Liars Plot New Amnesty

Left-wing Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona teamed up with left-wing Democrat Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts to introduce yet another immigration overhaul bill that will let illegal aliens stay in the U.S. and become citizens. Of course, McCain and Kennedy continue to insist that their legislation is not just another amnesty for illegal aliens. That's because their version of immigration reform (which includes increasing legal immigration by nearly half a million per year) would require illegals to pay a $1,000 fee to obtain a green card. That's how America's political elites play immigration politics - they simply waive the real penalty for illegal immigration (which is deportation) and impose a light one. Then they look into the news cameras and deny with a straight face that their plan is an amnesty. In reality, it's just another way of lying.

Here we have a Senator from Massachusetts who apparently hasn't the vaguest notion of the problem illegal immigration has created in the Southwest, or more likely doesn't care. Kennedy doesn't seem to understand a basic idea that importing illegal unskilled workforce undermines the technical progress of our industry. The industry must change in order to accomodate the lack of skills of the new workforce. Furthermore, those jobs which require technical skills will be sent overseas if possible to the detriment of the American worker. Additionally, lower wages means fewer tax revenues of the State and Federal Government. The last I heard, we lose 15 billion dollars per year from illegals who send money back to Mexico. It's an advantage for Mexico, but it hurts us. However, McCain should know better, but probably is more concerned about his political future than the future of America. He seems to be a two faced man not to be trusted. Besides, I doubt he would get the nomination for President. He looks too old and haggard.

Everyone knows that Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy is one of the most radical liberals in Congress, but some conservatives were fooled by McCain over the years. Hopefully, this clears up any doubt that McCain is a liberal, and a weird one at that.

Politicians, such as McCain and Kennedy, view illegal immigration in racist terms. If you agree with it, you have your mind in the right place. However, if you disagree with illegal immigration, then you are reflexively earmarked as a racist. In fact, much of the media view illegals in the same terms.

Well, as a Spanish I then must be racist because I am against illegal immigration the same way that I am against anyone walking into my home and taking what they want.

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., the most outspoken member of Congress on the issue of illegal immigration, wants an investigation into why a study of aliens crossing the border was discontinued by the Bush administration after initial results indicated the president's proposed "temporary worker proposal" plan encourages illegals to enter the U.S.
