Latest incarnation - 'aimshi' - handing Angler his lunch.
I gotta give Raina some credit. His ability to change personas and make very intelligent arguments within said persona is quite remarkable. He's obviously a very intelligent fellow and quite a shame he is such a perverted weirdo.

Raina is a troll's troll.

I strongly suspected that was Raina. The same MO.
Disagree about his being a convincing performance, just clicking with some peoples' convictions. Shows how easy it is to blend in, just parrot some arguments.
Okie, I don't have the link to that thread anymore. There was nothing ineteresting anyway, if you wanted to get the history of the developments. All the action happened on donkey's forum.

Not really. But it would be cool if he was. It's always a nice touch when the voice thundering from the pulpit, rallying the faithful, turns out to be (another) scat-obsessed opportunist.

Looks like he was aiming for "Boyd Rice", fell WAY short, and had to settle for Jim Goad meets Paul Lynde instead. Ain't male-pattern baldness a bitch, though?

You don't think 'aimshi' and 'Genevan' were both Raina?
They both were quintessential Raina M.O.s.-- sharply defined character w/rigid ideology, immed. attacking specific posters, etc.

While I cought the news about Raina on donkey's forum before it went puff, what's the story about another weirdo, Fake? Is he or is he not what he purported himself to be, like a relative of some dead politician? :yucky:

TD,
Methinks that Rainia or some other trolls are parked at the League of the South Forum with the same MO as you describe above. The problem is that LOS forum does not have moderators, which is surprising since they are thought to have such anti-PC views that many characters would go there to cause trouble.

While I don't mind using "Raina" as a catch-all term symbolizing all ballbusting cyberpests, trolls, hackers, etc.....you seem to have forgotten that boards like this attract a lot of pests. Sure, they all "look" like Brandon Orr from a distance, but I have no doubt a lot of not-Rainas have been bumrushed out of here because of that vague resemblance. Particularly given all the recent lurkers.
Otto R sorta kinda looked like Raina from a distance too...remember?

So that is Raina; Odd. He is some kind of sick Sodomite.

I.e., they don't want to be responsible for the content, and if it gets too weird, they just shut down the board and say "we had no idea what was on there, we were busy doing something else". Like Sam Francis forum, CoCC and LOS have all done in the past.
People are wise to that I think now.
Latest incarnation - 'aimshi' - handing Angler his lunch. When did this happen, exactly? It's more like he handed me his lunch money.
I gotta give Raina some credit. His ability to change personas and make very intelligent arguments within said persona is quite remarkable. He's obviously a very intelligent fellow and quite a shame he is such a perverted weirdo.
You call those arguments "intelligent"? Dear Lord, he was using some of the most simpleminded and threadbare arguments possible. He was making totally unfounded leaps such as, "There must be a first cause; therefore, a supernatural God exists." In short, stuff that would have caused him to flunk out of Philosophy 101.
The problem is that you automatically think any argument in favor of your position is a good one, and any argument against it is weak. You should try to be more objective, even if you disagree with someone.
Disagree about his being a convincing performance, just clicking with some peoples' convictions. Shows how easy it is to blend in, just parrot some arguments. Exactly.
I will admit this, though: the guy had me going. I really did think he was sincere. That's why I tried to be polite to him. I guess I missed the post(s) that caused him to be banned, so I don't know what gave him away.
