It would be about time for other American Blacks as well to wake up and smell the coffee - Mexicans will totally overrun them in low-education jobs (and in gang wars) if this trend continues.

Maxine Waters To Illegals: Get Outta Here! Heather Mac Donald, Immigration Blog, Apr. 20
There may be hope for stemming the illegal alien epidemic when one of the most left-wing members of Congress declares her outrage at illegal gangbangers. Rep. Maxine Waters, who represents South Los Angeles, erupted in a tirade against Hispanic and black gang members last week, at a hearing before the House Judiciary Committeeââ¬â¢s Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims.
I testified at the hearing, called to discuss the alien gang problem, along with Michael Garcia, assistant secretary of ICE, and Marsha Garst, Commonwealthââ¬â¢s Attorney for Rockingham County, Virginia. I spoke about the scourge of municipal sanctuary laws, which prevent the police from using immigration violations to get illegal felons off the street. Michael Garcia blandly recounted ICEââ¬â¢s recent initiative against MS-13 gang members, Operation Community Shield; only in the question period did he admit to disagreement with sanctuary laws. Garst described the takeover of Virginiaââ¬â¢s Shenandoah Valley by MS-13 and the Surenos 13 (75% of whose members are illegal aliens). The gangs have set up a robust meth trade, accompanied by murder, assaults, shootings, and abductions. Recruitment begins in the second grade. Garst displayed a photo of local elementary school children on a field trip to the White House, many of whom are flashing gang signs. Enter Maxine Waters. Waters has poisoned racial politics in Los Angeles for years; she essentially declared the Los Angeles riots a strike against racial injustice. Never saw a cop she doesnââ¬â¢t think is a racist. Yet here she was at the hearing declaring herself absolutely fed up with the race war between Hispanics and blacks that is raging on the streets of downtown L.A. ââ¬ÅWhy isnââ¬â¢t anyone talking about the Mexican Mafia (a gang of illegal Mexicans that controls the California prison system)?ââ¬Â she thundered. ââ¬ËI donââ¬â¢t care if youââ¬â¢re pink or purple or white or black or brown, I want you out if youââ¬â¢re committing crimes.ââ¬â¢ There is no excuse not to control the border, she said. ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢m a liberal with a capital ââ¬ËLââ¬â¢,ââ¬â¢ she said, ââ¬Ëbut Iââ¬â¢m sick of it.ââ¬â¢
Watersââ¬â¢ timing was impeccable. A day after she spoke, 100 black and Hispanic students at Jefferson High School in South L.A. attacked each other in a race- and gang-driven brawl; three days later, the same thing happened, this time, students also hurled bottles at the police. Principal Norm Morrow told the Los Angeles Times:ââ¬ÂWe just have a lot of issues with race,ââ¬Â said Morrow. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s coming out of the community, into the school.ââ¬Â Cops in riot gear now patrol the school.
Maybe itââ¬â¢s time to revive the bipartisan, interracial coalition that Barbara Jordan forged in the 1990s. Since then, the violence that accompanies illegal immigration has only become clearer. Memo to Tom Tancredo: Time to take a trip across the aisle.

we are likely to see serious trouble break out between blacks and hipanics before any black vs white conflict in the coming years.
It would be about time for other American Blacks as well to wake up and smell the coffee ....
They're already awake. It's just that they have the same problem as whites in this regard: a corrupt elite. Blacks are more individualistic and more inclined to anti-social behavior than whites, which means that their elites are even easier to buy than are the white elites. But ordinary blacks do not want Mexicans in this country.

Uh-oh. I detect another example of white conservatives seeking the Negro Seal of Approval to alleviate their feelings of guilt for supporting immigration reform.
Honestly, who cares what black Maxine Waters thinks about the immigration invasion?! Just because some kaffir extremist supports border security does not mean that suddenly the issue gains legitimacy. Whites have been talking about the problem of illegal (and legal) immigration for years--and have largely been ignored. That is, when they're not being denounced as "nazis" or "racists," etc.
Why should illegal immigration be seen as a serious problem just because some left-wing negro politician has her panties in a twist over it?

We could say the same thing about the Middle East. Why should Israeli imperialism be seen as a serious problem just because a bunch of left-wing Arab muslims get their panties (or whatever they wear over there) in a twist over it, when western people had been complaining about it a lot longer?
But we don't do that. As Churchill said, politics is the art of the possible.
Practically I doubt that Waters and other left-wing blacks will have too much of an effect on the neocons directly, since they aren't too gung-ho on Iraqi wars. But she could definitely have an effect on the Democrats, and if the Democrats start moderating their position on immigration, it makes the position of the gung-ho GOP open-border types a lot more exposed as to their real motives.

By speaking out against illegal immigration and, by implication, multiculturalism, she is committing an act of heresy. That's the story here.
As for the Neocons, I suspect they will dismiss Waters as a "racist" and use her example to highlight the "racism" among black elites. They will use her comments to show mainstream conservatives and FReepers that immigration reformers are a bunch of extremists. Viewed from this angle, Waters's comments are clearly harmful.
But for white conservatives to start taking the illegal immigration issue seriously just because a negro politician is upset about it...Well, there's no excuse for it. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Mainstream white conservatives do this kind of thing all the time. They'll take an issue like immigration or racial quotas, weakly state their objection to it, and then in order to defend themselves from the inevitable accusations of "racism" they will trot out some token non-white who happens to agree with them: "See?! I can't possibly be a racist because my good friend Tyrone/Juan/Chang/Muhammed here agrees with me."
Immigration reform had credibility long before Maxine Waters had anything to say about it, and it's here to stay long after she backtracks and apologizes for her intemperate remarks.

Yeah, it's impossible because, well, because people don't speak up, and vice versa.

Maybe mad Maxi will want to help her fellow travelers by co-sponsoring their latest "anti-immigration" legislation:
