There has been a rash of deadly freeway shootings in southern <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />California. According to television reports survivors have described the shooters as “Hispanic,” or having “shaved heads,” or driving “lowrider” vehicles. The media and police are downplaying the race angle and claim the shootings “are not connected.” Most, if not all of the shootings have followed the media blitz about The Minuteman Project and the Indian gang, MS-13. Could the shootings and threats made by MS-13 be connected?

The bullet was fired from an adjacent car in the carpool lane, and officers have no suspects or a clear idea of what happened. A cop is writing a ticket for a motorist "You were shooting a 45 in a 22 zone" --- ### xmetalhead *2005-05-04 12:46* | (/od/user/80) I guess that billboard ad was spot on....it is now Los Angeles, Mexico! --- ### CWRWinger *2005-05-04 14:45* | (/od/user/1380) So this doesn't qualify as "terrorism" in the secret HSA manual?

To them, it's who's doing the shooting, not the act itself.

Illegal aliens are a protected species. --- ### Glen *2005-05-04 22:50* | (/od/user/1279) In at least two shootings the assailants have been described as "Hispanic." According to the New York Times this year' victims have been Hispanic, **Negro** and Filipino. If true, then there is no connection to The Minuteman Project. -------------- http://orangecounty.cox.net/cci/newslocal/local?_mode=view&view=LocalNewsArticleView&articleId=623008 **32-Year-Old Motorist Shot On OC Freeway** 04-25-2005 7:35 AM (Tustin, CA) -- A **32-year-old Orange County man** is the latest victim in a recent rash of freeway shootings in Southern California. Catherine Plows, said on Monday that **a victim of a shooting early Sunday in the San Fernando Valley described his assailants as a group of four or five young Hispanic men with shaved heads.** The description led detectives from the police department's gang unit to look into the possibility that the shooting was part of an initiation ritual.
