More Stupid protests...

FReepers score own goals in Crawford

Via Atrios, professional Freeper agitator Kristinn Taylor tried to distance FR from a fellow pro-war protestor in Crawford yesterday:

A handful also got themselves arrested, including a protester whose anti-Sheehan sign was deemed unnecessarily offensive by organizers of a large pro-Bush rally. The man carrying the sign became violent when he was asked to put it down.

Ken Robinson, of Richardson, Texas, who described himself as aVietnam veteran, was carrying a sign at a “You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy!” rally. The sign read, “How to wreck your family in 30 days by ‘b**** in the ditch' Cindy Sheehan.”

Kristinn Taylor, an event organizer with FreeRepublic.com, heard about the sign and rushed up to Robinson.

“This is our rally and you can't do that here,” he said, only for Robinson to insist he was within his rights.

Camera crews rushed in and Taylor turned to face them.

“To all the media here, this sign is not representative of the crowd here today,” Taylor announced. Some of the crowd around Robinson came forward to shake his hand, while others chanted, “Idiot, go home.”

The two men then squared off and raised their voices.

“Just get outta here!” Robinson yelled, and aimed a kick at Taylor's midsection. Taylor called for security, and a young Woodway policeman quickly showed up.

“I have the right to freedom of speech,” Robinson said.

Robinson continued to protest loudly as police handcuffed him and led him away.

The only way the sign wouldn't be "“representative of the crowd here today,” is if there weren't any Freepers there, because as you can see here and here, the sign is highly representative of Freeper attitudes and rhetoric, more shame to all of them. The Free Republic website is monitored, highly censored and demands conformity of ideology so if posts calling Cindy Sheehan "The bitch in the ditch" or "Ditch Bitch" were unwelcome, they'd be out of there. They're displayed in all their vicious glory still.

Were there Freepers in Crawford this weekend? Well, who else would be stupid enough to attack their fellow pro-war Republicans? Apparently, some reading-challenged Freepers were enraged at some Protest Warrior signs that were sufficiently complex for the message to go right over their heads, so they did what comes naturally to them -they eliminated them.

AP reports: At the pro-Bush rally several miles away, there were some heated moments when two members of Protest Warrior, a group that frequently holds counter protests to anti-war rallies, walked in with a sign that read "Say No to War Unless a Democrat is President."

Many Bush supporters only saw the top of the sign and believed the men were war protesters, so they began shouting and chasing the pair out. One man tore up their signs. When Will Marean of Minneapolis kept repeating that he was on the Bush side and tried to explain Protest Warrior's mission, one Bush supporter shook his hand and apologized.

A Freeper who was there posted, "Even the "victim" admitted that he could see how the misunderstanding could happen. But it WAS quite a scene, and I think the poor guy was literally terrified."

Yep, they really live up to their name, "Free" Republic. Speaking of dumbasses, RimJob is headed to Crawford to engage in the group kool-aid drinking.

Freepers and their ilk are the perfect example of "useful idiots." Almost to a person, they are of low intelligence and high gullibility, swallow all the lies they're told by the government, and provide the numerical/political strength needed to allow Bush & Co. to get away with their crimes.
"Kristinn" is an incredibly gay name for a male.
Yeah, I thought Kristinn was a woman until the article said, "The two men then squared off...." Who the hell would name their son "Kristinn"?

Anyway, all Freepers might as well be fags as far as I'm concerned, seeing how they suck on the private parts of Bush and the rest of the neocon leadership.

It would be nice to see the Hydra-headed "veronica" there to lop off a few of its greasy heads....but hey that would be anti-Semitic eh.. Angler, you are a cool guy and I agree with most everything you say (except about the Church) but I wish you would at least use Pilate as your avatar instead of the Evil One....it is not good to invoke him.....
Angler, you are a cool guy and I agree with most everything you say (except about the Church)... Thanks, SG.

I don't hate the Church, by the way; I just don't believe in any "revealed" religion. I certainly have nothing against Christians as a whole. My own family members and most of my friends are Christian, and I was once a Catholic myself.

...but I wish you would at least use Pilate as your avatar instead of the Evil One....it is not good to invoke him.....
Oh, that's not the Devil -- it's Ihsahn, singer/guitarist/keyboardist from the Norwegian metal band Emperor. I just thought it was a cool picture. They split up to join other bands a few years ago, but I really like the music they put out over the decade they were together. Even though they used some Satanic/occult imagery, most of their lyrics had little to do with Satan and were more "abstract and pompous" (in Ihsahn's own words) than anything else.

Here's a more recent (and more normal) picture of Ihsahn:
"Kristinn" is an incredibly gay name for a male.
IR,

Not to worry, "Freepers" have become alot more tolerant since the Jeff Gannon affair. He's a poster.

"Kristinn" one time made a big deal about going to the D.C. post office or something like that and possibly being exposed to Anthrax back when those letters were being sent. Of course this generated quite a thread.

Angler,

In the past I have written that if they ever remake "1984" they should cast Hannity in the role of "Parsons". I think that for the "two minute hate" they could use the "freepers" photograph here for that scene.

"Freeper" lurkers-- you know when J.R. gets back from his photo op in Crawford that you can expect another begathon, so get those wallets and checkbooks ready. Gas isn't cheap, you know.

A very short video of "patriots" in action at Crawford. It's short because they figure the interviewer as the "enemy". If those folks really want to "support the troops", they should do so by enlisting instead of hiding behind this crap about it being a volunteer force. If they are not willing to do that they should shut the hell up. They got to be "talk radio" listeners.

....not only is there a threat of civil war in Iraq, there's threat of another civil war in America. The anger and hatred of pro-war and anti-war Americans is so thick that it's just a short leap for that hatred to manifest itself into all-out violence.

For me, seeing pro-war people in pictures and video and reading some their pro-war rants boils my blood to such an extent that I'm hurting my health by boiling in anger at them. Can't imagine what I'd do if I was confronted by them at a rally or such.

Gee Dubya and his anointed Neocons have destroyed America.

"Freepers." Was there ever a bigger group of useful idiots? The sad part is, there are still, even after all the purges of non-groupthinkers, some decent, intelligent people in that sewer, though their numbers are getting smaller by the day as the place becomes more and more an echo chamber. Pretty soon with luck, it'll just be ol' Rimmy and the mods talking to each other. :jester:

Destro,

Getting kick off that board of sycophants is something to be worn as a badge of honor. A number of us have had the pleasure of raising RimJob's wrath and being removed. Some of us several times.

Tell us, you're in good company here, what did you do to make RimJob and company mad?

It could be I was too supportive of Russia over the neocon agenda against her or too supportive if the Serbs over NATO.

I don't know - or care at this point.

FreeRepublic has degenerated into a zombie fest.

Being on FreeRepublic made me realize what it would be like to have lived in Red China during the cultural revolution with Freepers taking on the role of the little Maosist waving their little book at you. In fact the way they attack Cindy Sheehan is so Marxist in origin in betrays the Trotskyite mentality that originated the necon think which has taken over FreeRepublic.

Destro,

I understand. I'd say that both positions were extremely unpopular over there. You might have pointed out that the evil looking Krauthammer was against bombing Serbia, but they would have nailed you anyway over Russia. Perle is leading the charge against them over Yukos and the oligarchs. I read some of the stuff about Cindy Sheehan and I can see that the foul "Howlin" (who warrants that name) was one of the leading kommissars, probably with the rest of the witchs' coven that calls itself "The Guild" riding on the back of her broomstick.

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Welcome Destro.

Anyone banned from FR for espousing real conservatism is welcome here at OD. Most all of our charter members, including myself, were banned from there in mid to late 2001 in the great paleo/Buchanan/Francis/vdare purge.

I think we did our job in exposing the alliance of the Clintonistas with al-Qaeda allies in the Balkans - also how the 9/11 cell was composed of jihad vets from Bosnia.

I am also on LibertyForum but they seem to be of the tinfoil hat variety.

All I know is the neocons are destroying this country and have subverted the Republican party into a cult.

True old school constitutionalist conservatives have been ghettoized.

Destro,

I reckon that the reason for you surviving so long over there is because you and your group were in a quiet corner having a serious discussion whereras the typical "freepers" were out there bitching about "liberal and Democrats", praising Israel and what a great guy Bush is. I only found your group by accident. The more intelligent thought was there. The Balkan group was pretty much ignored by the rank and file and the moderators. I believe that one day someone started reading what was posted there and brought it to RimJob's attention. Of course, it is part of the mantra that "we saved the Muslims from genocide", so they obviously couldn't have a group of malcontents writing about the collection of "allies" we have in the KLA and the folks they have ties to. For RimJob and the rest of those fools it simply was too much of an exercise to try to intelligently think this out. This had to be a source of severe migraine headachs for them. No, far better to emote, for critical thinking left "Free" Republic years ago save for a few isolated pockets that haven't been rooted out yet.

Destro, from my rare visits to FR I remembered you as one of the few sane voices in that insane asylum of Limbaugh Dittoheads, raving rapture cultists, worshippers of George W. Bush, and AIPAC agitators. I was also wondering how you lasted as long as you did.

Inspired by your example (i.e. a voice of reason shouting against a chorus of "Guild" harpies and Limbaugh dittoheads) I logged onto FR with a new handle to see how long I would last. I lasted for all of a whopping 7 posts. My first 4-5 were on Balkans threads, where I pointed out the hypocrisy of Republicans who opposed the pro-KLA war when it was Clinton's baby but changed their tune when their demigod George W. Bush expressed his approval. I got flamed, but so far, so good.

My next two posts (about a month later) were a response to a thread where some chattering Weekly Standard neocon referred to paleoconservatives like Sam Francis as "pseudointellectuals." My post was along the lines of, "Yes, Dr. Francis was indeed a pseudointellectual when compared to such intellectual giants as Jonah Goldberg, Rush Limbaugh, and Anne Coulter."

I also found a thread where rabid Zionists were wailing about how the UK betrays Israel and should be added to America's enemy list (yes, even England is now suspect !!!). I wrote, "Indeed, perfidious Albion. You would think that those limey ingrates would show Israel more affection after Begin blew up the King David Hotel."

Seconds later, every post I made was pulled and my account was deleted. The last two posts tread on the wrong toes, but it proves once again who calls the shots at that cyber sewer.
