An interesting letter posted on Little Geneva.

My friend Nelson Waller sent the following letter to "the buttery-tonsiled destroyer of whiteness, superstar radiovangelist Jack Hayford" of "The Church on the Way" in Van Nuys, CA:
Dear Sir:
I caught your radio program on Martin King Day at random while traveling U.S. Rt. 85. I must tell you it was one of the lowest moments in my lifeââ¬â¢s experience of listening to religious radio.
You made much over racial differences and our need, in your opinion, to consider these things as mere trifles. In this respect you were of one mind with almost all living preachersââ¬âfundamental, Calvinist, liturgical, or in between. But it so happens that at the same time your position was the exact opposite from most preachers and most people of all races who preceded this age so dominated by the liberal mass media. It pains me to be the one to point this out to you, but your sermon was entirely based on the modern Gospel of fashion and expedience. It had nothing to do with the true Gospel messageââ¬âindeed it was completely opposed to it.
You started out banging the drum for tolerance, a fine and Godly thing that had sane limitations to it until liberals get hold of it, and then you ever more shrilly gravitated toward a defense of racial intermarriage, properly termed miscegenation. Is it nothing to you that the Bible stresses that God created each species after its own kind, and manifestly intended it to stay that way? What gives you the right to contradict and even trash the feelings on this subject of all previous generations of Christian believers? You admit that most mixed marriages are fraught with trouble from the start because one or both families reject them. Thus you condemn thousands of our now-brainwashed young adults to a rocky road statistically bound to end in heartbreak for most of them. What you propose is against human nature, but that has never been known to hinder the liberal agenda, even when promulgated by supposed conservatives.
You have virtually the entire evangelical world backing you up in this belief and your bank account is in no danger from the receipt of letters from people like me. But I call heaven and earth to witness against you that you, James Dobson, Billy Graham, and all of your ilk are playing with the lives of others at your own peril.
Furthermore, I believe your preachments on this subject are the very heights of hypocrisy. That is because in your heart of hearts none of you people really "wants your daughter to marry one." (And you shouldnââ¬â¢t, but not because of "racism" or anything like that.) One of your number, Coach Bill McCartney, has seen this theology played out in his immediate family, and has reacted rather bizarrely to the point of founding a huge organization dedicated to enshrining the miscegenationist heresy at a truly cosmic level. Obviously his hope is that through Promise Keepers, all the world will at last bend a feckless knee in unison to the idol of interracialism.
You, Bill McCartney et al. think youââ¬â¢re "celebrating diversity." Youââ¬â¢re notââ¬âyouââ¬â¢re promoting policies which slowly but surely undo the natural order God created, including human diversity. You think you are "bringing mutual harmony and understanding to the human race." But no matter how many ostensibly happy mixed couples may write and thank you for blessing their folly (as you mentioned on the radio), what you do is a direct invitation to racial strife and chaos.
Most tragically, you are setting up hundreds or thousands of children for a needlessly handicapped emotional life. Studies show (again, for the benefit of those incapable of seeing the evidence already before their eyes) that the children of mixed marriages are rarely fully accepted by both sets of grandparents. And this is not because thereââ¬â¢s something wrong with them, itââ¬â¢s because itââ¬â¢s a rejection of the Godly moral standards that saw both family lines down to the present in their ethnic configuration. If you had anything in common with the real faith of our fathers, you would be warning young people of this peril, not encouraging them to flout it. Another way you condemn future generations is that some future young people, unaware that they are of mixed ancestry because of its remoteness in time, will produce children of another race than their own due to the basic and ineluctible laws of genetics. Other individuals, ostensibly white, will have no idea they have any negro genes but will come down with sickle-cell anemia or other such diseases due to unknown nonwhite ancestry. Thus as you build your own radio and pulpit empire in this age, you betray all generations to come in ways which are critically important but, strangely, are not allowed to be discussed in most public forums at present.
Getting back to "Martin Luther" Kingââ¬âreal name Michaelââ¬âI would think that since he besmirched the preacherââ¬â¢s calling and prostituted the Gospel as few have before or since, you would want to take the holiday set up in his "honor" and use it as an occasion to restore integrity to the pulpit instead of perpetuating Kingââ¬â¢s bastardization of religion. "Woe unto you that call evil good, and good evil," say the Scriptures, "that put darkness for light and light for darkness." Itââ¬â¢s a dark day indeed when our nationââ¬â¢s best-known preachers cover for evil and turn morality on its head as you do, however noble your intentions may be.
For Liberty (2 Cor. 3:17),
Nelson Waller

Good read. I like little Geneva, its one of my main bookmarks that I visit every few days. The writer mentions dobson - Im curious to know more about his promotion or dealings with race mixing, as Im not real familiar with Dobson other than his "focus on the family" campain Ive heard mentioned. I think hes a regular on Fox news. However I have heard the liberal types complain about Dobson as if he is the devil himself. Here is something I dug up on a quick search.
