I hate to beat a dead horse, but to repeat myself for the second time, none of this Supreme Court nominee news matters. What John Roberts thinks about Roe v Wade is irrelevant. To quote myself:

"... Bush could overturn Roe tomorrow by simply declaring an end to "judicial supremacy" as stated in Cooper vs Aaron in 1958. He could simply say, 'I declare the equal right of the executive branch to define the constitution. If the court wants Roe, let them enforce it. My attorney general will not.' Congress could do the same. The whole issue gets tossed back to the states, where it belongs."

That's why Bush and the whole pro-life movement are such frauds and shams. This stupid circus over every judgeship that comes along is just a sop and a farce. Why doesn't anyone in the right-wing media have a clue and state the facts?

Of course. And the same goes for the whole raft of SCOTUS decisions. It really is a democratic republic, after all.

Not to mention that Bush is just rewarding some Baby Boomer hack who rubber-stamped his PATRIOT Act while on the DC Circuit. Nino should have been made the chief. :furious:

At any rate, Bush and the so-called right-wing media are frauds.
