According to the Texas state constitution (as if it really matters anymore), a state income tax is not allowed. With the rising mex population and increasing costs of social services, how long until the cry goes out for more tax revenue?

Texas is still among one of the few states that does not have a state income tax.

Which would make Texas look much less attractive to foreigners seeking a grab bag as I've pointed out before. Again there is no way to support these pyramid schemes indefinitely even with high taxation. Hell even many high-taxing countries in Europe are running out of money for welfare.

No state tax in Oregon and they do keep a tight control on welfare and food stamps......to get Medaid is almost impossible.
