Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Atheist, Agnostic, whatever label these traitors hide behind, they all deserve to be permanently exiled to some turd world dump, then perhaps they may appreciate the need to maintain a white first world nation!

Catholic Bishops Launch Immigration Reform Campaign

WASHINGTON (May 10, 2005)—Saying the nation’s immigration system is “broken and badly needs repair,” U.S. Catholic bishops and leaders of a diverse group of Catholic organizations today announced the official launch of Justice for Immigrants: A Journey of Hope. The Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform.

Comprehensive immigration reform—including a broad legalization program—is the goal of the national campaign. Catholic organizations which have come together to launch the campaign intend to mobilize a growing network of Catholic institutions and individuals in support of its goals. The campaign also marks a new effort to educate and galvanize Catholics on the need for “justice for immigrants.”

Speaking at a news conference held at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, as a consultant to the USCCB Migration Committee, said the goals of this multi-year campaign are four-fold:

To educate Catholics and others of good will about the benefits of immigration and the benefits to the nation;

To strengthen public opinion about the positive contributions of immigrants;

To advocate for just immigration laws which promote legal status and legal pathways for migrant workers and their families;

To organize Catholic legal service networks to assist immigrants to access the benefits of reforms.

One of the goals of the campaign is to try to change laws “so that immigrants can support their families in dignity, families can remain united, and the human rights of all are respected,” Cardinal McCarrick stated.

“However, before we can change our laws we must also change attitudes, including those of many of our own flock,” the Cardinal said.

Cardinal McCarrick said the U.S. Bishops have grown increasingly concerned with the current public discourse surrounding immigrants, in which newcomers are characterized as a threat to the nation and not a benefit. “Anti-immigrant fervor on TV and radio shows, citizens attempting to enforce immigration laws, and, most disturbingly, the enactment of restrictive immigration laws are evidence of this negative public environment,” the Cardinal said.

“We are here today to add the voice of the Church to the public discourse and to remind Catholics, as well as all Americans, that we are, and should remain, a nation of immigrants,” Cardinal McCarrick stated.

“We acknowledge that the current negative environment towards immigrants is due, in part, to the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, which have had a profound impact on our nation,” the Cardinal said. “Let us not give into the temptation to scapegoat all immigrants who come to our land—and who contribute their God-given talent to our communities—because of the actions of a few. It is my belief, and that of my brother bishops, that our nation can meet the challenge of ensuring national security without closing America’s door to the oppressed and downtrodden,” Cardinal McCarrick said.

The Cardinal said the Catholic Church has a deep stake in immigration reform because, like the nation itself, it is ethnically, socially and culturally diverse. “Regardless of race, heritage, or national origin, we are one family under God,” he said.

Another participant at the news conference, Bishop James A. Tamayo of the Diocese of Laredo said his area on the U.S.-Mexico border provides daily witness to the consequences of a broken immigration system.

“Our experience on the border is far from the vision of the Kingdom of God that Jesus proclaimed: many who seek to migrate are suffering, and, in some cases, tragically dying; communities are divided; and racist and xenophobic attitudes remain,” he said.

“From my perspective on the border,” Bishop Tamayo continued, “I welcome the Justice for Immigrants campaign because Catholics are involved in all aspects of the migration phenomenon…But often members of our faith work at cross purposes or against each other, leading to division and rancor in local communities and in our parishes. With education and through prayer, we hope, through the Campaign, to bring Catholics of differing perspectives together to find a human solution to our immigration crisis.”

“We are also launching the Justice for Immigrants campaign because the U.S. Bishops are united in the view that the status quo is unacceptable and that comprehensive immigration reform is needed,” Bishop Tamayo said. “We can no longer accept a situation in which some public officials and members of our communities scapegoat immigrants at the same time our nation benefits from their labor. We can no longer tolerate the death of human beings in the desert.”

Some 20 Catholic organizations with national networks have come together to form Justice for Immigrants: A Journey of Hope. The Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform. Member organizations include United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB): Migration and Refugee Services, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Domestic Social Development, International Justice and Peace, Hispanic Affairs, Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC); Catholic Health Association (CHA); Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA); Catholic Relief Services (CRS); National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors of Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM); National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW); National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA); U.S. Jesuit Conference; Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR); Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM); National Association of State Catholic Conference Directors (NASCCD); Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network; Roundtable Association of Diocesan Social Action Directors; The Irish Apostolate, USA.

Border Wars

Report; Posted on: 2005-05-14 08:04:39

There are ways to fight back

by Francis Playfair

In November last year, as the rest of the nation was electing the candidate that they considered the lesser of two evils, in the presidential elections, the good folk of Arizona were casting their votes over proposition 200.

There are planned legal objections to the proposition, but if the people of Arizona can get this past a federal judge then this will be a small step in the right direction. However, the question is why do they need proposition 200?

What is happening along the border, that is making the people of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California feel like a people under siege?

To understand this people have to realize that for the last decade or so there has not been a trickle of immigrants coming over the border, it has been a flood. In Arizona alone the illegal alien population is now estimated, by the government, to be about 500,000, or 10% of the population, however this does not include so-called legal aliens and the locals claim the figures for illegals is much higher than the government suggests.

Based on the low government estimation the annual cost of providing public benefits to illegal aliens living in Arizona now exceeds $1 billion, or $700 a year per household and, according to a time study, in a single day, more than 4,000 illegal aliens will walk across the busiest unlawful gateway into the U.S., the border between Arizona and Mexico. And many will obtain phony identification papers, including bogus Social Security numbers, to conceal their true identities and mask their unlawful presence, thus sky rocketing the already obscene costs of immigration to the people of the state.

While the vast majority are Mexicans, a small but sharply growing number come from other countries, including those with large populations hostile to the U.S. From Oct. 1 of last year until Aug. 25, the border patrol estimates, it apprehended along the southwest border 55,890 people who fall into the category described officially as other than Mexicans, or OTMS, many of these have turned out to be Muslims who could present a considerable danger to the people of America.

However it is not just the threat of terrorism that effects the people living on the front line. A 1996 study published in Clinical Therapeutics raised serious concerns about the trafficking of controlled substances along the U.S.- Mexico border. The number and types of pills that the Shepherd study found at a typical border crossing backup DEA's view that these drugs are being used for illegal purposes.

The Shepherd study estimated that in just one year at the Laredo border crossing, over 60,000 drug products were brought in to the U.S. by more than 24,000 people. All of the top 15 drug products, which represent 94.1 percent of the total quantity of declared drugs, were controlled substances. These dangerous drugs, classified as prescription tranquilizers, stimulants, and narcotic analgesics, are potentially addictive and subject to abuse.

Rohypnol, commonly referred to as the "date-rape drug," was brought in by 43 percent of those who declared their prescription medication. Over a full year, that means that over 1.5 million doses of Rohypnol where brought in at a single border crossing. Further, the median age for those who declared Valium and Rohypnol was 24 and 26 years old respectively.

Rohypnol continues to be a problem among treatment admissions in Texas along the Mexican border.

There is also the threat of other crimes, violent crimes and robberies, the highest larceny rate in the country and a high auto- theft rate pushed Tucson to the top spot in a survey of crime in the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas in 2002.

According to the survey, Tucson had 7,543 serious crimes per 100,000 residents in 2002. The larceny and auto-theft rates accounted for 5,853.6 of that total. The violent crime rate in Tucson is 631.7 per 100,000.

Statistics show that a disproportionate amount of these crimes are committed by the illegal aliens in the area.

Every day new "Colonia" go up, a "Colonia" is a Spanish term for neighborhood or community. In Texas, colonia refers to a residential area along the Texas-Mexico border that may lack basic water and sewer systems, electricity, paved roads, and safe and sanitary housing. Colonias can be found in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, but Texas has both the largest number of colonias and the largest colonia population. Approximately 400,000 Texans live in colonias. There are more than 1,400 Texas colonias, located primarily along the state's 1,248 mile border with Mexico.

These are usually little more than immigrant shanty towns, places where illegals congregate and "hide-out" as they pass across the border, their existence encourages and assists illegal immigration.

Every day more and more crimes are committed and the border situation has gone beyond the point of polite conversation. It has become a disease, one that is attracting some of the more perverted members of society, in fact according to John Miller, director of the U.S. Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, An estimated 16,000 to 20,000 women and children are sent across the U.S. border each year for sexual slavery or forced labor.

Every part of every day life is being contaminated, and whilst the more sensational stories, of the now frequent rapes and murders, might make some of the headlines, the real problem is that these are not isolated incidents and that all these little things are building up to one big thing and that big thing is the loss of the culture, heritage and history of the region and the creation of a country within a country where the good folk of the border states no longer have a place, where they become a minority, victims of crime, prejudice and abuse.

New Mexico, California and Texas are already considered by many to be a minority- majority, in other words the White man is no longer the majority population, Arizona is expected to join this minority-majority group soon.

Soon none of us will be able to get that drink we like, or that spread we like, we won't be able to listen to that radio show we have been listening to for years, we'll go to our normal barbers to get our hair cut and we'll find he's gone, and this will carry on until our whole life has been whittled away.

Everything we ever loved, everything we ever held dear, everything we ever believed in, just gone, wiped out and we'll find ourselves living in a foreign land, with foreign rules and foreign people and we will no longer be the kind host, we will be the down trodden minority, subject to crime and perversions, the type of which we are seeing more and more everyday in these infected places, and you know what?

They are not half as kind, helpful and charitable as we have been to them.

Soon all those little things will add up to one big thing and that one big thing is a nightmare.

It's time to open your eyes before it's to late.

This is why, In November, as the rest of the nation was electing the candidate that they considered the lesser of two evils, in the presidential elections, the good folk of Arizona were casting their votes over proposition 200.

The people in the border states are in a war zone, they are a people under siege just looking for any opportunity to fight back and to survive.

The Prod heretic churches are equally guilty. Sam Francis had an excellent piece last year on liberal churches & immigration. He called the Prod churches the "Open Borders Lobby at Prayer." Classic!

By Sam Francis

Big Business and its bottomless appetite for cheap labor are by no means the only pillars of the Open Borders Lobby that has helped flood the country with Third World immigrants.

There are also the churches, themselves ever hungry for new members as their own religious liberalism drives away their old members. This week the Washington Post carried a story on how Protestant churches in the Washington area are using immigration to keep their collection plates full. George's Take On a New Dialect, Washington Post, May 8, 2004]

The Protestant churches are the Open Borders Lobby at prayer—though a good many churches seem to spend more time preaching politics than praying.

The Post story explains how white American worshippers have simply taken a powder—"The Presbyterian Church (USA), with a membership of about 2.5 million, says it has been losing about 30,000 members a year," while "A national survey conducted every 10 years by the Glenmary Research Center in Nashville shows that membership of mainline Protestant denominations is dwindling."

They're not dwindling because so many Americans have suddenly become atheists. The Post readily acknowledges the decline of mainline church membership is largely due to the conservatism of those leaving and the liberalism of the church establishments:

"While older members are dying off, younger parishioners have been drawn to more conservative evangelical churches or have quit attending altogether."

So what are thoroughly modern church leaders going to do?

It doesn't seem to occur to them to alter their own liberalism. What they have actually done is recruit immigrants—a tactic that not only helps swell attendance and membership but also is compatible with the ideological catacomb in which they have entombed themselves.

"To stem the losses," the Post reports, "Protestant churches, including the Presbyterians, have launched outreach campaigns directed at immigrants. National Presbyterian leaders want to increase minority membership to 10 percent by 2005 and 20 percent by 2020. The Presbyterian Church is now about 93 percent white, 3 percent black, 2.6 percent Asian and 1.2 percent Hispanic."

The Post recounts the sad story of one local church, Hyattsville Presbyterian in suburban Maryland, that has flourished for more than 300 years—until next month, when, due to the defection of the whites who have been its mainstay, it will turn its building and the whole caboodle over to the Umoja International Community Church, "a large, thriving African Presbyterian congregation that conducts its main weekly service in Swahili."

Nevertheless, in the long run, immigration won't help the churches, let alone the country.

It may save the churches as organizations and thereby put more meat on the platters of those who run them, but it won't bring the white Christians back.

It's all very well to talk about how God doesn't care about the color of your skin or what language you speak, but the human beings who worship Him do care—and have good reason to.

Race and culture affect no human institution more deeply than how people practice their religion.

Language, music, ritual and even theology vary widely according to race and culture.

But like many other truths about the human (and super-human) condition, that lesson seems to be lost on the liberal leadership of the churches, who are eager not only to support immigration as a national policy but also want to make their own churches as multicultural as possible.

Several weeks ago, the Post ran another story reporting how "faith leaders are prodding churches to better reflect and appeal to the country's changing demographics—and they are doing it from the top, placing minority pastors in white congregations."[Minority Pastors Preach Diversity, April 4, 2004]

(Notice they don't seem to be putting white ministers into non-white congregations, probably because the non-whites would walk out that day.)

Whites who are comfortable worshipping in Swahili may like the new multicultural church into which their shepherds are herding them just fine, but my bet is that most won't.

Yet whether they do or not, how the churches are using immigration is of interest.

The churches use immigration in the same way that other failed institutions in American society are.

Labor unions have lost gobs of members in the last 30 years or so, and today they're booming the virtues of mass immigration so they can restore their muscle.

Republicans and Democrats both compete for immigrants' votes as American voters yawn and stay home.

One main reason that national elites not only tolerate but actually promote mass immigration is that they have totally failed to retain the loyalties of their own people.

Immigrants help them stay leaders because they provide new followers.

Americans who are not followers saw through the fakery of the liberal churches long ago.

I'll also bet they will see through their newest gamble to use immigration to keep themselves and their crumbling institutions intact.

In addition to lobbying in the nation's capital for the enactment of new amnesty laws, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, archbishop of Washington, DC, thinks President Bush's amnesty proposal "doesn't go far enough." The bishops will issue parish priests outlines for pro-invasion sermons, as well as pressuring Catholic lay groups to oppose barriers to the Third World invasion.
