Cruise 'not welcome' in Paris From correspondents in Paris July 12, 2005 THE Paris city hall has pledged not to make US actor Tom Cruise an honorary citizen - because of his membership of the Church of Scientology.

In a debate late yesterday, the Socialist-controlled municipal assembly approved a resolution "never to welcome the actor Tom Cruise, spokesman for Scientology and self-declared militant for this organisation".

Last month on a promotional tour for his film War of the Worlds, the 43-year-old star chose the Eiffel Tower to propose to girlfriend Katie Holmes. He was also made an honorary citizen of the southern French city of Marseille.

Like many other European governments, the French authorities view Scientology - founded in the United States in 1954 by science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard - as a dangerous cult.

Cruise was described as a "sect-symbol" by a Socialist deputy.

They'll get their panties in a bunch and call Scientology a cult, But if you say anything anti-Muslim or anti-jew, you go to jail! Hypocrites.

Do even modest research into Scientology and you'll find out some of the crap behind its facade as a "religion." Hubbard was a cynical genius, not the new Messiah.

A resource to start from is Xenu.net, but there are plenty of others.

Cruise is a nice looking man who is an actor, and a twit.

Isn't there enough hypocrisy in your own country to talk about? You don't have to go overseas for it.

As for Cruise's coup de grace, who cares?

Ron Hubbard was a sick, evil man, as well as a satanist who collaborated extensively with fellow satanist Jack Parsons, an underling of the founder of modern satanism, Aleister Crowley.

Do a google on it and you'll see for youself.

Those Scientologists are more dangerous than many people realize.

Here's one good link about the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard Sr. and his links with Crowley and other satanists:

http://www.lermanet.com/scientologynews/crowley-hubbard-666.htm

An excerpt from an interview with L. Ron Hubbard, Jr... son of the founder of Scientology:
"I believed in Satanism. There was no other religion in the house! Scientology and black magic. What a lot of people don't realize is that Scientology is black magic that is just spread out over a long time period. To perform black magic generally takes a few hours or, at most, a few weeks. But in Scientology it's stretched out over a lifetime, and so you don't see it. Black magic is the inner core of Scientology -- and it is probably the only part of Scientology that really works. Also, you've got to realize that my father did not worship Satan. He thought he was Satan. He was one with Satan."

Hubbard was not making much money from his writing. Why? It sucked. He figured out the fastest way to make a buck would be via creating a "religion." Sure enough, he tried it, and it worked. Genius at assessing a market and exploiting it. He understood P T Barnum's adage perfectly.

"There is a sucker born every minute, and two to take him."

Beyond that, the guy was a bit nuts, and became paranoid. His organization is, in my opinion, a pernicious cult aimed at profit from shearing stupid sheep.

I have looked into Scientology. A fascinating way to make a buck. The fact that those folks are still successful means

!. There are many idiots 2. Their program still works as a sales pitch.
Actually, L. Ron Hubbard was a sick, evil man, as well as a satanist who collaborated extensively with fellow satanist Jack Parsons, an underling of the founder of modern satanism, Aleister Crowley.

His organization is, in my opinion, a pernicious cult aimed at profit from shearing stupid sheep.

Same is true for Falwell, Sun Myung Moon, Robert Tilton, etc. Only difference is where their cults are built upon bilking small amounts from large aggregate numbers of unsophisticated followers, Hubbard's is built on hooking fewer, but bigger, fish. Anybody familiar with the old sf pulps, with John Campbell and Horace Gold and Ray Palmer/FATE Magazine could tell you all about Elron and his 'religion', designed to seperate suckers from their scratch.

And, AE, thank you for pointing out a fact that, although minor, is so consistently overlooked it's maddening: L Ron Hubbard's science-fiction SUCKED. Unreadable pulp swill that makes BUCK ROGERS and CAPTAIN FUTURE seem like Kafka by comparison.
