What makes it even sweeter is since India falls under the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), GM can import it all duty-free.
Just one more shining example of how our federal govt. is a great friend of corporate execs and the enemy of the American working man.

you asked...
As a 8yr veteran of the IT industry, ive worked for dozens of companies all over the dallas/fort worth area, including many of the fortune 500. Times were good and money rolling during the dotcom boom, but even then the foriegn 3rd world stooges were being brought in as fast as corporate brass could find them.
Indians, for the largest part get brought in to an IT department because of their extremely low labor costs. Nine out of ten will write code that is so buggy and hard to read that when they are done its nearly useless and has to be re-written. The one out of the ten that can write decent programming code is still a pain in the arse to sit next to or be in the same room with day in and out. Management rarely will agree to a re-write of the code, so you get stuck fixing and maintaining the mess the dotheads created. Anyone that has spent any time writing code such as visual basic, java or something else, knows what Im talking about.
This is really an old story though, just a few years ago, many forums were full of stories of how people were being replaced with (mainly) indian workers on h1b visas. nowdays, its a done deal even though outsourcing is still taking place, as well as more indians are coming in to take jobs here on h1b visas. however, the bulk of the flow of either jobs or h1b dotheads is now old news. Not many corporate IT departments remain that have not seen 50-70% of their IT staff replaced with dotheads, or some combination of dotheads + chinese + jamacians.
These dotheads smell bad enough to gag a billygoat because they rarely wear deodorant and eat heavily spiced foriegn foods. At lunch time, the company breakroom will see dotheads and chinks lined up to microwave whatever concoction they have brought with them. Thats if the department manager isnt taking everyone out to lunch for "ethnic food" and a "team building meeting".
Im lucky that I worked as a contractor for the better part of the 8yrs that I have spent in IT, because that shielded me from most of the "employee politics" and "diversity seminar" BS. I just was there as a hired gun...at least as long as it took to bring in more dotheads. However, when I finally decided to give it all up this year, the company I was working at had better than 70% of its IT staff as indian contractors. Basically it was white project managers and indian coolies. While I was there, manager positions were beginning to be taken by the dotheads that have managed to stay here or get their greencards. Any guess who their preference is when they are hiring ?
I dont post much any more about this topic because as ive said, its kind of old news now. However, it still strikes a raw nerve when i start thinking about what im going to encourage my son or young relatives to pursue. Im leaning more toward a skilled trade as advice, something that can not be digitized and sent to india and china, or would require him to sit in an office surrounded by 3rd world skid marks.

Hindumonkeys are total inept idiots. There's are smart individials in a thin layer in their highest casts, but percentage-wise it's miniscule, and their elites aren't able to do anything with their mass of lazy thieving lying useless people.
I am amazed at this bogus claim to fame of Indian software engineers. They do software becausee it's the easiest skill to pick up, provided some basic intelligence level, of course, and everyone expects bugs in software (unlike in a complex mechanical-electrical system).

Nice story, JoseyWales. My experience is similar to yours. Thankfully, there are still "diverse" islands where one is not yet totally subsumed by the hindumonkey/chink contingent (haha, when shit really hits the fan you long for diversity, lol). And as far as ethnic chronyism goes, no doubt that these turd-worlders will form clans/mafias inside a company.

No, only if you want to get a GI killed. Go look at those rounds again. I wouldn't even want you shooting that crap.
As much as I despise Israel I'd rather see them use IAI ammo until the idiots here get production ramped up. (they may have by now) Like it or not, the Israeli ammo is of good quality.

NEW DELHI - General Motors Corp. plans to buy $1 billion worth of automobile parts from India each year by 2008 as part of cost-cutting efforts at the world's biggest automaker, a senior executive at its local subsidiary said Friday. Anyone who's been in a GM car knows how crappy the electrical systems already are. My dad's Buick's windows roll down when he starts the engine.... sometimes they won't go back up (it's like a 2001 model). The windshield wipers, radio, etc. are often buggy, probably because the negroes in the GM factories smoke pot during their breaks.
Pretty soon, we can expect to see stories of GM cars having bumpers and mirrors just falling off while in motion.

I have never seen ammo in such bad conditions as the ones in that picture, incredible.
Right after the 1991 war against Iraq we gave the Zionists tons of ammo as being "old" and in 2003 we had to ask them to give it back.
Also we gave about 7 cannons to mountain retreats and tourist areas in order for them to create avalaches from the snow and then we had to ask them also to give it back to the military.
The military at this time are having civilian ammo makers make some of their ammo but they need more, the military are also making more military equipment than they really need at this time, either for the draft or for a very prolongated or new war.
Read at two places that more open field prison camps are being build in the US , cannot confirm.

It's all a "goddam yankee plot", isn't it? I got some news for you. One of the units over there is one I used to be in years ago. It is part of the Georgia National guard and that unit is overwhelmingly made up of Southerners and here it is you want them killed. I suppose you would say they are all scalawags. For me, it is easy to see why some folks display ignorance about the South, they have encountered folks like you.
Well, on these boards there are some folks who think every day is 1938, 1945, or 1954. For you every year is 1865. Get over it, the war's over.
Here's something else for you- learn to distinguish between a Northerner and a "yankee" or don't be surprised if you get flamed by some of the other members that are tired of your nonsense.

You are fighting for the Empire. Neo-cons love folks like you. Cannon fodder. Sir, you need a history lesson. We live under the oppressive heel of a new nation whose Founder is lincoln. And it's been down hill ever since. lincoln and his cabal discarded the real Founders and the Constitution and set up a new nation, an empire, bent on greed and conquest.
It isn't over. Please show me the surrender documents where the Confederate gov't surrendered. They didn't.
So you support the Empire? The abortion, the social programs, the affirmative action, the illegal taxation of citisens, the destruction of the Constitution, the moral decay promoted by the gov't schools? I don't think you do.
So why do you keep pretending the status quo is fixable?

I don't question (not yet anyway) your qualifications. But I do question your rational, opposing the neo-cons, yet in the past, being willing to die for them. You weren't in the unconstitutional standing army to defend America. You were in there to support the empire and its expansionism and other devious plans.
Example: The Viet Nam War accomplished none of its goals. It killed almost 60k Americans for nothing. They died in vain. The Viet Nam War did accomplish a revolution in this country by usurpers and tyrants.

India Indians:
I have worked under (3) Indians. All were at the same company, which is now out of business.
The first one was a "mechnical eng'r" (No thanks to U of North Carolina for accepting Indian degrees) who majored in duct tape. His real job was working at a local Subway.
The second was a jovial mutt who pulled rank on me and took my place on a company trip to Germany for technical training. As soon as he got his European vacation, he quit. A total waste of company money.
The third was a manager who was unqualified in the technical aspects of this position. He also hated whites and was very open about it. I asked him if he'd ever had his brown rearend kicked by the British when he was young. He tried to have me fired, but failed.
All three of these clowns attended Indian meetings to learn how to get USA gov't freebies by filling out the gov't forms. All were greedy as sin and had no problem ripping off whitey.

From Superstition to Savagery
Women Accused of Witchcraft Face Violence in Rural India
By Rama Lakshmi
Special to The Washington Post
Monday, August 8, 2005; A12
PALANI, India -- At sundown, Pusanidevi Manjhi recalled, nine village men stormed into her house shouting, "Witch, witch!" and dragged her out by her hair as her six small children watched helplessly.
"This woman is a witch!" the men announced to the villagers, said Manjhi, 36. She said they tied her ankles together and locked her in a dark room.
"They beat me with bamboo sticks and metal rods and tried to pull my nails out. 'You are a witch, admit it,' they screamed at me again and again," Manjhi said, tearfully recalling her four days of captivity in June.
"They accused me of casting an evil spell on their paddy crop that was destroyed in a fire. I begged them and told them I was not a witch," she said, showing wounds on her legs, thighs, hips and shoulders one recent morning in this village in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand.
After a police investigation, the men who attacked Manjhi were arrested. An official said that the attack was spurred by a powerful landowner who owned rice paddies in the village and used local superstition to mask his attempts to maintain control.
Threats and charges of witchcraft occur in a number of Indian states that have large tribal populations with traditional beliefs about witches. Indian newspapers periodically publish reports about women who, after being accused of being witches, have been beaten, had their heads shaved or had strings of shoes hung around their necks. Some have been killed.
In a tribal society steeped in superstition, the spells of witches often are blamed for stubborn illnesses, a stroke of bad luck, the drying up of wells, crop failure or the inability to give birth to a son. But social analysts and officials said that superstition and faith in witchcraft often are a ploy for carrying out violence against women.
"Superstition is only an excuse. Often a woman is branded a witch so that you can throw her out of the village and grab her land, or to settle scores, family rivalry, or because powerful men want to punish her for spurning their sexual advances. Sometimes it is used to punish women who question social norms," said Pooja Singhal Purwar, an official at the Jharkhand social welfare department.
"Women from well-to-do homes in the village are never branded witches," Purwar said. "It is always the socially and economically vulnerable women who are targeted and boycotted."
Purwar said she sees an average of five women a month being denounced as witches and tortured in rural Jharkhand. Her department has drawn up a public information project to oppose the practice, providing information at village fairs and conducting street performances and puppet shows. Police at the local level have been alerted to track the cases of women who are attacked, she said.
While Manjhi was imprisoned by her captors, her husband, a farmhand, sought help from the village elders, who called a meeting to determine if Manjhi was a witch and summoned a witch doctor for verification. But by then, word spread and the police arrived.
The nine men were charged under a Jharkhand state law that forbids accusing people of being witches. One of them was Gahan Lal, the man whose paddy had caught fire. Lal later confessed to torturing Manjhi.
"Gahan Lal was a powerful landlord. There were fights all the time in the village over land and wages," said Jayant Tirkey, the police officer investigating the case. "When his paddy caught fire, he blamed [Manjhi] for casting an evil spell. But that is merely an excuse. His real motive is to instill fear among the poor."
Tirkey said he thinks that village witch doctors are to blame for superstitious practices, but added that witch doctors are not arrested and tried because they are not directly involved in the violence.
"I never name a witch. I only give villagers some clues to find her," said Leena Oraon, who is known as a witch doctor in Aragate village and who says she studies rice grains to ascertain the presence of a witch in the village. "Today's doctors cannot cure ailments that are caused by a witch's curse. That is why people come to me."
In a case three years ago in Lalganj village, an elderly woman, Baili Kashyap, was branded a witch for supposedly causing sickness in the family of a relative. The relatives, who allegedly were engaged in a land dispute with her, tied her to a tree and slit her throat with a sickle while others in the village watched. Six men are in prison for the murder.
"My mother-in-law was not a witch. They were after our land. But the entire village just stood and watched the murder," said Kashyap's daughter-in-law, Reena, 28. "They believed she was a witch and deserved to die."
According to a study by the Free Legal Aid Committee, an advocacy group that works against witch-hunting, only 2 percent of people charged with witch-hunting are convicted in court.
"People go scot-free because witnesses are hard to come by. Villagers often approve of the torture meted out to these women," said Girija Shankar Jaiswal, a lawyer who heads the organization. "They think witch-hunting is a heroic act and that it will clean the society of evil."
Only two Indian states, Jharkhand and Bihar, have outlawed witch-hunting. Last year, one of India's northeastern states, Tripura, conducted a discussion in the legislative assembly about the need to ban the practice of witch-hunting. After a day-long debate, the assembly unanimously decided that killing of people for practicing witchcraft should be prevented.
However, members failed to reach a consensus on whether witchcraft was a science or superstition.

MST,
True enough. The point I am making is that the only reason the US is having to buy it from them is because the prodution based here can't keep up with demand. The US also is/was buying ammo made in Canada for the same reason. You have to read the whole thread to take it into context.

I got your point. I commented mainly for lurkers who might otherwise be smug about the fact that Israelis make such good ammo that the U.S. has to buy it when they run short (through short-sighted stupidity).

I don't know if it is because I have isolated myself from the rest of the world or because I found the peace that I have been searching for such a long time that I don't feel like you do about the people of this world (but for Zionists) therefore I wonder how it feels to hate everyone.
Rather than to hate them for what they are doing I would rather find out why are they doing what they are doing, is it because a culture difference? are all people from that paricular race the same?
You people are trying to kill the disease without trying to find out the reason for the disease and as long as you keep doing that the disease will return once again.
