Paul Craig Roberts does a good job of categorizing these "abundance" of new jobs and finds that they're all in the service and domestic sectors.
I sometimes pick up the New York Times on Sundays. Even within the past 3 years or so, I've seen the employment section of the paper shrinking and shrinking evermore. The job market is simply abysmal.
No worries though. The Army National Guard is hiring! And, they even raised the enlistment age to 39.
