The Anglican Church of Kenya has severed links with the Episcopal Church of America and demanded its expulsion from the global communion.
The announcement at the end of a three-day meeting in Nairobi was made amidst revelation that the head of the parent church in England, archbishop Rowan William would be visiting Kenya on July 20.
The church made the move over ECUSAââ¬â¢s endorsement of Dr Gene Robinson, a 59-year-old homosexual bishop who divorced his wife to live with a male partner.
[B]Besides foregoing unspecified financial aid, the Kenyan Church would also not send its clergy for training at churches that recognise lesbianism and homosexuality.[/B]
[B]"Unless they repent and recant same sex marriage, we have nothing to do with them," said archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi who chaired the meeting at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi. [/B]
Nzimbi said Kenyaââ¬â¢s stand was communicated at last weekââ¬â¢s meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council, which is the top decision-making organ of the Anglican Communion.
"We have severed links with ECUSA and other churches which believe in same sex unions," Nzimbi said at a news briefing attended by bishops Stephen Njuguna, Gideon Ireri and William Waqo.
Archbishop William, who will be visiting Kenya on his way to Burundi, has been asked to request the ââ¬Ëoffendingââ¬â¢ churches not to attend the 2008 Lambeth Conference, the largest gathering of Anglican bishops.
Waqo, who is the churchââ¬â¢s Provincial Secretary, could not give the exact funding to be rejected but said it would not affect the churchââ¬â¢s operation.
The church also rejected calls for legislation of abortion and supported the proposal to ban advertising of alcohol and cigarettes.
It also demanded implementation of the Ndungââ¬â¢u Commission on Land report to resolve the land crisis and challenged the President to act on reported corruption.
"There should be no sacred cows or protection of a clique of trusted cronies," said Njuguna.[/FONT]

I agree with you entirely about "religious" white liberals. I have far more in common with these Africans who have truly accepted Christ and are trying to do God's will than I ever will "religous" white liberals.

I wouldn't want to pollute and subvert the African Church, which is what sending our sorry white liberals down there would do. Generous amounts of tar and feathers should suffice in taking care of our own kind's problem element.

I strongly applaud the stand of the African Anglicans, and I wish that more white Christians had the same strong convictions. If Africa is ever to raise itself from barbarism without the aid of colonialism, then it will need men like these. I wish them well. That said, I am totally against any effort to bring them here. They are of a different nation, race, culture, and history. Bringing them here would destroy both cultures and create interminable conflict.

For aesthetic reasons, I'd have to go with the white liberals though.
Once, I saw this p*y whipped white hippie dude with his brassy, big-aed sistah girlfriend at Piedmont Park. Sad and pathetic. :lol:

Whilst occult practices, including child sacrifice are still reportedly carried out in Africa. Any African who practices "Orthodox Christianity". Is a "person of color" in my book. :clown:
Unfortunately many Africans are being bewitched by the heretical evangelical moment and it's mystical pseudo-Christian practices.

Two stabbed at gay pride march in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM, June 30 (Reuters) - An ultra-Orthodox Jewish protester stabbed two marchers in a gay pride parade through Jerusalem on Thursday as police pushed back demonstrators trying to stop the march, a police spokesman said.
Authorities in the city that is holy to Muslims, Christians and Jews had tried to ban the parade for fear it could provoke violence, but they were overruled by Israel's High Court.
Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said the man suspected of the stabbing had been arrested along with nine other protesters. The wounded marchers were treated by medics at the scene.
Thousands took part in the parade, dancing and waving through the centre of the city.
At the entrance to Jerusalem, protesters erected a banner that read "Welcome to Sodom".
Jerusalem's fourth Gay Pride March went ahead after Israel's high court overruled Mayor Uri Lupoliansky, who had sought to ban it for fear it could provoke disorder. Muslim, Christian and Jewish religious leaders had all protested against the march.

I applaud the Kenyan Anglicans and wish them well. I, however do not consider them as part of my nation and have no desire to live with them in a political entity. I hasten to add that I would not mind sharing heaven with them at all. The nation-state is a good thing because it solves some of the problems people have with race and culture.
As much as I like the Kenyans, their culture and way of life is much too radically different than mine. Living with them in the same political entity would be impossible. In the Kingdom of Heaven, such differences will not exist.
