GOOGLE has plans that will dramatically improve the results of internet news searches, by ranking them according to quality rather than simply by their date and relevance to search terms... The database will be built by continually monitoring the number of stories from all news sources, along with average story length, number with bylines, and number of the bureaux cited, along with how long they have been in business. Google's database will also keep track of the number of staff a news source employs, the volume of internet traffic to its website and the number of countries accessing the site. The number of staff a news source employs? How is this an improvement of the current ranking system? If CNN produces a lot of stories of interest, CNN's results will already float to the top of the rankings. If CNN has the article most relevant to your search, the CNN article will float to the top of the rankings. Does anyone have trouble finding the mainstream media's articles on a topic?

This is designed to further marginalize the alternative news sources on the Internet. Recently, the automated Google news service picked up the pro-white site National Vanguard. After complaints, Google quickly blocked National Vanguard from the news. But, lest such a thing happen again where a Politically Incorrect news source makes a prominent hit merely because it is the most relevant, Google is very consciously putting mainstream sources ahead of relevant sources.

Happy Hacker,

I agree. Well I only do plain google searches, which these plans will effect. So I am ok for now.

I can help Google make things even easier. Just link to the DNC and RNC websites for "news." That should make everyone happy. [sarcasm]

Ah heck, they should just add a Kosher mark to their links, I.E. A capital K, the U in a circle, or the Parve mark. This would be a lot less confusing.

All jokes aside, is there a better search engine than Google?

Nothing, but nothing, comes close to Google in quality of search results or utility straight from the search bar.

As far as Political Correctness go, Google is better than most of the competition, such as those search engines that don't even show jewwatch. Google has done nothing to suppress the jewwatch rank.

But, being King of the Internet, Google is under lots of pressure to be more kosher.
