Analysis

What Losing Bolton Means

-immediate consequences:  handling of Bush’s push for UN action in re N. Korea.

-Perspective. Using American vulnerability to nuclear attack, made-up (as in the case of Iraq) or not, as a political football, won’t play as well without a mad dog in the UN. Without his hard-core edge, whoever fills the seat might have to listen to Kofi Anan lecturing on How Cruelty Often Follows Over-reaching, etc...

But, conversely, no representative from any country could sit in dignity in his presence, after knowing the United States Secretary of State misrepresented the facts to them about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction. If they aren’t bullied, they’ll have to pipe up.

I’m for a clean break, now.

It isn’t enough merely to get John Bolton withdrawn only to replace him with another monster. .

The nomination itself was an insult that must be addressed.

What he is publicly accused of are actionable wrongdoings (deliberately misrepresenting intelligence and silencing truth tellers). They have resulted in, among other things, inflicting unparalled suffering by the US military on a population of a people who did not threaten us, on the basis of reasons people like Bolton contrived. If Bolton is arrested for acting on these reasons, all guilty of similar malfeasance to promote war must be arrested also. .

Further, the content, or specific matters, with which Bolton and his allies are chiefly concerned must be stated: Israeli-centric US policy in the middle East. As if democracy in America existed in order to make the world safe for Zionist Jews. Without that particular proposition ever being voted on, or even brought up by cowardly news agencies.

In spiritual terms, it is time to nail them all – neocons, dispochrists, members of the coalition of the willing – to a wooden cross, after scourging them with a metal-tipped cat-o-nine-tails whip ad inf.. First, force them to admit that is what they deserve. (Many are already eager to do so.)
