Wrong Indeed. But perhaps not entirely out of cultural context. In some places on the West Coast of the US, the incident might not have been reported to the authorities. But a line would have formed....

I lean towards the theory that AIDS came from bestiality in Africa. And spreads by way of permissive, immoral sex.

Can goats get AIDS?
Perhaps the old fellow was only 'cleansing' himself in the goat, instead of the prescribed virgin female (read 10-year-old girl).
Nothin' like a good plague to change social mores.
