Monomatapa on the Detroit River

When the fair-skinned missionaries came they were struck by the beauty of the ruins. The heathen natives, living in crude huts now, told them vaguely of a mighty kingdom where Hannibal and Cleopatra ruled. This was a city of bronze architects, of bronze philosophers and of bronze poets. The graffiti on the walls were hieroglyphs, and the railway station Malcolm’s palace.

I don't see that poem on the website. It sounds like Yankevich has been to Detroit though

I think that picture of that smiling little girl sitting on the lap of that monster Beria is the most horrifying depiction of totalitarianism I've ever seen.

Hi,

Of course, I am Leo Yankevich. This poem is brand new (two days old). I posted it here because you folks are the only ones who can understand it.

The closing poem (The Last Silesian) in the e-book appears in this month's Chronicles.

Yes, the photo says it all.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

If I remember correctly, that girl on Beria's lap is Stalin's daughter Svetlania, the one who defected to the US for a while.

Leo, I like your poem. There quite a few evidences of advanced civilization in North America, but the PC historians don't recognize them because they don't fit into their views of a primative utopia. Faust would like your poem especially because he posts a lot about ancient white civilizations.

I've been around for a few years, but don't post much. I do lurk and enjoy reading the commentary though. There are some excellent writers here, some with whom I've locked horns in the past, but only for the sport of it, not because I disagreed with them in any fundamental way.

Yes, the girl in the picture is Stalin's daughter. Beria was known to fancy young girls.

My poem, of course, is full of irony. As everyone knows here, blacks are taught that Hannibal and Cleopatra were of their race, and that blacks built the pyramids and had the first civilization, etc. Perhaps when our great grandchildren rediscover North America, after a nuclear war and years of separation, they will descend upon what was once Detroit and find, as the English did in 19th century Rhodesia, the ruins of an advanced civilization, which the natives will claim as their own.

Polish Noble, Nice to see you posting. Western Civilization needs poets and artists at least as much as it needs theorists and statesmen.

I like the poems Polish Noble. How are things in Poland nowadays anyway?

Are you experiencing the joys of multiculturalism, multiracialism and polytheism as we are further westward?

It's a bizarre irony that after the collapse of Communism it seems the programs for multiculturalism and miscegenation have accelerated to new speeds everywhere in the West over the past 15 years.

I think in one article they said Poland is rather blessedly free from a lot of the social pressures we face, if in some sense only from its relative economic undevelopment. There's no big infux of foreigners looking for jobs, asylum, or social benefits.

Yes, it does. I do what I can, and do it out in the open. Thank God for Chronciles, Iambs & Trochees, and the New Formalist (which I own).

Recently I discovered this "realist" artist who paints so well that I'm going to put together an e-book of his paintings followed by his poems:

Poland is headed in the same direction, alas. Her new Minister of Foreign Affairs is even one of G-d's darlings.

Things look bad on all fronts. I've fathered three boys, and have written some poems no one else would write. Now I'm ready to defend Helm's Deep.

I just hope Gandalf really comes.

Yes, Chronicles is very generous towards Poland (perhaps too generous at the expensive of Germany). I had three poems in their December 2004 issue as well.

Poland is still 99.9 white, but the young are totally brainwashed and pro-everything that is unhealthy and that will lead to their own genetic death.

There is a persistent nauseating media campaign for gay and women's rights. In short: it’s 1950 America here, approaching 1980 rapidly.

That's pretty bad news....but, you know, Poland has to make up for the "evil sins" of her past "anti-semitism". [/sarcasm]

I hope for us all that Gandalf and his army really comes.

I like another quote from LOTR II.

Theoden: I will not risk open war.

Aragorn: Open war is upon you whether you would risk it or not.

So it seems:

"Adam Daniel Rotfeld (born March 4, 1938), Ph.D. and professor, is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

...

In June 2002, was appointed Under-Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in June 2003 became the Secretary of State.

In a remarkable development for Poland, Adam Rotfeld is Jewish, coming from a large Jewish family near to Lvov in the east. That said he is not practising."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Rotfeld

Do you have any estimate on the current number of Jews in Poland? Is there any serious marrano phenomenon?

No, I cannot estimate. But they are certainly overrepresented in the highest positions.
Yes, Chronicles is very generous towards Poland (perhaps too generous at the expensive of Germany). I had three poems in their December 2004 issue as well. I'll have to look for it. Chronicles does write a lot about Germany and Poland issues. But sometimes reading them you practically get the impression that Poles are cultural supermen, which from most East Europeans I've talked to is definitely not the case.
Poland is still 99.9 white, but the young are totally brainwashed and pro-everything that is unhealthy and that will lead to their own genetic death.
Probably even weaker then a lot of European countries in that respect.

In the U.S., someone noted that pretty universally that the lower the non-white population, the more liberal the whites are racially, on civil rights, etc. I suspect the same thing works in Poland. In some of the other east european countries, and of course in most of western europe, they've had their own unpleasant experience with guest workers, which I think tends to balance educational hyperbole.

There is a persistent nauseating media campaign for gay and women's rights. In short: it’s 1950 America here, approaching 1980 rapidly.
Not good.

Probably the influence of all the modern liberal multicultural influences on the educated elite, including within the Catholic Church. Anyway its not good.
