[I]I'm a working class convenience store clerk, and I just sent $25 to Gilchrist for Congress, via their secure credit/debit card site, within minutes of discovering the reprint of this fundraising appeal at [url=http://www.nationalvanguard.org]National Vanguard[/url] (I guess I won't be going to the Santa Rosa Minuteman/Eagle Forum event after all, but that's OKay, as my wife wants to spend that day, up until I have to be a work by 2, going to garage sales anyway). Not trying to sound snide (yet probably still am), but most of you guys probably make a lot more than I do, and this is one of the best opportunities to donate to a worthy campaign with real potential for electoral victory this Fall that I have ever seen! Need I say more? I know Walter's going to be good for something, so how about a few more of you? Now is a downright lousy time for complacency, as I'm sure you'll all agree. So Mr. Gilchrist tried (not all that successfully, alas) to co-opt the establishment-generated popularity of that conman "Dr. King" for the benefit of our nation & people? So what? The Minutemen can't afford to be painted as racists within the context of the present system, or they'll be made ineffetive, but the leftists are right about one thing: Everyone in the Minutemen, or otherwise preoccupied with immigration from Latin America, is motivated partly, often largely or entirely, by racial concerns.
The Minutemen are a nearly all-White, and almost overtly White racialist organization that is both popular among the people and so far successful (accoridng to Federal border officials) in its still youthul and emerging effort to reduce illegal immigratio through direct action. But we should deride it, and deny its founder a seat in Congress (the Republican has no chance, by the way; the winner will either be Gilchrist or a mestizo Democrat leftist representative of these very same illegal Mexcrements that Mr. Gilchrist is working hard to keep out of our communities and gene pool; by all means, let's not aid Gilchrist, as we just don't have enough people like Loretta Sanchez in the Congress!), because he made one somewhat inarticulate attempt to apply the sort of intellectually dishonest ideological window dressing* one needs to apply in order to remain effective in the sordid reality of today?
No offense, man, but that attitude would be a far better choice for appearing under the header "Moronic" than anything I've heard in regard to Mr. Gilchrist, his candidacy, or the Minutemen.
Its reminiscent of Buchanan's somewhat sad (yet totally well-intentioned, of course; his patriotism is above reproach) attempt to protect himself from the PC lynch mobs by picking a Black woman, anti-immigration activist and John Birch Society member Ezola Foster, as his Reform Party veep nominee.

Stunningly holds off GOP front-runners; outdraws leading Democrat; scores second-place surge on election day
With 268 of 268 precincts reporting in California's District 48, Minuteman Founder Jim Gilchrist emerged victorious from Tuesday's primary, having forced a run-off of the top vote-getters of each qualified party in a Dec. 6 special general electionââ¬âand having scored a second-place surge of Election Day votes.
Gilchrist climbed steadily as the precinct-vote results were coming in, while Republican State Assemblyman John Campbell dropped steadily beneath the 50% threshold needed to win outright, settling at 46%.
Gilchrist drew 14.4%, an unprecedented and formidable showing for an Independent candidate in a crowded field of 17 hopefuls. Leading Democrat Steve Young drew single digits, at 8.9%.
Gilchrist, Campbell, and Young will contend in December for a seat vacated by the appointment of Rep. Chris Cox to the Securities and Exchange Commission, necessitating the special election.
A total of 80,361 votes were cast in the primary, representing 20% of registered voters in the district.
In assessing Tuesday's results, the most astonishing political result is that Gilchrist garnered nearly 27% of the precinct votes actually cast on Election Day (as opposed to votes cast early by absentee ballot)--demonstrating a 21-point surge following the two weeks of Early/Absentee Voting, compared to a 15-point drop for Campbell on election day.
Early/Absentee vote:
Campbell 52% Brewer 15% Young 10% Gilchrist 6%
Election Day vote:
Campbell 37% Gilchrist 27% Brewer 19% Young 7%
It's worth noting that almost 60% of all ballots cast were submitted as "absentee" ballots (which under California law are essentially equivalent to voting by mail). Many, if not most, of these ballots were submitted weeks earlierââ¬âbefore the Gilchrist campaign made its final push prior to Tuesday's election.
The Gilchrist campaign now has two full months to continue to put Jim Gilchrist in front of the electorate before the general electionââ¬âand clearly, as people come to know Jim, they love him and what he stands for.
This two-month window will greatly benefit Jim Gilchrist, who enjoys a substantial 48th District and national following for his leadership on Americaââ¬â¢s border security and illegal immigration crisis.
