And so do a lot of other folks from Bush's stupidity...
You can call Bush a lot of things (and I have), but stupid is definitely not one of them.

That's a matter of opinion.
You can call Bush a lot of things (and I have), but stupid is definitely not one of them.
He certainly does not strike me as being very bright, but it is hard to tell. Is he actually intelligent (and just comes off as stupid), or is he truly a moron who is controlled by intelligent advisors behind the scenes? I go back and forth with this question, and I'm still not sure which it is.

The facts however, are undeniable. It is my understanding that Chimp Face has two degrees, one of which is a MBA earned at Harvard.

Why was Bush letting Condi know he needed a "bathroom break" by note? Is there some miscegenating going on in high places??
Why was Bush letting Condi know he needed a "bathroom break" by note?
He thought it would be inappropriate to raise his hand.

Q,

A "gentleman's 'C'".

I'm really not that impressed with folks who graduate from the Halls of Poison Ivy like Havard or Yale today. I believe their standards have fallen considerably over the years.

They clearly let him in solely because he had a wealthy father who had also graduated from Yale.

Behold Bush's Yale transcript, which has been a matter of public record since Bush's initial run for the White House:

With those grades, there's no way he got into Harvard Business School on his own merit! Someone obviously pulled strings for him.

What I can't understand about this thread is....why? Why is everybody making a big deal of the guy needing a bathroom break? I mean, c'mon - he had to take a whiz - so what? To my way of thinking, it's not that big a deal. I can't speak for the whole world of course, but I don't know a single soul, myself included, that doesn't go to the bathroom at least a couple of times a day and it never makes the Drudge report or the OD forum.

Opera,

Most of the comments I read here are questions and comments about Bush's intelligence.

It sounds too much like Forest Gump's famous "I gotta go pee".

I think though in part that's part of Dubbya's charm personna - admirer's always think Gumpishness sounds cute, and also unintentionally profound.
Actually, they're considerably harder to get admitted to now than when Bush was admitted. They clearly let him in solely because he had a wealthy father who had also graduated from Yale. But the education itself is sort of a matter of private jesting. You remember that famous remark about why Harvaad is one of the nations leading repository's of knowledge - because so many arrive with so mych knowledge, and leave with so little.

Behold Bush's Yale transcript, which has been a matter of public record since Bush's initial run for the White House:

I don't understand this transcript actually too well. I asume Yale must just give a standard 90-A, 80-B, 70-C type system. It does make low grades look slightly different.

Also I'm not sure what those scores are at the top, but it does seem to show Bush is not an innately dull fellow, if the numerical scores are anything like the SAT. Especially technically. Verbally - we all know the guy's no Cicero, although he's not an idiot.
