Nothing really surprising about all the US mercenaries in Iraq.
Actually, "liberally biased" PBS does a nice job of glorifying the mercs. I'm sure their ranks are growing while the US military's are declining. I guess private armies pay better and have less rules.
I think the Romans used to do the same thing all those centuries ago.
