TODAY’S (not yesterday's) FREEMASONRY BETRAYS CHRISTIANITY --Because of its link to the Jews.

This should not diminish what it once transmitted.

A passage from an article on this site below focuses the contradiction between Jewish and Christian Freemasonry.

http://www.freemason.org/cfo/julyaugust2000/freemasonry_in_isreal.htm “Jerusalem, the city of King David, who, in the 10th century B.C., unified the Holy Land under his rule and established Jerusalem as his capital. His son King Solomon built a Temple to the God of Israel, which became the archetypical Temple in Western thought and a central subject in Masonic tradition. King Solomon's Temple already appears in the Old Charges of Operative Masons used by medieval lodges and many legendary and ritual features of various Masonic degrees are related to its construction and architecture. JERUSALEM IS FOCAL POINT For both Christians and Jews, Jerusalem is the focal point of the world, the place where heaven and earth touch each other (Heavenly and Earthly Jerusalem). In the Middle Ages, some maps show Jerusalem as the center of the world, with Europe, Asia, and Africa radiating from it like the petals of a flower. Jerusalem is mentioned in the Old Testament no less than 656 times, in addition to other appellations such as "The Holy City", "The City of Truth", "The City of God", "The City of Peace", "The City of David", etc. In 586 B.C., King Solomon's Temple was razed by Nebuchadnezzar. A second Temple was erected by Jews returning from the Babylonian exile in the 5th century B.C., and was rebuilt and greatly enlarged by King Herod. “ */ In contradiction to this is Galations 4.22f.
“4.22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondswoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondswoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise. 24 which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar—25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children – 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all … 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.”
**/ This is unequivocal. For Christians, children of the promise under the second covenant, Jerusalem of the Old Testament, below, is a symbol, not what is symbolized, above. The message communicated by its Temple, through the old covenant – “God is with us” – is communicated by a new token – Jesus the Christ – revealing a New Jerusalem: Revelation 21.9 “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with seven plagues came to me and talked with me saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lambs wife. 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” What is thus symbolic is not relegated to subjective experience, however, as Jesus’ last words show: v. 16. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
This reference to churches, clearly situating the author well beyond Paul’s ministry, is a continuation of Chapter 1. John is addressing his book “to the seven churches which are in Asia”, to communicate what he experienced: “ That, then, is what the author is doing, relating to “seven churches” words received directing him to address these “seven churches”: words from the heavenly groom to his bride. The content of these to Smyrna applies to the present story: “And to the angel of the Church of Smyrna write: These things says ther First and the Last, who was dead and came to life: I know your works, tribulations, and poverty (but you say you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” Applied to corrupted Freemasonry, this would read “I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Christians, and are not.” Apply to this his complaint against Ephasus – “you have left your first love” -- and the condemnation stands: commingling with Jews, by those who are supposed to be symbolically above them, is turning away from Christ’s God as the Jews turned away from theirs.

Conclusion: BY JOINING WITH JEWS TO MAKE JERUSALEM THE FOCAL POINT, THESE FREEMASONS HAVE BETRAYED THEIR SONS OF THE PROMISE, USING CHRIST’S GOSPEL TO WIN FAVOR WITH THE SONS OF THE FLESH.
