Well here's an original idea whose time has come: a device that stops rapists in their tracks. I'm pretty sure that women living in South Africa (the rape capital of the world) would certainly appreciate this.

If there is any doubt that this is a manââ¬â¢s world one need not look any further at how we view the crime of rape.
Better yet, how we deal with rapist.
Why some things are controversial while other things are not never ceases to amaze me.
So much so that I actually looked up the word controversial because maybe I donââ¬â¢t really know what the word means?
"ââ¬Â¦A dispute between parties with opposing views." Ok thatââ¬â¢s what I thought it meant.
I am of the opinion that some things shouldn't be controversial because there shouldn't be an opposing view. At least, there shouldn't be enough people holding the opposing view to make it controversial. I mean if one person disagrees then I doubt anyone would call that controversial but look, Anti-ââ¬Åtossing acid in womenââ¬â¢s facesââ¬Â legislation are controversial in Bangladesh. I have no doubt that Anti-ââ¬Åshoving women into volcanoesââ¬Â laws were controversial in Mayan culture as well.
South African inventor Sonette Ehlers developed and anti-rape female condom. She should be made a saint. What was the miracle? That someone hadn't thought of it first.
You put it up inside of you, and if someone sticks their cock inside of you without you removing the anti-rape condom first, hooks will dig into his cock so deep that the rapist would need a surgeon to remove them. She calls her product Rapex and people are saying that it is controversial because it is ââ¬Åmedievalââ¬Â and ââ¬Åbarbaricââ¬Â.
But raping a woman isnââ¬â¢t barbaric? I am not trying to say that if you donââ¬â¢t like the anti-rape condom you are some sort of rapist apologist or anything of that nature, but I am saying that this isnââ¬â¢t even about fighting fire with fire. This is about how someone could look past the fact that a woman is being raped by someone and criticize the tool that she uses to protect herself and bring her attacker to justice.
What kind of misfiring is going on if your head that you can look right past the rape part and even offer and opinion on the Rapex product in that context?
And then to call the product controversial in a county that reports 50,000 reported rapes each year is beyond me.
And if South Africa is no different than any other place in the world, which I am assuming that they arenââ¬â¢t, the majority of rapes often go unreported. So their rape stats should be higher than that.
Then if you want to go beyond even that, one in every nine people in South Africa is HIV/AID positive and many of these rapes are perpetrated by men who are desperate and have been told by Witch Doctors that having sex with a virgin will magically cure them of HIV.
So rape victims keep getting younger and younger as men look for victims young enough to ensure that they are virgins so that the spell will work and cure them of AIDS.
ââ¬ÅIf a victim is wearing such a device it may enrage the attacker further and possibly result in more harm being caused,ââ¬Â said Sam Waterhouse, advocacy coordinator for Rape Crisis.
To me, saying that like telling a girl not to kick a guy in the balls if he is trying to attack you, because you wouldnââ¬â¢t want to piss him off?
The last thing on a guys mind who is bleeding all over the place because his dick is caught in a barbwire condom is beating the girl up.
Besides, whatââ¬â¢s the alternative, just lay there and let him rape you? Why are we concerned about his dick, his feelings or his self-esteem under these circumstances?
I will put money down that while he is spurting blood all over the place from his punctured erection his would-be victim will have more than enough time to get up and run for her life.
Sonette Ehlers has even had to deal with criticism that this Rapex device is only about vengeance. Like people that seek vengeance work on some lower moral threshold than people who let people walk all over them.
Vengeance would be going after the guy after the act and slashing his cars or cursing him by leaving a dead duck on his porch. Thatââ¬â¢s vengeance.
Using a taser on full blast on someone while they are caught in the act of climbing in your bedroom window to rob you isnââ¬â¢t about vengeance, thatââ¬â¢s about Karma.
As far as I am concerned Rapex is about Karma too.
