Oh sure, i know, we must save the world from itself. Besides that, has anyone laid out the financial gain as a result of US forces staying Korea for so long, or even going there in the first place ?

Right now, not much. Saddens me to say, but I travel light and my bags are outta here in 0.02, should things get hairy.

The last two Presidents of the ROK have been/are hard-Leftists. I've written of this extensively (do a Google, I don't have time). & if the ROK wants to get swallowed up by China/North Korea, go for it. I won't be here, and I've got no stake in the matter, aside from my six years here.

Do you really think that's possible?

I mean, wouldn't the average Korean NOT want to see their country get taken over by the Orwellian nightmare that is the PRK?

I can't imagine that the ROK with its high standard of living and free wheeling politics would ever want that.

But then again, I know basically nothing about it, so I'd like to hear your opinion.
