"If anyone runs from us, we don’t chase them,” said one California-based border patrol agent who requested anonymity. “We could have information that there is a nuke in the back of a van but we don’t have authority to chase them,” the agent said. “We’ve had radiation pagers go off and we’re still not allowed [by our supervisors] to give chase,” he said. “They are scared to death something will go wrong and there will be a huge liability.”

Last week while driving down Hi 5 to go to my card club and as was going past this 18 wheeler my Nuke Alert went off, I always keep it on my key chain.

I went about about 100 feet past the truck and it stopped making a noise I then fell back to look at the license plate and the funny part was that the truck and rig was almost new but the license plate was and old one, I went past the truck once again and again my Nuke Alert went off.

After I reached the casino I called 911 and they passed me on to the HP and I gave them the info., this was the first time in the nine months of ownership that my Nuke Alert was set off and I am still wondering the outcome of all this.
