[B]Boy, 15, Dies in a Dispute Over an iPod[/B]

(July 3) - A 15-year-old Brooklyn boy was killed on Saturday night in what investigators believe was a dispute over an iPod, the police said.
Christopher Rose left his mother's home wearing a borrowed iPod to get on the subway in the Farragut neighborhood with three friends around 5:30 p.m., his family said.
He was approached by a group of teenagers at the corner of Avenue D and 40th Street, near his home, the police said. The youths demanded his iPod, which his family said he had borrowed from a friend, and when he resisted, one of the men stabbed him twice in the chest and attacked his friends. He was taken to Kings County Hospital center and declared dead at 5:50 p.m.
The group fled, taking a knapsack and the iPod, the police said.
No arrests have been made, and the iPod has not been recovered.
Last night, family members gathered at his mother's house.
"My cousin today got murdered over some stupid iPod," said Koreena Glanville, 21, crying.
Mr. Rose was the youngest of four children and the only son, family members said. His nickname was Rosie. He was described as quiet, polite, and good at math.
Since the fourth grade, Mr. Rose would spend the school year in Bushkill, Pa., with his father, Errol Rose, a construction worker who commuted to work in New York. He attended East Stroudsburg North High School.
"We sent him to school in Pennsylvania so he wouldn't get involved in this," said Mr. Rose.
Apple's pricey iPod music players have become a target for robberies around the world. In April, the New York City police reported that an increase in subway crime during the first part of the year was driven almost entirely by thefts of digital devices, especially iPods.

Rose and three friends were accosted by a group of young men Saturday evening in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, police said. Members of the group demanded Rose's iPod and stabbed him twice in the chest when he resisted. The group fled, taking Rose's iPod and a backpack, police said.
Police also have reported a wave of iPod robberies on city subways, saying in April that 50 iPods had been stolen this year, compared to none over the same period last year.
It's believed that most robbers kept the devices, which can retail for about $100 to $500, for personal use rather than selling them.

I understand that Ms. Lee's use of the "8" as her middle initial is a nod of respect to her Chinese heritage: the number "8" is good luck in China, you see. But I'm sure it's only non-white freestylin' that the Times would waive through so breezily, like a stern but ready-to-please parent who can be coaxed into abandoning the normal standards when there's a big sleepover and the girls want to stay up 'til midnight. Yay!

Oil and water don't mix. Whilst the Palestinians are a far nicer people than the elitist Jews. The problem with the Arabs is that they are a overly emotive and some what unreasonable people.
The Jews on the other hand are pity seeking, egotistical, materialistic and arrogant but they are not unreasonable people or especially hard to get along with. They are far to clever for that. What the Jew wants an easy life ideally living off the goys backs. As long as they are doing well out of live in general they won't rock the boat or go out of the way to make trouble for themselves.
It's worth noting that the Asians 'money worshipers' are very much on the rise. Europe's Asian Immigrants have completely taken over unskilled, highly skilled and high paid, hazardous work fields here. Interestingly they view the Jews as a competitive obstacle and are intent upon extending there influence seemingly at the expense of the Jews. One need only look at once Jewish and European dominated professions such as medicine to know that a pattern of skills displacement is occurring.

Considering that Brooklyn neighborhood where this incident took place, it's pretty safe to say that everyone involved there were blacks.
Also, I'd say that the iPod was a secondary issue. Two groups of inner-city teenagers coming face to face on a Brooklyn street typically results in fights and stabbings over nothing but trying to earn "street cred".
The reporters and editors know this about black youth activity, yet since an iPod was stolen during a street fight, this gives them cover to exclude unpleasant racial realities and blame the murder all on hip new electronic gagetry invented by "nerdy" White men in California.

Well, for sure, Jennifer "8" Lee has supplanted Benedict Nightingale for first place in the Silliest-Named Times Reporter Invitational.
And here I thought when the inevitable movement of naming people with numbers finally gets underway that the Fourth Estate might struggle against their restraints, if not protest the trend. It's just too bad porn star Marc "10 1/2" Stevens died of AIDS....there's an opening on the Arts and Leisure staff.
