I discovered recently in the Washington Post that a group of black lawyers, to include with the predictability of gravitation Johnny Cochran, is planning to sue for reparations for, sigh, slavery. Blacks want more money (I could stop the sentence here) from me and my children. Sometimes I feel like an udder. The case for reparations relies on acceptance of what has become the public bedrock of American politics: That blacks have been terribly damaged by slavery, which has led to their generally sorry state, and that I did it. Therefore I should give them money.
[CENTER]Permit me a revisionist view of slavery.[/CENTER]
[B]I suggest that blacks ought to be grateful that their faster ancestors caught their slower ancestors -- which is exactly what happened -- and sold them to the slavers. American blacks would otherwise be somewhere on the Slave Coast of Africa, barefoot, illiterate, blankly ignorant, wearing loincloths, living in stick huts that would give Eeyore the willies, and shuddering with malaria. That's what Africa is: primitive, hopeless, godawful. I've been in Masai hutments, spent time in the outback of Cuando Cubango. It's not Stone Age. It's more like Stick Age. No country in Africa today comes close, or ever has, to the culture of Fifth Century Athens, 2500 years ago.[/B]
Yes, slavery was brutal and ugly. It was, however, hard on the slaves, not on today's blacks. Slavery brought our blacks into contact with a vastly superior civilization from which they benefit enormously, and without the slightest gratitude. Everything blacks enjoy in this country today -- air-conditioning, writing, automobiles, television, medicine, welfare, medicine, everything -- they enjoy only because they were brought here. [B]Further, they have contributed almost nothing to the industrial and technological flowering [/B] that has provided the benefits they enjoy.
I begrudge them none of this. I am, however, tired of endlessly being blamed for their problems.
[B]Whites, it seems to me, and not blacks, suffer the deleterious effects of slavery. The crime, AFDC, Section Eight housing, the other costs of supporting illegitimate children, the burned cities, the enormous hidden cost of affirmative action, the constant lowering of standards for blacks, the cost of police forces: Whites bear this burden. It is not light[/B].
And there is the unmentioned cost of fear. [B]Something seldom explicitly stated is that whites are afraid of blacks.[/B] Racial watchfulness circumscribes our lives. Whites cannot just take a convenient exit from an urban freeway to find a hamburger: If it goes into the ghetto, we may not get back out. A white woman (and FBI figures bear this out) has good reason not to get into an elevator after hours with a black man, unless he is clearly of the middle class. Always, whites make the calculation: Where are the blacks, can I walk here, live there, have an apartment on the ground floor? And what happens when the children reach the age to go to school?
I wish things weren't this way. If I could cause blacks to prosper and become middle-class wage wonks with Volvos, I'd do it. I don't want them to be unhappy. I don't want it partly because I don't like seeing people miserable, as blacks in the ghetto seem to be, and partly because I don't like living in . . . not quite fear, but alertness. Thing is, there's nothing I can do for blacks.
However, if they are going to accuse me of racism and oppression and worse, in defense I will suggest another explanation. Maybe the problem isn't whites. [B]What if blacks don't succeed because they can't succeed? On every known test of intellectual capacity, blacks score about a standard deviation below whites. While they can't be blamed for this, as neither can whites, in a technoindustrial society those fifteen IQ points are a killer, absolute death. The difference is altogether enough to account for the inability of blacks to progress despite almost frantic efforts by whites to jump-start them. Putting it otherwise, is there any reason to believe that blacks now in this country would be materially better off if slavery hadn't occurred? That if they had arrived as free citizens they wouldn't be exactly where they are today? The zeitgeist notwithstanding, differences of intelligence exist between both individuals and groups. The differences are real. They've been carefully studied at great length by very smart people who are perfectly aware of the pitfalls of testing. [/B] For example, Jews score a standard deviation above other whites. That is, their advantage over other whites almost exactly equals the advantage of whites over blacks. In any physics laboratory with a statistically significant number of physicists, a (very) disproportionate number will be Jews. Why? Because physics requires a high level of analytical intelligence. They've got it.
Permit me to enunciate a principle, the recognition of which would transform sociology: Brains have consequences. This luminous thought explains why affirmative action doesn't work, why Head Start doesn't work, why efforts to compensate for the effects of slavery don't work, why black students perform badly in school systems controlled by blacks, why blacks stubbornly remain almost nonexistent in fields such as high-energy physics. It also seems to explain (the differences are smaller and the evidence scantier) why certain Asians are so prominent in the mathematical professions.
Now, if blacks can't succeed, the moral landscape shifts. The usual basis for racial policy is that, the debilities of blacks being the result of oppression by whites, whites must therefore be punished and blacks compensated. Here is the guilt model, endlessly purveyed in politics. But if the problem is inherent, the moral element vanishes, and so does any hope that remedial programs will ever work. Then what?
I wish I knew. So far, we have established, without talking about it too explicitly, what amounts to a custodial state, in which blacks of the ghetto are supported by a patchwork of public assistance with no expectation that they will ever achieve civic responsibility. Affirmative action, a form of charity, provides jobs and artificial entry into the economic middle class for the more advantaged who nonetheless could not have been hired on their merits. (If they could be, they wouldn't need affirmative action.) Will this go on forever, with its concomitant resentments and hostility on both sides? Probably.

What is there to say? Everybody knows it's true; has known it, for decades.
I'm certainly glad that Fred Reed has taken the gloves off re blacks and quit talking in code, although he had to move to Mexico to do it - and even then, he needed the Katrina fallout to galvanize his rhetoric. (I used to read Fred's 'ride-along' columns covering the DC crime beat and, while he never wore blinders, he tended to mute his criticism of blacks down to a more politically-palatable volume level.)
Maybe one day we can look for Fred to similarly take Jews to task. Nahhh- just kidding. You can hoot at Negroes from the friendly confines of Mexico and no one will make your life very difficult for doing so. But there's no safe place from which you can discuss Jews with unsparing honesty...none. Reed enjoys being a curmudgeon, but I don't think he's ready to be a worldwide pariah just yet, unless he plans to relocate to Riyadh soon.

America's traverse of the empire stage of nation building is all but complete. We now are ruled by morons so doltish as to not even comprehend that they are stupid, let the alone the extent of their stupidity. Think of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Or, is that Zero fiddling while New Orleans burns?
And the stupidity of our leaders is epidemic. It's not just Bush, after all, who has demonstrated a complete lack of ability and finesse during our latest disaster, but also every single other so-called leader who has been involved:
The Black mayor of New Orleans, poster child for affirmative action.
The female governor of Louisiana, Exhibit A in how women differ from men and why it is that men should do the fighting and the leading, simply because men evolved differently, by dint of having to go out and fight both predators and the elements, while bringing home dinner to the family, safely ensconced in the cave.
The head of FEMA, a male political fop with no experience, no initiative and no backbone.
The Black leaders of America, not a single one of whom has pinned the tail on the correct donkeys - themselves and the Black criminals now running amok throughout New Orleans.
[B]Michael Chertoff, head of Homeland Security, merely one of far too many dual-nationality Jews in positions of power, too busy with jailing the real patriots of America and kissing the hem of Israel's garment in order to pay attention to the security of our homeland[/B].
The list goes on and on and on...morons, every single one of them. I look upon the leadership of America and I see nothing but morons, for miles and miles.
Here's the problem with intellect: On one end of the scale, people seem incapable of perceiving intellect greater than their own, similar to the human eye's inability to see beyond its own limited range and into, for example, infrared light. On the other end of the scale, massively intelligent people exist in total self delusion, building magnificent houses of cards, houses that collapse massively when a gust of wind (like Hurricane Katrina, for example) comes along. The rest of us are caught in between.
New Orleans was such a house of cards, carefully built up through the years. The San Francisco Bay Area is another, which will collapse completely during the next major California shaker. Any city with a significant Black population teeters on the edge, as New Orleans now has proven conclusively. Mestizos present the same danger, though few have yet to realize it. Quite aside from her foreign and domestic policies, America herself is yet another towering house of cards, though it took a hurricane to disclose just how shaky is America's foundation.
[B]Ducks go quack. The Irish get drunk. Blacks rape, rob and murder. It's genetic and infinitely predictable. You know it. I know it. Get over it. Why, even Black columnist Leighton Levy said so, just two days ago: "I am beginning to believe that black people, no matter where in the world they are, are cursed with a genetic predisposition to steal, murder, and create mayhem."[/B]
Last month I said, "Look to South Africa for America's future." Many laughed. Last week I said, "Look to New Orleans for America's future." Far fewer are laughing today. Yet, the revisionists are out in force, once again. Today, they are blaming the widespread Black raping, robbing and murdering extant in New Orleans upon the failure of our welfare system (code for "blame Whitey"). They blame the desperation of Blacks too shiftless to get out of Dodge when the getting was good upon the failure of Whites to rescue, feed and clothe them ("victims of their own desperation"). They blame the totally inadequate rescue and relief response upon the incompetence of our leaders (okay, they've got me there: stupid White people, sho 'nuff).
Today, the media shifted completely away from the raping, murdering and looting, to focus upon what now appears to be a herculean rescue and relief effort. Appearances can be deceiving. Don't think that the city isn't still in the hands of chaos. On the contrary. Even the few National Guard troops who have been dropped into the city know better than to tarry after dark.
[B]Yesterday, way too many Americans were beginning to realize, for the first time, exactly what it means to have Blacks living among us. That's why the media emphasis had to shift today.
Even yesterday, however, the media never hinted at the armed Black gangs which were actively hunting down White people and killing them, wherever found.
The media never told you of the all the bleeding-heart Whites who sailed and motored their boats into New Orleans, naively hoping to help evacuate stranded residents, but who ended up being boat jacked and murdered on the spot. [/B]
[B]The media never told you of the rape and murder of little girls of every color everywhere, or of the gang rape of White women by Blacks whenever and wherever possible.[/B]
The media never told you about the Black cannibalism that has begun in New Orleans, several days ahead of the schedule that even I set for it. Today they are eating corpses. Tomorrow they will be seeking out fresh meat.
Bear in mind that this is the same media that keeps the average American totally in the dark as to the barbarity America has unleashed upon so many other countries of the world in recent years. As my buddy Al likes to say, "If California fell into the ocean, would they tell us?"
Other countries now know how unprepared and ineffectual we are at dealing with domestic tribulation. Other countries now know how ineffectual is America's leadership. Until Bush, they thought we still elected Washingtons, Jeffersons and Hamiltons. Now they know better. Now they know our leaders are as stupid as are theirs. And America kept them well aware of just how vulnerable they, themselves, are, unlike America's leadership, still stuck in infinite self delusion.
Other countries watch in rapt fascination all the Black lawlessness and chaos that exists in New Orleans. They are stunned because they never have seen it before, following a natural disaster. They didn't see it in Indonesia, after the Tsunami. They didn't see it in Afghanistan after those earthquakes. They didn't see it in Russia, after Chernobyl. Only in America.
[B]Look at all the pictures televised yesterday (but not today, strangely enough) of all those Blacks just sitting around on their fat asses throughout New Orleans, waiting to be taken care of. Ask yourself why there are no similar pictures of Whites in other disasters - including Whites who were on welfare (or Indonesians following that tsunami, or Arabs after any earthquake, or...or...or...you get the idea)[/B].
Other countries now know what will happen domestically in America when the wheels come off: Exactly what I and so many others like myself have been saying for years. Precisely. Exactly. As a result, now they know how easily American can be defeated, despite her much-vaunted technological prowess. Today, the world is a much more dangerous place than it was just last week.
Given what has happened in New Orleans, it is not hard to imagine the complete and effective destruction of America through the placement of just a few high-yield nukes: Say, one each in New York, Boston, Norfolk, Miami, Washington, DC, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, plus one exploded high above Kansas to generate an electronics-killing ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP).
11 nukes. That is well within the reach of a great many countries throughout the world, who need merely carry them across America's nonexistent southern border. And many of them have the ability to deliver the EMP by rocket. There will be no need for an invasion force, no need to occupy, no need to subjugate what they perceive to be an already-beaten people.
There would be no rescue and relief effort mounted anywhere in America, of course. Hell, we can't even pick up the pieces of a single city flooded by a few feet of water. Picture the chaos of New Orleans magnified a thousand times, spreading out from the metropolitan areas to encompass virtually all of America.
Several short-sighted critics have taken me to task for the scenario painted in my book, Defensive Racism, of America breaking apart along racial lines following an attack from outside or, even, after the now-inevitable financial meltdown of America's economy. Okay, critics, look upon New Orleans today and tell me again how far fetched was my scenario.
[B]Blacks and Mestizos will respond predictably, according to the laws of genetics. The White Americans left alive will finish the job, quickly, dispassionately, effectively and permanently, also according to the laws of genetics. [/B] A New America will be the result. This column gets a lot email. Some of it assumes that ââ¬ÅNew Yorkââ¬Â and ââ¬ÅHollywoodââ¬Â are code words for ââ¬ÅJews,ââ¬Â and excoriates me mightily for not saying what I am assumed to mean. Let me give you a typical example, the subject line being ââ¬ÅFred Sees No Jews in New York and Hollywood.ââ¬Â ââ¬ÅDear Fred,
Good greetings.
Your column on Television Tyranny and Degeneration is strong and important, as your columns usually are. But it also shows you're unwilling to mention that Jews dominate these industries--again, as your columns always are scared to mention Jews.
You're not ignorant that Hollywood and New York, movies and television, are Jewish. You're unwilling to say so. You're unwilling to state publicly the hatred consistently pumped by Jews into the Gentile populations they dominate, degrade, and destroy.

I admire the fearlessness of John and Vince in having me take on the Jews. ââ¬ÅLetââ¬â¢s you and him fightââ¬Â is an old call. Being weary of this stuff, I am going to do a doubtless overlong column on the subject, and then go back to better things, such as drinking beer with colorful reprobates.
Now, the conventions of discourse being what they are, it is hard to talk about Jews at all. If you say, ââ¬ÅSome of my best friends are Jews,ââ¬Â it means you hate Jews. If you say, ââ¬ÅI canââ¬â¢t stand the freaking Jews,ââ¬Â it means you hate Jews. If you donââ¬â¢t say anything, it means you secretly hate Jews. If you say anything good about the Jews, it means that you are a tool of the Jews, or afraid of the Jews, or have had your mind clouded by Jews. Where does one go from here?

The premises of letters such as the foregoing are invariant: (1) that Jews want to destroy all that is good and holy, and eat Christian children, and (2) that I know it. It then follows that, since I donââ¬â¢t say it, I must be either cowardly or collusive. The matter is always phrased as a manhood issue: Either you stand up to the Jews, or you lack balls. The Jews of course are a monolithic and conspiratorial group who rub their hands and say ââ¬ÅHeh-heh-heh.ââ¬Â
Permit me a different interpretation.
Jews may be exotic in Peoria. (Or may not be: I have never been to Peoria.) In Washington, where I worked for years, they are as rare as automobiles. I have known lots of Jews. I have dated them, gotten drunk with them, danced with them, argued with them, gone on junkets to weird Asian countries with them. I liked most of them.
My favorite lunch buddy for a long time was a retired Harvard professor, Jewish, as decent a human being as I have ever met. My favorite dance partner was a Jewish radical feminist (I know, I know, but we liked each other) who was on an undefeated College Bowl team in the Sixties. My dentist was Jewish. The biochemist I used to windsurf with on the Potomac was Jewish. Beth, the pediatrician I dated at NIH, was Jewish, and an absolute sweetheart. I learned the Texas two-step from a Jewish carpenter (no, another carpenter) who moonlighted as a dance instructor. And so on.
Familiarityââ¬ânot fear of invisible radioactive death-needles from Mossad, or of being run out of journalismââ¬âis why I donââ¬â¢t devote my life to obsessing about the maleficence of Jews. Are there Jews who do things politically I donââ¬â¢t like? Yes. Are there Jews who do things politically Iââ¬â¢m not sure whether I like? Yes. Is there an Israeli lobby? Yes. Yet I have never encountered the evil Jews of The Conspiracy. I simply do not see them as bad people. I am not going to pretend otherwise to establish my virility for John and Vince.
In particular, I do not rave against the Israelis, because I donââ¬â¢t know what I think they should do. I note that their treatment of the Palestinians is indistinguishable from American treatment of the Iraqis and Vietnamese. Virtue does not exactly flood the world's streets, anywhere.
Further, Jews as I have known them are not monolithic. Politically they have been all over the place, though running to liberal: a professional conservative (Herb Berkowitz, the PR guy at the Heritage Foundation, a raucous Boston Jew and delightful loon), a couple of AIPACers, (Seth Carus and Steve Glick, pro-Israel but, Iââ¬â¢m sorry gang, not anti-American), libertarians, Greens, several with little or no interest in politics, some who in varying degrees disapproved of Israel.
I spent my high-school years aboard Dahlgren Naval Weapons Lab, living on Mathematicians Row (Caffee Road, just off the Circle). The names along the street were Cohen, Reed, Strauss, Kemper. I donââ¬â¢t know how they voted, but they designed armament for the Navy. Iââ¬â¢d guess Republican.
I donââ¬â¢t see the Jews of the email. That Jews are tremendously influential in the media is a fact, easily verified on the Web. However, the leap from ââ¬ÅJews are powerful in the mediaââ¬Â to ââ¬ÅJews are responsible for all social ills, the collapse of civilization, and everything I donââ¬â¢t likeââ¬Â is a bit of a stretch. Those I know have no idea why John and Vince loathe them, incidentally. Being hit on the head by a piano imparts little understanding of pianos.
Further, never do I encounter from the Johns and Vinces the idea that any Jew, ever, might have done anything good, however inadvertently. My experience is distinctly otherwise. For years I was a science writer in Washington. I spent countless days crawling through NIH, COMSAT, NASA, talking with Bell Labs and IBM Research, and places you have probably never heard of. (The PET lab of NIDA, National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore, for example, then run by a very bright Jewish woman.) The number of Jews in research, and in high-tech industry, is wildly out of proportion to their number in the population. They are a mainstay of the American lead in technology. This is bad?
Let me tell you a story. In the early Fifties, polio was a nightmare for parents. Lots of children clunked around in braces or sat forever in wheel chairs. Their girlfriends didnââ¬â¢t want them to get shot, nor did their parents. People didnââ¬â¢t need help to weary of an endless, bloody, pointless war, in which their sons were dying, in a place they didnââ¬â¢t care about and could barely find on a map. Christian kids in huge numbers did everything they could to avoid Vietnam, which is why the draft was needed to force them to go. Christians like Dan Quayle, George W, and Bill Clinton sought student deferments or ducked into the National Guard. Check how many of the Christian elite from the Ivies served in Asia. The anti-war movement wasnââ¬â¢t a Jewish plot. It was a national revolt.
Most of the things Jews are supposed to be doing, on examination, they arenââ¬â¢t. Is globalization a Jewish plot (as Iââ¬â¢m told), or the inevitable result of advancing technology? There is a story, possibly apocryphal, that Jung told Freud that the Jewish mind was obsessed with excrement, incest and phallic images. If it's true, I suspect it was a dig at Freudianism, with its emphasis on his belief in the incestuous Oepidal and Electra complexes, and the desire of the son to kill the father so he could have the mother. Incest and destruction. Where did Freud dig this up? From analying Jewish patients? I've never had such fantasies in my life, and I don't know of anyone who has.

In fairness to Fred, there are few columnists who write about war...particularly Vietnam...with more understanding and compassion for the common soldier thrust into it.
His reluctance to skewer Jews obviously has a lot to do with his friendships (and past romances) with Jews. One's worldview is always informed by one's experiences to a certain extent, and after all, nobody's perfect. But it would be nice if he could climb out of the tree and step back far enough to see the forest re Jews in America.

From time to time I write about the cloacal morality of the media as they go about wrecking civilization and annoying hell out of me. But generally I do my mochaccino-maverick, Jeff-Foxworthy-as-Rhodes-scholar shtick. Don't ask me why, but this fake-cowboy act is money in the bank: ask Don Imus if you don't believe me.
For rhetorical convenience I use "New York" and "Hollywood" as a sort of abbreviation for the news racket and the screen trades. What can I say? I just picked two cities entirely at random, and they sorta clicked for whatever reason. Well, anyway, this column gets a lot of email, and some of it assumes that "New York" and "Hollywood" are code words for "Jews" simply because they reside there in great numbers and control every aspect of public life in both places while carefully creating/filtering/vetting every published word and broadcast image set before the great mooing herd. In other words, classic anti-Semitism. Let me give you a typical example of such email, the subject line being "Fred I Kill You Jew Loving Scum."

Now if you say anything good about the Jews, it means that you are a tool of the Jews, or afraid of the Jews, or have had your mind clouded by Jews. But at least the checks clear.
The premises of letters such as the foregoing are invariant: (1) that Jews want to control and exploit the gentiles of the Earth via the most duplicitous, underhanded mind-control avenues available, and (2) that I like being liked enough to pretend I don't know this. It then follows that, since I don't say it, I must be either cowardly or collusive. The matter is always phrased as a manhood issue: either you stand up to the Jews, or you lack balls. (The fact that Jews have convinced the other 300 million of us that you either you stand up to the Arabs and the French or you lack balls is wholly immaterial. Who are you gonna believe anyway - Dennis Miller, or some angry white nobody on the freakin' Internet?) Permit me a different interpretation.
Jews may be exotic in Peoria. (What a dumb**** little nowhere burg: Peoria. Not at all like bustling, hectic Hazzard County, where I hail from, or exotic, flyblown Chocha Grande, the donkey-show capitol of the world where I currently reside. Who the hell would want to live in a Jew-free backwater like Peoria, after all?) In Washington, where I worked for years, they are as rare as civil-service niggers. I have known lots of Jews. I have dated them, gotten drunk with them, shared underage gook hookers with them, insider traded with them, informed on white supremacists to them. I liked most of them. (Like I said, them checks clear ever damn time.)
My favorite lunch buddy for a long time was a retired Harvard professor, Jewish, as decent a human being as I have ever met. You might think it odd that a hog-riding, Confeddit-flag-flyin' Waylon Jennings outlaw like me would make reservations ANYwhere for lunch, let alone with a yarmulked Harvard prof, but there you go. My favorite dance partner was a Jewish radical feminist (I know, I know, but I was tapping that ass). My dentist was Jewish. The biochemist I used to windsurf with on the Potomac was Jewish. Beth, the pediatrician I dated at NIH, was Jewish, and an absolute sweetheart. I learned the Texas two-step from a Jewish carpenter (no, another carpenter) who moonlighted as a dance instructor. Hey, you might also wonder why a shine-runnin' prefab-rebel Duke Boy like me didn't know ****-all about the Texas two-step to begin with and had to learn the steps from a Shmuel, but I was too busy windsurfing with Ira after nibbling sushi with Dershowitz to pay too much attention to that "Southern" shit.
Familiarity - not fear, I swear to God it's not fear -is why I don't devote my life to obsessing about the maleficence of Jews. Simple familiarity is all; simple familiarity. Yes indeed, I'm VERY familiar with what happens to people who DO devote their lives to obsessing over the maleficence of Jews. Not for me, thanks. I note that Israeli treatment of the Palestinians is indistinguishable from American treatment of the Iraqis and I fake temporary hearing loss whenever someone asks why Americans are in Iraq at all. Seems like Robinson and Steele each have their own agenda in pushing their shock tales of cannabalism. I wouldn't fault Steele for pursuing the angle that much information from NOLA has probably been suppressed or purposely ignored, but these irresponsible claims do more harm than good.

The West Point graduate wrote on shit and its prominence in cultures. Particularly illuminating was a southern custom of rubbing of stools under a young lady's underarm to determine if she would be a suitable fit for marriage.
