White South African Traitors Liquidate Selves: White 'National' Party bums join red-Black ANC

For various reasons, today is a historical day in South Africaââ¬â¢s political history.
After a period of 90 years, for the first time today since 1915, there wonââ¬â¢t be any member of the National Party who will be taking their seats in Parliament when the bells ring. This follows after Mr. Andre Gaum, as last NP Parliamentary member, followed his colleagues to join the ANC yesterday.
The NP consistently played a dominant political role in South Africa during the last century. The party ruled for the largest part of the 90 years. Where the NP was established in 1914 it already gained 27 seats in the first election in 1915. After 10 years the NP became the ruling party in South Africa for the first time in 1924. After losing power in the thirties, the NP took control of the government again in 1948. The NP would thereafter govern for an uninterrupted period of 46 years up to 1994.
The fact that the NP has perished, is not the result of a lack of voter support but as a result of a decision of the leadership to make use of the floor crossing clause to join the ANC. During the last general election in 2004 the NNP received close to 300 000 votes. These voters are now without a party and will have to decide where their political home will be.
