Apartheid and the US-Mexican Border

Historically, the radical left has been a leading force against apartheid regimes, leading the campaign to divest from South Africa and now leading the fight to end the apartheid regime in Israel which has seen Israel viciously repress the Arab majority, denying the Palestinians of their most basic rights, slaughtering civilians with impunity, and now constructing a massive barrier to separate Israelis from Palestinians. The radical left in the United States has been slower to protest the apartheid barrier in its own backyard, stretching from sea to shining sea, dividing the first world from the third world, just as Israel’s separation barrier does. The apartheid barrier I am referring to is, of course, the US-Mexican border.

[ Apartheid is segregation within one state. Borders separate states. For one to believe borders are apartheid, one has to believe that nations shouldn't exist. That's anti-diversity. ]

"Borders = Apartheid"? Actually, I would take this line of thinking very, very seriously. I think it represents the main argument that the Open Borders crowd increasingly will use against white citizens of the US and Europe.

Look how well the black South Africans have done in the formerly Dutch-founded nation of South Africa. As compared to whites.

Look how well black Africans are doing overall. As compared to even South America.

Granted, some of the landscape in Africa is pretty friggin' rough (no rougher than much of Arizona and even much of Mexico, though). God knows why anyone would want to dwell in Sahara-climate (reminds me of a Sam Kinison monologue [a "mock dialogue"--between "sensitive man" and Mr. Kinison, during the "Live Aid"-era]; [paraphrasing]: "Most people say, 'Isn't it too bad, what's happening to the people of Ethiopa...it's just terrible. Those poor people...'. Huh? I say: NOT ONE MORE DIME. NO MORE MONEY!!! 'Oh, well, you're being cruel...that's just great...typical Western man..." SEND THEM U-HAULs!!! THEY'RE LIVING IN A F*CKING DESERT, GODDAMNIT!!! WHAT DO THEY EXPECT!!??"

But even those living in very lush Gabon and Zimbabwe and Congo are not, it seems, capable of getting a handle on the basic tenets of self-sufficiency. The tribal warfare, the superstitions, the patent ignorance of how to elevate themselves to a post-Stone Age existence... There's just something wrong with 'em.
