The quote doesn't read like it was written by Washington---but---our first President probably came away from Newport with a nice campaign contribution.

There are George Washington quotes floating around that are very critical of Jews, too. There is no way of knowing which ones are for real (unless you rely on Jewish sources to determine for you what's real).

A politician/president, writes a thank you letter to some supporters, giving them some kind words. Given that initially, anyone not owning propety was disenfranchised . . . perhaps Pres Washington did not quite understand the nuances of institutionalized discrimination.
He was a good man, but not perfect.

When I was in the World "Church" of "the Creator", we used to disseminate those quotes, not realizing they were fake. Now I am embarrassed to have promoted such falsehoods.
Anyone who does a few simple web searches on those fraudulent anti-semitic quotes can see that they were fabricated. Washington and Franklin scholars (the vast majority non-Jewish), all say the same thing.

I'm almost positive that the quotes in question were dug up by 19th Century historian Benson Lossing.
The quotes may not be accurate word for word, but I would say they would be close enough for horse shoes or hand grenades.
Btw, Lossing was the A.A. Appleton Co.'s main historian.

At any rate, he was obviously referring to the actions of, what would have been, a very small number of people. If they even were Jewish, as you are assuming, it would have been a tiny percentage of the Jewish population. Even with those assumptions, you still can't condemn a whole group of people for the (unproved) actions of a small number. Washington himself probably would have realized that.
Also, the date of the quote was reputedly 1779. It doesn't make sense that he would have said that (supposedly meaning Jews), and then turn around and speak so graciously to the Jewish Congregation of Newport, RI in 1790. That would make Washington a two-faced hypocrite and phony. Since that's exactly what Hitler was, I can see why so many haters of the Jews are quick to assume that Washington was one as well, but I'm highly skeptical. I doubt George Washington was a deceitful phony.

Washington offered the Jews a deal here: you sever all other allegiences and in general act like good Americans, and in return you'll get to worship freely and enjoy the full rights of US citizenship.

The list of Jewish treason against the United States and the American way of life is too long and too well documented to warrant a mention here. Jews did not "demean themselves as good citizens;" they supported every destructive cause that their intellectuals sent down the pike. Read "Culture of Critique," "The Fatal Embrace," "By Way of Deception" and the "Venona Files" if you have any doubt remaining on that point.
Since the Jews didn't keep their end of the bargain, they've forfeited their right to claim in contract pursuant to Washington's offer.
It follows that they as a group have no right to claim American citizenship for themselves, and they must depart en masse to Israel.

The sticky point will be people carping on how to pay for the deportation.
Interesting idea, and doubtless would make for some rough months between the new arrivals and the Palestinians who would see a wave of Hebrews come crashing onto their small beaches . . . blood would flow.
