I know this area and the surrounding area as well. The nearby town of Greenville has a rather large population of negros, but nearby Dallas of course is LOADED with africans. My jaw dropped when i read this and figured out where it was talking about. http://www.amren.com/mtnews/archives/2005/07/africaas_larges.php

Surely, their main audience would be in South Dallas.

Greenville's 50 miles from Dallas -- it's East Texas, and there are plenty of black folks in East Texas. I have to say I don't understand this:
So far, the Nigeria-based church has spent between $1 million and $3 million on about 500 acres of pasture....
I was pricing land in the next county over (Hopkins) last summer, and pasture land was going for about $700 per acre.

I was wondering the same thing - why so far out ? Might have to do with land prices, but for any group coming from one of the poorest african countries on that continent, they are spending a bunch of money. Isnt Nigeria the same country where many of the the so-called "email scammers" originate from ?

So a Niger-ian church can afford the millions to buy land and build in the US, but hordes of their own people are starving ? http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050731/wl_nm/niger_aid_dc

Most of the real estate and insurance scams in the Atlanta area have Nigerian and Somalian immigrants involved in them.
