Is it just me, or are blacks prone to fires? Watching the local TV news (a rare event), it seems that every time there's a big four-alarmer, it's in an "economically depressed" part of some major American city. I think it even came up in the movie American History X (where the firefighter dad of the skinhead died fighting a black-started fire).
If so, chalk up another tax due under multiracialism.

HUGH??????? This time I am against you 100%......first of all, do you know how the fire got started?
Blacks have less money than whites therefore in winter time the have to do a lot of things in order to keep themselves warm by any means possible.
While the whites have their nice secure oil furnace and money to pay for their electric heaters the blacks have to make something with nothing and burn anything that they can find.
Your way of thinking is that they should let the black peoples homes burn to the ground but because the fire might extend to the whites homes then better to put them out.
Thats like saying that Ponce because of his only 10th grade education should shut the hell up and say nothing.......hahahahahaha funny.

And there we are --- an explanation. And one that's got a racial root (why do they have less money? all the reasons we know so well). But really, blacks didn't pack themselves into crappy public housing in big cities. White elites and Jews did. If they were left on their own, their fires would burn out in safety on the great continent of Africa instead of igniting old housing stock in Philly. And the white firefighters would live (or at least die saving their own people). As it stands, white firefighters (and by extension, taxpayers) suffer and pay for this, and it goes unappreciated by the brown ones, who never stop to think of brave white firefighters before stomping a Reginald Denny into a pulp.

Ponce would have us believe that Whitey is toasting his toes before the gas fireplace while Rastus is scrounging for coal or wood chips in the neighborhood to give his house some warmth and burns it down in the process. Actually, he is running up huge bills to the utility companies and allowing others to pick up his bills through various programs offered by agencies and government to the "poor." Recently, in Philadelphia fires have killed a number of children in the "hood" during a heat wave. Why? no one knows. Carlessness , likely. I have been in homes in the inner city where the heater was going full blast, while windows were open and the children running about unsupervised. Yes, Ponce should shut up, 10th grade Education or Oxford degree.

I've seen two sources: open flame space heaters, or pots of cooking grease left to burn after everybody's passed out from booze.

Solutrian? you are right because there are also "poor" whites, my one mule town where 76% are on welfare is a very good example.....and there are no blacks.
Me? my electric bill is of $31.00 dollars a months (went up $5.00 bucks because of my new jacuzzy), my water is free with my phone bill always beeing the same every months $27.61...... I use a Cos-co card for long distance at 3.7 cents per minute.
Is not what you have but "how" you manage what you have, last night I took a complete inventory of my yearly expenses and not counting gasoline and food it came to $4,350 and If I have to I can lower it down to $3,135.
As for gasoline and food? I still have 546 gallons to my credit at the corner service station at $1.69 per gallon, food? I have 2.5 years (or more) of food at hand.
My home is very well insulated and I keep the thermo at 59 degrees, something that I did was to make a solar box in order to heat up the house and in winter time when the sun is shinning it will keep the temperature the same.
So, is not an "Oxford" degree that I don't have or my 10th grade education that keeps me going but by being intelligent (if not smart).

What malady aren't blacks more prone to? Higher rates of arson and higher rates of negligence means more fires.

Well, since so many blacks claim that they are God and Whitey the devil, how are they suddenly unable to use their God magic to put out the fires,or, if there's any damage to other people's property or things, magically fix that damage as well?
And,how can blacks get cold,in any way,in the first place?Blacks come from a hot area of the world,weather-wise,so they're warm blooded, right? So,no matter how cold, they shouldn't be cold. So,if they do,well, again, they're God,remember?Just use the God powers ,and make yourself warm, without having to resort to things like that,or even putting on warm clothing, right?Makes no sense.
What?....What do you mean blacks aren't God?

The city burned for days, and National Guardsmen had to be called in to stop the insurrection. After this incident, it seems setting fires has become a popular way of expressing anger and frustration in Black ghettos throughout America.

Good observation. I hadn't thought of intentional fires, too. I was thinking of negro negligence in general.

"Space heaters" is a stretch in late June. The only fire I was ever in close proximity to was - surprise, surprise - in a black guy's apartment down the hall from me. Fell asleep with the hot-plate on, probably boozed-up.
The funny thing is that if you were, say, a reporter trying to tie together the higher preponderance of fires in black residences for some unifying thread, you would have to begin your investigation conceding two points. One, it's never a "preponderance", it's always an "epidemic" (since the first word suggests some cultural/behavorial tendency, but the second implies an act of God its victims bear no blame for); two, whatever the unifying thread might be, you had better spin it so it comes out 'racism'. Can you imagine the sudden paralysis a Times reporter's career would be stricken with were he to conclude that black people, because they own very little, value bling-bling over lasting worth, and have been conditioned to patiently await the inevitable white do-gooder who will spin whatever they've done to themselves into an indictment of white skin privilege, live in a bizarre disconnect from reality that tells them that if they burn their house down, it's Whitey's responsibility to get them another one? There would be more emergency meetings at the Gray Lady than during Blairgate; if that reporter was entertaining sugarplum dreams of book deals and expense accounts, he'd better think again.
Not coincidentally, the aforementioned Jayson Blair finally got around to cashing in that book deal of his. Title of the book? BURNING DOWN MY MASTER'S HOUSE. Must've been the space heaters.

Speaking of media-speak, that dumpster of a neighborhood in Camden, N.J., where 3 spic children supposedly shut themselves locked in a trunk of a car, was characterized as vibrant. Vibrant as in "corpse vibrant with maggots".

Ha!
Somehow I don't think Sharon Waxman, Judith Miller or Jennifer 8. Lee are susceptible of such paralysis.

When I walk into a room I turn the ligh on and when I walk out I turn it off. :smartass:
About $23.00 is for taxes and so on and only $8.00 for actual use.
