Proof positive that wnd is just a few steps away from being in the same shoebox as the ADL and SPLC. They always start out an article like this in a similar way. Note the first few lines in the article...

They look at a streaming tide of brown, black and yellow and cant figure out why assimilation doesnt work anymore. They refuse to aknowledge what our ancestors knew for fact, long before they had cnn to tell them what to think. Instead they discredit 200 yrs of our immigration history as "bigoted" and "discriminatory". They lament that everyone can be an "American", if they just try hard enough and that no ethnic group(s) should be treaded any different regarding immigration, except maybe muslims. Gee that must be ok because we definately dont want anyone that harbors anti-semitic thoughts now do we ?

Ward Connerly is black and married to a White. I suspect that is why he has the view he has. He is best known for a I&R proposition to remove race classification from government documents in California.

Ward was one of the more sensible voices in CA during the massive fights to remove racial quota admissions from the CA university system, which effectively gave slots to less qualified blacks and latino's and excluded whites, he actually fought to defeat this practice. The university's still do it though technically illegal.

Cal I fled from, assimilation is not how I would describe the entire area of Orange County I lived in turing into the barrio complete with graffiti, shootings, spanish language billboards, street vendors, and trash everywhere. Yep that cultural diversity is great. The cultural elite just cannot seem to get it.
