TOLEDO, Ohio ââ¬â A crowd that gathered to protest a white supremacists' march Saturday turned violent, throwing baseball-sized rocks at police and vandalizing vehicles.
Six people were arrested and police, fire and media vehicles were damaged, Police Chief Mike Navarre said.
At least two dozen members of the Roanoke, Va.-based National Socialist Movement (search), which calls itself "America's Nazi Party," gathered at a city park to march under police protection. Organizers said they were demonstrating against black gangs that were harassing white residents.
The march was canceled, and the violence broke out about a quarter mile away from the park along the planned route.
Keith White, a black resident, criticized city officials for initially allowing the march.
"They let them come here and expect this not to happen?" said White, 29.
Two hours after authorities called off the march, 150 officers in helicopters and cruisers and on foot, bicycles and horses continued to chase bands of youths.
The highlighted Fox News homepage link to this article says, "Riots Break Out at Ohio Neo-Nazi March." It's as if Fox is inviting readers to assume that white neo-nazis were rioting. Why not say "Blacks Riot..." But, thanks to Fox News for supplying a photograph, even if they don't have the courage to say in the text of the article that the rioters were black (as if even a picture was needed).
What about the neo-nazis' First Amendment rights? Why aren't the authorities protecting the rights of this unPC group?

What about the neo-nazis' First Amendment rights? Why aren't the authorities protecting the rights of this unPC group? It always gets me how people think that they have a right to not be offended by other peoples' speech.
As we all know here, the First Amendment isn't there to protect the right of people to say inoffensive things like "bunnies are cute" or "I really like the color blue." It's there to protect precisely that speech which offends people -- even the majority of people. That's why neither the mayor nor any other politician has the right to censor any political demonstration. The duty of government in this case is to make sure that everyone is allowed to say what he wants without fear of violent reprisal.
If those congoids in Ohio didn't like what the Nazis had to say, then all they had to do was have their own counter-demonstration. But I guess that wouldn't have been as fun as rioting and looting.

sure would hate to see any of those apes getting hurt by some of the white residents defending themselves or their property. that would be just terrible
