In the 1800s, America sent soldiers overseas to fight in wars approximately two times.

In the modern era, America sends soldiers overseas to fight in wars about once every decade, give or take five years.

Worse, most of the wars that American soldiers have fought in had nothing to do with America[I] per se[/I], e.g. Vietnam.

It is time for America to develop an isolationist foreign policy in which American soldiers fight in wars only if it is absolutely necessary.

I have mentioned isolationist foreign policy before on this message board, but I felt the need to mention it again.
