Say amen to the Jewish Watch

Like most religions, Judaism has its time-honored traditions. If you need a little help remembering exactly what time those time-honored traditions should be honored, the Jewish Watch is here to help. The Jewish Watch Credit: JewishSoftware.com

The water-resistant gadget has the standard time-keeping features of today's digital watches, but it's set apart by a microchip, developed in Israel, that displays messages according to the Hebrew calendar and special Jewish occasions. The watch, can, for example, alert you when it's time to recite the shema (the universal Jewish affirmation of faith), or light candles to usher in the weekly Jewish Sabbath. It can also give you a heads up when you need to supplement standard prayers with holiday additions.

The watch, which goes for around $90, can be set to display the Hebrew or Gregorian date. It can be programmed to synch with any location in the world, but it comes with seven preprogrammed cities: Jerusalem, London, Tel-Aviv, Paris, New York, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles.

The fabled Luftmensch at work! Only this time, the suckers are fellow Jews.

That watch is one you can get free in a box of cereal and probably cost $0.19 to manufacture and ship, but it's going for $90?!? Hey, maybe the Knesset can request these watches for every Israeli on their next aid package from Uncle Sammy as a necessity?

Oh, can it be programmed to scream "anti-Semitism!!!" every hour on the hour? :tnguess:
