The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting today that rocker (Van Halen) David Lee Roth, will replace Howard Stern at Infinity Broadcasting beginning in December.

David Lee Roth. That guy is so last month. :bash: Son of an Orange County dentist, one time lead singer for Van Halen, and now "just an attention whore" looking for a job. (Sneer made at his cover of "Just a Gigilo" release some years ago.)
One more reason to turn the TV off and leave it off.

David Lee Roth's father was a Jew, but his mother wasn't, so technically he's not Jewish -- at least not according to Jewish law.

I know it's hard sometimes to get a background read on some of these people...I got his Jewish background from the following.

So they are replacing one half-Jew with another half-Jew. I doubt David Lee Roth has any talk radio talent at all, though. Infinity must be getting desperate.

Hell, he looks more Jewish than many full-blooded Jews.
The Jewish law that "Jewishness" is transmitted through the mother is a tradition based on prescientific principles, so naturally it doesn't match reality too well. Of course the "Jewishness" (as difficult as that is to quantify) of a half-breed Jew is entirely variable and doesn't depend at all on whether it comes from the mother's side or the father's.

His mother has called in to the show a few times, she sounds like a typical dingbat New York housewife of an earlier era (think Edith Bunker from All in the Family). The genetics of how one looks and behaves is of course something of a crap shoot. One often favors one parent more than the other, either father or mother. What is even more variable though is the environment one is raised in; even a purely genetically "gentile" person would probably be pretty screwed up if raised as a Jew. Maybe more so than average since genes and memes would not be "in sync" as it were.
Roth is a case, I assume, of favoring his mother since he doesn't "look Jewish".
IMO Roth as a replacement to Stern will drive the remaining holdouts to get satellite radio. The thought of David Lee Roth as a talk radio host is truly horrific.

It really does not matter who "runs" it officially, and we have absolutely no power over it as citizens and voters. As was the intention.

Not only that but the Hollywood gossip has been tracking him for years and it is known that Roth is a flaming homosexual who married a man in Hawaii two years ago. :lol:

Hmm, David Lee Roth gay. Wouldn't have seen that one. On the other hand, he might be an equal opportunity lecher, pretty much after anything that moves and arouses his interest, as so many rock stars have been. Given the hedonistic life style many of them lead, should not be surprised.

LOL, there's no way DLR is gay. Bisexual? Maybe. But I'd have to see some documentation.
I do know that Rob Halford is a homo. I was shocked when he came out, as I'd been listening to Judas Priest since Defenders Of The Faith was released and never suspected anything. But queer or not, he's an incredible singer -- one of the very best in music, I think.
XMH: Where did you hear that Klaus Meine is gay? All I could find on the Net about that in a quick search was this:
