WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney slammed Democratic Party boss Howard Dean as "over the top" in a television interview to air on Monday, saying Dean had helped Republicans more than Democrats. "I think Howard Dean's over the top. I've never been able to understand his appeal. Maybe his mother loved him, but I've never met anybody who does," Cheney told Fox News Channel.

"So far, I think he's probably helped us more than he has them. That's not the kind of individual you want to have representing your political party," Cheney said.

Cheney's attack was the latest in a chorus of Republican complaints about the Democratic National Committee chairman, who recently said Republicans "never made an honest living in their lives" and were "pretty much a white, Christian party."

Some prominent Democrats have complained about Dean's comments but others have rallied to his defense. The former Vermont governor was known for his fiery rhetoric during his failed 2004 White House run.

Cheney admitted it "doesn't matter so much what I think, I'm a Republican," but said some Democrats he had talked to thought Dean was "doing more damage to the party than he is good."

I like Cheney.

I guess Dean is trying to galvanize his base of Jews, blacks, and feminazis.

Freeking incredible when you think about it. Here you have the head of a major party openly declaring his contempt for a large majority of potential voters.

And he did it because he really thinks it's the WAY TO WIN ELECTIONS.

Democracy. :dung:

None for me, thanks.
"over the top"
Dean probably deserves to be slammed by Cheney for his stupid comments, despite this being a case of the pot calling the kettle black. I recall Cheney telling Tim Russert that Iraq had a nuclear weapon just before the War for Israel and Oil. I hope they keep it up. It only brings the day closer when both of these corrupt and worthless institutions go into the trash where they belong.

Have you ever tried to help a dog that's in pain? the animal will bite anything near him....... the poleticians today know that they are in deep doodoo and are now doing the same thing.

Pretty soon you will see heads roll as they blame each other, will we see Bush keep the power by force? I say YES but time will tell.....hope that I am wrong (again).

Assumption: you are correct, the Dems and Reps come tumbling down under the weight of their own bullshit. What wanders into the power vacuum?
There will be a mad scramble, perhaps, and a multi polar bunfight.

Or is there a shadow government just waiting to slip in? I am not so sure I'd want to see that group in power, do you?

Let's hope for a bit of chaos. Will what arises from the ashes be any better? Hope so. There are some worse alternatives.

Dean admits the Democrats are the party for non-Whites and Bush is running around speaking Spanish, befriending President Fox and courting the Mestizo population with gifts of amnesty and laxed border patrols. Is it any wonder that most Americans simply don't vote? This reminds me of the movie Field of Dreams: "build it and they will come." We need a nationalist party in America.

As Brian Hassett alluded to up above, IMO, at least Howard Dean is much more honest about his politics than Dick(head) Cheney.

What Cheney and his henchmen have done while in office is an absolute abomination and shouldn't really be criticizing anyone. Cheney and his masters cater to the same crowd as Dean while portraying themselves as the so-called leaders of the White American Christians while sending them all to die in an illegal, immoral and useless war in Iraq. It's pathetic.
How about a white Christian nationalist party? :whstl:
While I'm not Christian myself, I would still endorse a White Christian party. I am a member of the CofCC which basically falls along lose lines. Simply speaking, we are not going to gain control of our country, until we once again control our own religious institutions. People listen quietly to politics, but they'd walk across hot coals for God.

I agree with Ygg that we're ripe for a major reaction.

All it will take is a big financial dislocation, which we might just get soon, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Then we may just live to see the neokhans subjected to - ahem! - rough justice.

What a great day that will be.

May it come soon.

Hasn't anybody noticed what happens to White Nationalist parties in amerika? Even tepid Pat Buchanan got the full Nazi/Racist treatment from the controlled governmedia.

The rules are: You don't get to play in the game called "amerikan democracy" if you actually want anything different from what the 100% kosher-approved Republicrats offer.
