Looks like a good site, Faust.

Do you have any recommendations for a good fixed-blade knife (manufacturer or particular model)? Thanks.

Angler,
Do you have any recommendations for a good fixed-blade knife
I have a number of cheap fixed-blade knives and bayonets. I have been thinking about a more expensive good quality knife. I am not sure about that I have been think about getting one of those "U.S.M.C. Fighting Knife."

The price seems a bit high. But I am still thinking about it.
Camillus® U.S.M.C. Marine Combat™ $43.99

brand: Camillus® CM5685
·Black phosphate coated high-carbon steel blade ·Stacked leather handle ·Black coated steel guard and end-cap ·12" overall ·Embossed U.S.M.C. leather sheath
If you want something cheap, you could try this. I have some of their cheap knives they are not great but they are not bad and the price is right.
Antique Style Bowie with Wood Handle $9.99

brand: Value 202924
·Stainless steel blade ·Wood handle ·Brass guard and rivets ·15" overall ·Leather belt sheath

I got a similar one of those from Smokey Mountain Knife Works maybe 8 years ago or so (pre-internet mail order catalog). I forget the price but it was less expensive since I didn't get the one with leather. Mine came with a nylon sheath.
