Well...surprise, surprise.
The despicable troll Brandon (Raina) Orr is outed, paraded around pantsless and then banned off Niccolo's Phora in Exile this past weeknd...and now apparently even [I]this[/I] version of the Phora has "ceased to exist".
The list of suspects shortens considerably.

I am able to contact [I]nobody[/I], alas. Only Edana, and that's via LF. The only msg-board posters who I swap email with are mostly a few regulars over here, and AY and Wintermute.
As for Orr, I don't (yet) have a complete fix on his location. I'll need some help there, but the Phora crashing (again) complicates things.
Nordish seems to have become a completely different sort of board now, so I doubt anyone would relocate there. A few will head to VNNF, some others (perhaps) to MSF. I'm hoping the majority will convene on this thread.

Irish Republicans are maddeningly frustrating as interlocutors. They usually aren't violent or fanatical like the Balkan folks, but I find talking with them about union vs. republican issues is usually no more than a waste of time. The only thing to be gained from an exchange about such topics is a demonstration that they do not accept the popular sovereignty of Northern Ireland. Now, I'm not rabidly partisan on the issue, but most of the people in Northern Ireland support union, and the obsfucation and circumlocution Republicans employ to avoid this fundamentally pertinent fact will never cease to irritate me.

I had a feeling adding the old archives was going to be a bigger job than "a few hours" of down-time. For one thing, since the old Phora category-folders don't match the new ones, that probably means a lot of manual additions as opposed to hitting 'enter', or dropping-and-dragging, and transferring material in bulk.
But it's only been two days, anyway. I'm sure they'll be back up by Friday.

The sissification of men has resulted in a generation of cowardly and compromising weaklings who are by and large sitting complacently as they watch the deterioration of America continue right before their eyes. The once stable nuclear family has reached a patently disgusting low of degeneracy, the root evil of a huge array of malevolent problems that are crippling this nation. Will it take the near or total destruction of our civilization for its people to realize that no matter how many laws are passed and programs approved, human nature will always stay basically the same? When will we admit that women are indisputably best qualified for the role of the mother, and that men have the competitive aggressiveness needed for the tasks of breadwinning and leadership? Men are trying to look, act, and live like women, and vice versa, and it just isn't working. America doesn't need anymore complacency and laziness, broken homes or single mothers. America needs strong families, and such cannot exist without strong men and women to make them. Our society is as bankrupt in family values as its deficit is huge. Civilization suffers when politically supported androgyny and relativism become the norm. I took a glance at this new [I]new [/I] edition tonight, and it just seems like Liberty Forum Lite anyway. I.e., safely bypassed altogether.
And every time these boards go down the same thing happens: a percentage of the membership drifts away, never to return. Looked at it, not too pleased. I'd level the same criticism as Ragno, but it's good to hear there will be another phora and this is not it. That is, if it actually happens within my lifetime. The longer the wait, the fewer users that will return.

Just imagine, how much better do you think the phora would be if not for the constant flux, which deletes the archives, the members list, and the URL? I'll return when there's a proper phora, preferably with the old posts made available again. It's no accident that I do not post on LF.

I forgot to ask, is there a topic on this speakeasy in which Niccolo addresses that the archives are still missing, the new forum is more attractive to members of LF, and that he's basically taken the phora down without replacing it? Something about a real phora? I didn't see such a topic, but if there is one, please show it to me.
