Well the Senate has increased the number of H1-B visas by 30000. The good news is that this is only half of what was requested. The bad news is that we have so many qualified tech workers that are being looked over for foreigners. Whose Senate is it anyway?

And for every bright, taxpaying computer engineer we bring over, we get ma, pa, the in-laws, and two sets of grandparents coming over so they can spend their golden years on SSI/Medicare as well.

Don't kid yourself they are bright. Lots of riff-raff coming over to practice ethnic cronyism (to hire more of their shit-colored friends).

No question about that.
This is not a popular bill with the public. It's popular with the CEOs...This is a very important issue for the high-tech executives who give the money.

I saw where this was going well over 5 years ago. It wasnt until this year however that a way out for me came along. Now I stay home with our son and my wife works. No more computer programming for me, unless I do it solo. I will never do on-site contracting again, never. :cowboy:
Id rather smell my sons dirty diapers than the body odor of these dotheads anyday.

 I'm doing ok for now, I work for a smallish company that I do not have to travel for and can sometimes work from home. The down side is these guys are stuck in programming techniques of 20 years ago, the good thing is they aren't up on offshoring yet. Although we do have a couple of dotheads here. And yes there is BO.
