GOP going down this election?

The Democrats have a chance at getting the California, Florida, Arizona, and Texas Governorships. If Governor Bushie can not win this year; Jorge Bushie can not win in 2004. The GOP is the Stupid Party! The Democrats will most likely keep the Senate and they could win the House.

But look at the Trash the Neocons at Newsmax are writting!

**GOP going down this election? **

I'm doing my part to ensure it....by sticking to principle and voting for candidates from the America First and Constitution parties.

Centinel,

Thanks for your Reply. The GOP just sucks, that's about all you can say!

Sam Francis called the Democrats the Evil Party and the GOP the Stupid Party. I often think he may be wong; I often think the GOP is the Stupid-Evil Part!

And it is worth repeating: If Governor Bushie can not win this year; Jorge Bushie can not win in 2004!

Any more thoughts from anyone?

I've been following the various senate and gubernatorial elections fairly closely, and while I would like to see the GOP go down, I don't think it will happen. In fact, all indications point to an inevitable GOP moral victory in the congressional elections, in that they will probably not lose many, if any, seats in the house and senate, defying the overwhelming historical trend of the president's party losing seats in mid-term elections. Gerrymandering has made the House an incumbent's paradise more than ever -- there are only around 20 races out of 435 that are half way competitive. As well, the GOP has lost seats in Congress in every election since 1996, so if they manage to hang on without losses this time, they can point to that as a victory, as an emerging pro-GOP trend after a 6 year Democratic trend.

Unfortunately, the GOP is in a can't-lose position, spin-wise, imo -- if they lose some seats, they can still claim victory, as long as their losses are ahistorically minor. If the status quo holds, they can claim a major victory by not losing any seats, and if they win a few seats, they'll claim a mandate. BTW, Jeb Bush will win Florida.

Well firstly the poll isn't really conclusive

The election eve poll showed that 47 percent of likely voters would vote Republican while only 40 percent would vote Democrat, Matt Drudge reports. *The results are at odds with the predictions of other pollsters and political experts, who have consistently maintained that the majority of voters will choose Democratic candidates over Republicans on Nov. 5.***

I can't really root against the GOP. It is after all the national party of America. You remember where Kevin MacDonald quoted the Jew as saying while he thought the policies of the GOP superior, he voted Democratic cause he liked the faces he saw at their convention better. That is pretty much the same reason I vote for the GOP.

However whenever I see a real Republican as opposed to a neocon leaner, I vote for them. I think bitching about the GOP, is a not really productive beyond a certain point. If elections are that important, lets get involved with Buchanan-Reform, Tom Tancredo, the guy in Mississsippi, etc.

The GOP represents mainstream America, however stupid this America is. Personally I can't really turn my back on it, however stupid its masses and evil its leaders. After all, its only relative anyway. Do we really wish the likes of the more kosher than B'nai B'rith Clinton White House back?

That's my two cents.

I like the conservative ideals the GOP is hardly that but it is the lesser, not by much if any, of the 2 evils.

I hate Bushie! Jorge II wants open the Border to unlimited numbers "Wetbacks." Jorge II has come out for Ballistic "Fingerprinting" a.k.a. Gun Registration. Jorge II will prove Treason in 2004 will does not let the Brady Law's AWB sunset. Jorge II is giving us larger government and running the government with red ink.

The Party that wins Florida will Rightly claim a moral victory.

Overall that's pretty much my point. In America change has come by those who worked within the very elastic confines of the "two-party" system. I've always even argued that Buchananites, etc. who wish to start their own party aren't really using their energies efficiently.

Look at the example of the greens. Their big achievement so far has been defeating Al Gore for George Bush.

Just like at Free Republic, where all we paleo's stayed until we were thrown out, I think paleo's don't really have to leave the GOP. We should just learn how to use it, instead of letting it use us.

Since I don't own a gun, I can honestly say that issue means little to me. I know that guns SHOULD be legal as they are a bulwark protecting citizens vs. an omnipotent government.

The only issue I care about is immigration. All future DEM victorys (gun control, abortion, hate crimes, etc) flow from this problem.

Immigration is currently the most important issue but neither Democrats or Republicans have any interest in controlling immigration.

I think calling the Democrats the Evil Party and the Republicans the Stupid Party is pretty accurate. While there's plenty of evil in the Republican party, stupidity better explains their behavior.

For example, Republicans gain nothing but supporting Israel (no jewish votes, no dollars kept in their wallets, no advancement causes that effect a Republican's quality of life, etc.). Evil is self-interested. Supporting Isreal does not serve any of the GOP's interests therefor it's just stupid. And, if Republicans think they gain favor with God for supporting Israel, they're just plain stupid.

I understand why Democrats don't object to immigration. These Hispanic invaders are natural Democrats and the Democrats don't about protecting the American way of life nor protecting our wallets. But, for Republicans to support immigration is just stupid. In net, Hispanics will NEVER vote for Republicans and Hispanics will NEVER promote the causes that most Republican voters hold dear (like living in an English speaking country).

Elections Advance President's Agenda What is his Agenda? Letting in more "Wetbacks?"

NewsMax.com Wires

Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002 WASHINGTON ? President Bush will reap the most immediate benefits from Republicans' historic gains in the midterm elections by using GOP majorities in both chambers of Congress, installed largely on his coattails, to sweep aside Democrat opposition, political experts said Wednesday.

Though slim majorities, particularly in the Senate, preclude unilateral moves by either party, GOP control over committees and the flow of legislation on the floor will make it more difficult for Democrats to stand in the way.

Here Come the Judges

The most immediate effect will be on the confirmation of Bush's nominations to the federal judiciary, because Senate Democrats will no longer be able to bury those nominations in committee.

Bush will also be more likely to roll his Democrat opponents on other issues such as the makeup of the new Department of Homeland Security.

A Sad Day for Obstructionists

"The president has been campaigning on war in Iraq, homeland security and judges. Republican control of the Senate means he will secure the things that most matter to him," said Kenneth R. Weinstein, vice president and director of the Hudson Institute's Washington office. "It will be more difficult to obstruct the president's agenda for the Democrats."

Homeland security, for example, has been put on ice because Senate Democrats disagree with Bush over how much control the White House will have over employees in the new department. GOP control of the Senate floor strengthens Bush's hand in that fight.Bush is now Free to build his new MKVD!

Democrats will now have to fight against Bush's judicial nominations on the Senate floor as well, or use extremely aggressive parliamentary moves to stall the nominations.

"It could change judicial nominations," said Stephen Hess, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

Democrats still have considerable sway at least in the Senate because it takes 60 votes to overcome serious opposition in that chamber. Democrats can use such procedural rules to delay or derail legislation they find seriously objectionable.

Problems From Governors

Democrats' gains among some of the governorships, however, could create the most serious problem for Bush's future political ambitions. Democrats were installed in the governorships of two key presidential battlegrounds: Pennsylvania and Michigan. Democrats there could make Bush's campaigning more difficult as Bush warms up for another run at the White House in 2004.

"I think the more important races are the governors," said Hess.
