Dear ****,
I don't expect for you to respond to every one of the (what you might think are) strange articles of my pen; but this one is very interesting.
**** had written to me a couple months back, that he'd heard rumors of Jane Fonda having been a CIA "asset" (largely unpaid; working for "the Cause"). I wrote, in response, that if this were so, it would have meant that certain elements in CIA were against the Vietnam war and were using her as propaganda to elicit the withdrawal of US troops. & that might very well have been the case. The CIA has warring factions, etc.
One of my political allies wrote to me last week, to tell me that Tom Hayden (who had been Jane Fonda's lover for many years) had picked up on an article I'd written, regarding TV/newspaper figure Robert Novak having been (or, is still) a CIA agent, within Operation MOCKINGBIRD.
MOCKINGBIRD was/is a CIA infiltration project which gains its "assets" or operatives seats in the U.S. Media. Bob Woodward (who gained access to "Deep Throat"/Mark Felt) is a MOCKINGBIRD agent. As is William F. Buckley. I know of Buckley's involvement (100% true) via Ted Humes, who served as a Buckley's CIA station-partner in Japan from 1951-54.
Tom Hayden lifted my article, sans attribution, and posted some of it at Arianna Huffington's media "blog" (Web site).
Many friends of mine began writing to me, saying: "Hey, man: Tom Hayden has lifted your sh*t and is running with the 'Novak is CIA' angle."
What I'm presuming is, that Robert Novak is a long-time CIA asset within Operation MOCKINGBIRD; and that he knew of Valerie Plame's identity from the inside. Karl Rove (who has also been fingered as revealing the identity of a "non-official cover" CIA agent) is a skunk for many reasons (I loathe the guy); but I have very legitimate reason to believe that Bob Novak is the ultimate Source.
There is no way in the world that Time magazine writer Michael Cooper and NY Times writer Judith Miller (who is now in jail for the issue) could be busted, but that Novak could have escaped punishment. Novak was the first person who revealed the identity of Valerie Plame (Valerie Wilson). The only way that he could not be in prison now is, if he is part of an internal warring faction of CIA and is, himself, CIA. CIA agents don't get busted, unless they are bonafide traitors (Aldrich Ames/Soviet spy); they are protected otherwise.
I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this angle. Am very grateful to the late Ted Humes for having taught me quite a lot of things as to his background.
Thot you'd like to know.
Todd

By Carol D. Leonnig and Jim VandeHei Washington Post Staff Writers Friday, October 7, 2005; Page A04
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove will again testify to a grand jury that is in the final stages of investigating whether senior Bush administration officials illegally leaked the identity of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame to the media more than two years ago, a source familiar with the arrangement said yesterday. ...[/QUOTE]
This is the fourth time that special prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald has called Rove to appear. Karl Rove has already admitted to telling Robert Novak about Valerie Plame... but he denied mentioning her employment for the CIA.
Bill O'Reilly speculated last night that ââ¬Åthe reportersââ¬Â are probably giving a different account of events than Karl Rove is giving.
Could Karl Rove finally be getting caught-up in his web of evil?

Phantasm,
I believe this is directed more against Libby than Rove. Either way, this goes right into the VP's office and the lies created there.
