks" that misled the media and caused police to let the killers slip through their roadblocks. Were it not for cable's broadcast of the leaked number of the New Jersey license plate on the Chevy Caprice, which led to the arrest of the suspects hours later at a rest stop off a Maryland highway, the snipers might still be murdering people.

In the end, the suspects were responsible for their own arrests. Had they not taunted police by dropping tarot cards, leaving written messages at murder scenes with their fingerprints on them, phoning the Rockville police headquarters and a priest in Ashland, Va., to take credit for a murder in Montgomery, Ala., the case might not have been solved.

Once the suspects took credit for that fatal shooting at a Montgomery liquor store, the FBI traced a fingerprint from the crime scene to one the INS got from an illegal alien in Washington state who used the nickname "sniper." Then the bureau tied the teenager to the Gulf War veteran John Allen Muhammad, and Muhammad to the Caprice. The final chase was on.

At this writing, nothing is publicly known about the motives of the alleged serial killers, but it seems reasonable that in the phrase "serial killer," we may find a piece of the puzzle.

For both of the accused, John Allen Muhammad, 41, and John Lee Malvo, 17, are losers. Muhammad comes from a broken family. He had failed repeatedly in business, got into scrapes with the law, failed at two marriages and had fallen so far that he was living in a Christian homeless shelter in Washington state. That he had changed his name and joined the Nation Of Islam would testify to his alienation from the society into which he had been born.

John Lee Malvo was a teenage drifter from Jamaica, who, with his mother, became a stowaway who made it into the United States and eluded deportation. From childhood, he has been living with his mother and apparently took to Muhammad, whom he met in the shelter, as a surrogate father. Muhammad would introduce Malvo to friends and family members as his son or stepson. Apparently, the two were trying to recreate in one another familial bonds they had lost, or had never truly known: son-to-father and father-to-son.

What did they hate, and why did they hate so much that they would select victims at random, at gas stations, malls, on street corners, in buses, at school – men, women, black, white, Hispanic, ranging in age from 13 to 72? There seems no method in their selection of victims, other than opportunism.

Late in the murder spree, they did demand that $10 million be put in a Visa account for which they had a stolen credit card. But this testifies more to stupidity than greed.

If one had to project a motive upon them, it might be this: In a society that celebrates celebrity above all, they were seeking to enter the Hall of Fame in the only category where they stood a chance – as criminals and serial killers. Now they have made it. And with our hunger for celebrities, even Charles Manson celebrities, the pair will become better known than almost all of their contemporaries who chose to live decent, honorable and fruitful lives.

If they sought fame, and would settle for notoriety, who is to say they did not succeed? Prediction: Muhammad's trial will make him as famous as McVeigh. All America will now know his name. And 20 years hence, convict John Malvo, now reformed, will be discussing serial killers with the new generation's Larry King. Such is the nature of the celebrity-intoxicated society in which we live.

The profilers we used on MSNBC were ex-FBI or police profilers or private investigators who had spent careers on similar cases. Their conclusions were not only reasonable, they were identical to those of the profilers for the "task force."

Of course, anti-White political correctness deadens the senses of even the most experienced profilers.

The affirmative action cops were lucky one of their own racial brethren were the perps. Water seeks its own level and all.

That he had changed his name and joined the Nation Of Islam would testify to his alienation from the society into which he had been born.

Jefferson's quote comes to mind: the two races, equally free, cannot live under the same government.

And 20 years hence, convict John Malvo, now reformed, will be discussing serial killers with the new generation's Larry King. Such is the nature of the celebrity-intoxicated society in which we live.

Thank those of the Levant who market that intoxicating substance through the propasphere.

"If one had to project a motive upon them, it might be this: In a society that celebrates celebrity above all, they were seeking to enter the Hall of Fame in the only category where they stood a chance – as criminals and serial killers."

Ol' Buck's sage commentary strengthens my opinion that Montgomery (as in "Cradle of the Confederacy," Alabama) rather than Montgomery County, Judea ought to have first crack at Blackman and Robin.

Probably the greatest problem with criminal justice in this country is its failure to be "swift and certain." Alabama seems to offer the swiftest and most certain application of justice. They are dealing with felony murder which is one of the most settled areas of criminal law. The main evidence against them --- eyewitness, photographs and fingerprints --- are not products of a search warrant so the probability of a suppression of evidence motion is slim.

Moreover, there is a certain poetic justice in executing them for the more banal crime of felony murder at a liquor store --- a crime statistically likely to be committed by black men. It also gives them less chance to relive the moments when they kept the greater Washington metropolitan area in a virtual state of siege.

No one objects to profiling when it's a white males being profiled. However, most white male serial killers are also homosexal, yet no profile I heard in the media include that aspect. Indeed, if they had said "white male homosexual" they would have at least had the "homosexual" part correct.

Other than the sniper's ability to elude police (which turned out to be due to police incompetence, not the criminal's skill), all the evidence pointed to a black man. The letter the police received was written in ebonics (no angry white guy starts a letter "Dear Policeman" to refer to the police) and if the police had released the whole letter before the sniper was caught, we would all have seen the numerous examples of ebonics... but the police still refused to even think that the killer was a black guy. Blacks also have distinct voices yet even after hearing the sniper's voice on the phone, police still reflused to consider that the killer was black. When the moron sniper fessed up to a murder preceding the sniping spree, police knew that murder was commited by a black man yet they still refused to tell the public that the killer is probably black.

"Were it not for cable's broadcast of the leaked number of the New Jersey license plate on the Chevy Caprice" The police didn't release the license plate number. The trucker who found the car called 9/11. If he had dialed the hotline number the snipers certainly would NOT have been caught.

There mere fact that the police were pushing a white van when there was no white van is not an excuse for their failure to capture the sniper, it's just another example of their extreme incompetence in establishing such a strong link to a white van when there was no white van.

People, police let the sniper go TEN different times. And Moose is being congradulated for catching the bad guys? That ten times doesn't even count a time earlier in the month when the sniper was caught sleeping in his car. That ten times doesn't count the time in December when the kid was busted, and released even though he was known to be here illegally.

I guess it doesn't matter how many hundreds of people die each year and how many millions of taxpayer dollars wasted because of incompetent people put in charge of investigations and given jobs as police cheifs merely because standards are lowered because of their black skin... it's not like Moose ever said the n-word.

Buchanan's head's up his ass. He starts out admitting how off the mark the media was, winds up doing the same fictive mind-reading number ("inside the mind of a killer" "taunting the police", "wanting fame", "our celebrity crazed society", etc.) that kept it going. His skull is so ME.DIA.TED I dare say that if any clue planted by the Almighty Himself penetrated it, he would suspect the devil.

The fact that he didn't need to write anything, and in fact had nothing to write -- except about being wrong -- begs motive.

Let the Republican NEOCON Party spin begin. The point is: to get Lee Malvo out there: Mind-controlled black illegal immigrant boy, killer

on demand of black father. That's the bad side. The wonderful, good side is, they are caught and can now be killed. Put him to death, for everyone's sin who is connected with this whole thing, and even Iraq. I'm not a bleeding heart liberal, or anything, but this one is an obvious no-brainer, even at ordinary levels of human discernment. Plus, after White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer had allowed as how "the price of one bullet" might avoid a costly war with Iraq ... fear of a retaliatory response was in the air. "AS YOU DO TO OTHERS, SO SHALL BE DONE UNTO YOU", kept rattling in my old So. Baptist brain, as a variant of what to expect if the recommended alternative were abandoned, as it had been. "Washington" was certainly putting Saddam Hussein under the gun. So, when the single-bullet shootings commenced in the first cluster, the international terrorist political overtones were deafening, and I posted that.

If the black M 'n M culprits were dumb as posts, as Buchannan says, he knows -- indeed, insists -- that the image the media projected, not without reason, was the exact opposite. They, plus the public, plus the police, were being manipulated by a sharpshooting, politically attuned if not motivated terrorizer, brilliantly outguessing whatever they did, exulting in power and control, striking the right chord at just the right time to keep the True Crime Drama unfolding, and enhace the legend. "He" seemed unstoppable; able to elude whatever law enforcement did; able to take out whoever he wanted to. It was an unfolding historical psychodrama of millential implications. "America Hunted".

The post by robbie "An Occult Charade" was persuasive. There is a third party involved, telling the shooters what to do, either in, or using the white van as operational control. Many witnesses saw the white van, it wasn't just a police ploy. Ron Lutz said one was present at the time of the capture, but now told to keep quiet. (Can he?)

It over-reaches the case, I think, to say the police deliberately ignored the blue Caprice, but not an exaggeration to way its errant behavior wasn't as if designed to get caught. Like McVeigh's missing license plate. No, they were asking to get caught, signalling how it could be done almost from the time they are heard from.

And while comparing the DC sniper attack with Oklahoma City, note there were as many witnesses to a "John Doe #2" then, as to a white van, now. Federal prosecuters kept the evidence from emerging, in the one case, only to have it come back recently as announced in these forums! -- Let liars beware.

Another similarity of the two cases is curious fingerprint evidence -- on a fertllizer receipt found in Terry Nichols house in McVeigh's case, on a gun magazine from over a month ago in Malvo's case. Traceable through his INS record from Bellingham, Wa.? Hoo boy.

Not one commentator, Buchanan least of all, has been able to deal with the Tarot card message. Yet, it is crucial. It is as if to say: "This is God, or The Devil -- take it whichever way you want -- confronting you from the other side of your delusion, from where your conscience would be heard, if it still worked." And shot a kid. Dedicated to the planet's self-appointed "Dear Policeman". Too heavy for our soul to bear. Yet it is precisely what was left hanging in the air until the next shooting, which almost brought a relief, while racheting up the terror in another direction.

Here is where the black assassins, having been carefully prepared, were rapidly deployed. Malvo is being associated with shooting FBI agent Franklin at the Home Depot location. The extortion demand, on which federal charges hinge, is first made in the letter "discovered" there. The Tarot card had injected an entirely new symbolic dimension. Its message was strong, wild, authentically on mark. By contrast, however, instead of following up at that level, the second letter descends into banality.

Which, it says here, was the point.

I agree that this descent from a professional to a home-grown type operation ought to have signalled a black perpetraror. That should have been obvious; whether it should have been broadcast, I can't say. I understand some basis for white rancor here. But as overall perspective, the blacks are not behind the timing and MO; they are inserted into a picture 'way over the head of almost everybody involved. Their instructions were to off a few more, in the process of getting themselves caught.

In the dead of night, it went down without a fight. I wonder if anyone besides Ron Lutz heard that APB? I wonder how he could see the license from across the street?

Finally: although I had wanted to exclude Buchanan from the coils of the Cath-O-Jew complex, given his America First stand, he slithers right into the neo-con's clutches here, as was perhaps inevitable. They have "discovered" a .44 Magnum shell trajectory through a Tacoma synagague's ark, dated last May, which authorities think links to Muhammed and Malvo. (2 "Montgomeries": state, capital; 2 "Washingtons": capital, state; 2 "M & M"s": their names and the punk rapper "Won't you please stand up?" Slim Shady -- all coincidence, I'm told.) The idea, of course, is to link enemies: black Muslim illegal immigrants against America and Israel. Whoever accepts that is either a neocon or an idiot neocons find useful.

Reacting By Race To The Washington Snipers

By Sam Francis

For most Americans not actually involved in the manhunt for him, the racial identity of the Washington sniper (or both snipers) was entirely irrelevant. But to American blacks, according to the Washington Post, the race of the serial killer who for three weeks was the most hated and feared man in the nation was obvious enough: He had to be white.

When the sniper turned out to be not one but two blacks, the reaction of those who for years have groused about the unfairness and bigotry of "racial profiling" was one of disbelief. [Blacks Express Shock At Suspects' Identity Darryl Fears and Avis Thomas-Lester, Washington Post, Oct 26, 2002]

"Many black people in Washington stumbled backward in shock" when they first saw the glum mug shot of John Allen Muhammad on the television screen last week, the Post reported.

The response was not confined to professional race-baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. It extended even to merely amateur race-baiters as well, whose number seems to include most of the black population of the nation's capital. "All day long we've been saying, 'Can you believe it?'" the black principal of a Maryland elementary school told the Post.

In fact, there's some reason to share this reaction. I myself assumed the sniper was white, in so far as I thought about it, though it was perfectly believable to me that he wasn't. That most serial killers are white has almost become a cliché. Nevertheless, a good many serial rapists are black, and the New York Times reports (October 28) that studies show that some 13 to 22 percent of American serial killers are black also.

Yet it's doubtful that the black people who were stumbling backward in shock when they learned the race of the killer last week was due to any disturbance of their vast erudition in criminology. More likely it was due to what, quite simply, is known as "racism."

Alvin Poussaint, a black Harvard psychologist who has carved a profitable career out of painting "white racism" in fancy psychiatric colors, was trotted out by the Post to comment on the phenomenon of blacks harboring negative stereotypes of white people.

To his credit, Dr. Poussaint didn't hesitate to call it what it was. "A lot of the students around here were saying, 'Oh no, he can't be black,'" he told the Post. "This is the crazy thing we get hung up on because of the nature of racism."

It's refreshing to learn at last that non-whites can be "racist" as well as whites.

Indeed, no one as yet seems to have considered the possibility of racial motives on the part of the killers themselves. One or both of them seems to have sympathized with the Sept. 11 attacks, harbored anti-American passions and was a committed Black Muslim, but the multiracial cast of the snipers' victims appeared from the first to prove that racial hate was not one of their motives.

Maybe so, but at least five of the 10 publicly known slain victims of the snipers were white, and two others were not blacks. Could the snipers have mistaken the race of the three wounded victims through their telescopic sights, or did they perhaps miss a nearby non-black person at whom they were aiming and shoot a black by accident?

Maybe not, but the point is that no one seems to care.

The Post story about the black reaction to the snipers' race also notes that when David Berkowitz, the "Son of Sam" killer in New York, was arrested in 1977, "some Jews recoiled" and couldn't believe he was really Jewish. The story also quotes various Hispanics and Arabs in the D.C. area who expressed relief the snipers weren't of their particular ethnic persuasion.

Oddly, it says absolutely nothing about what whites think about any of it. It never occurred to the Post's reporters to find out whether white people felt surprised or relieved that the snipers weren't of their race.

I know of no one who asked whites what they thought about such serial murderers as Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, or John Wayne Gacy being white. I know of no white person who ever even thought about it.

Does this mean that whites are less "racist" than non-whites? Maybe, but what it suggests more than that is that for whites, race?at least their own race?doesn't even exist.

For non-whites or distinctive Caucasian subgroups?blacks, Hispanics, Arabs, or Jews, to mention only a few?race or at least ethnicity does exist, and it's an important source of identity.

What the racial meaning of the Washington sniper case tells us is that, at least for non-whites, race exists, while for whites it doesn't.

And in the multiracial society that mass immigration is creating, those races that retain a strong racial consciousness will possess a powerful group advantage over those that don't.

Add another load to the black man's burden

Cynthia Tucker, editor, Atlanta Journal-Consititution As the newscaster read the suspect's name, "John Allen Williams, aka John Allen Muhammad," skeins of dread knotted in my gut, pushing back the relief that had welled up with first news of the sniper's arrest. I waited for the inevitable mug shot to pop up on my television screen.

I stared, trying through sheer willpower to alter the suspect's racial identity. But it was no use. A man whose mother gave him the name "John Allen Williams" and who later changed it to "John Allen Muhammad" could only be black.

Since that Thursday in October, many African-Americans have struggled to make sense of this grim note in black history: If convicted, Muhammad and his alleged accomplice, John Lee Malvo, will become America's most notorious black serial killers, forever changing the conventional wisdom that serial murder is a white man's sickness.

It was not an accomplishment for which black America clamored.

While African-Americans remain frustrated by the refusal of the white mainstream to acknowledge our contributions to the nation's culture, there would have been no complaint over criminologists' failure to imagine a black Ted Bundy or David Berkowitz.

If white criminologists and psychologists were willing to profile black men out of the category of serial killer, it seemed only fair (if dubious), since they are unfairly profiled into most other criminal categories. While racism has faded considerably over the last century, the stereotype of the black man as violent criminal remains a stubborn feature of American cultural and political life.

The black man's burden is this: All African-Americans -- especially African-American men -- bear the white hostility and suspicion born of the misdeeds of a few. It is racial profiling writ large. And it is a burden whites cannot know.

Claus von Bulow, a wealthy white man suspected of attempting to kill his wife, Sunny, is just one white man who may have gone astray; his ethnic identity does not sully an entire race. (Sunny von Bulow, apparently poisoned by an overdose of insulin, has lain comatose for the past two decades.) But O.J. Simpson, a wealthy black man suspected of killing his wife, became representative of his race.

Timothy McVeigh, convicted of a terrorist bombing that killed 168, is just one crazed killer, separate and apart from the vast majority of law-abiding whites; but, if convicted, Malvo and Muhammad will be crazed black killers, casting a wider shadow of suspicion.

It does not matter how well-dressed, well-educated or well-mannered they are, African-American men have grown accustomed to routine stop-and-frisks by police officers, to being bypassed by cabdrivers, to being glared at by white women who find themselves sharing a lonely elevator. Even black undercover police officers have been mistaken for criminals and shot by their white colleagues.

As early as the 18th century slave trade, white missionaries and politicians began portraying black men as predators -- subjugated not just for the protection of white society but also for their own rehabilitation. That cruel stereotype was useful in easing the minds of white Christians who could not otherwise justify the vicious and inhumane practice of enslaving Africans.

The caricature of the black man as criminal became a staple of American literature and popular culture, even finding its way into Southern newspaper stories that attempted to justify lynchings. In "Without Sanctuary," a collection of photographs and postcards of lynchings, historian Leon Litwack quoted a contemporary Atlanta newspaper account that accused a black man of murdering his white employer. In crudest terms, the newspaper referred to "a monster in human form," "a beast" whose deeds were "the most diabolical in the annals of crime."

More than a century after the abolition of slavery, the stigmatizing of black men as violent and dangerous persists. This not-so-subtle racism shows itself in everything from the disparate sentences handed down to black men and white men for the same crimes to the different punishments that school principals mete out to black boys and white boys for the same offenses.

While stereotypes about black men play on white paranoia, the truth about black men's criminal tendencies is more pedestrian -- more prosaically American. If convicted, Malvo and Muhammad would not be the first black serial killers. While there have been few studies of serial killers by race or gender, criminologists believe that black serial killers exist in rough proportion to the number of blacks in the population: about 13 percent.

Black Atlantans, certainly, have their own grim experience of black serial murder -- the notorious slayings of black boys and young men in the early 1980s. Wayne Williams, a black man, was eventually convicted of the murders of two -- and blamed for the murders of 22 others.

But Williams never settled as deeply into the American psyche. Perhaps that's because his victims were poor and black.

While the crimes were infamous and unsettling -- generating worldwide sympathy for the victims -- they were still not random slayings in well-tended neighborhoods, not the sort of crimes that keep middle-class Americans awake at night.

Malvo and Muhammad, however, have the potential to become the inspiration for countless made-for-TV movies and crime novels. If they are guilty, their madness had a chilling wantonness that will keep psychologists churning out theories for years to come.

It will also broaden the profile of serial killers to include black men. That was bound to happen sooner or later. While some researchers still seek a genetic explanation for criminal behavior, there is little evidence so far that suggests there is a gene for psychopaths or a DNA strand that dictates serial slaughter.

Instead, as former Black Panther and convicted murderer Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin (H. Rap Brown) once said, "Violence is as American as cherry pie." If that is so, Muhammad -- doubtless the dominant personality in this allegedly murderous duo -- is just another American madman.

The grocery store rag National Enquirer is printing what know other major news source will dare. That the two snipers are obviously homosexual lovers.

Unfortunately they don't print the whole story online, they want you to buy the paper. You can see the headline by following the link above.

Or maybe it's because the media were so disappointed that the killer wasn't a Kluxer.

What a silly editorial. Blacks are equal to their percentage of the population when it comes to serial killing, but kill far more than their fair share in general. Given their lower average intelligence this only makes sense. Yet, they as a group expect snippers and serial killers to be white while condemning whites for expecting your regular, kill you for $40 killer, to be black.
