When I try to access the Phora I get the following message. Ive changed broadband providers and have been offline for awhile. What does it mean, or has the Phora crashed again?

The website you are viewing is unable to display PHP pages.

Netfirms STARTER hosting does not support PHP. If you are the owner of the site, and would like to use PHP, we encourage you to upgrade to one of our PREMIUM hosting plans (starting at only $5/month). You can upgrade by logging into your Member Tools located at http://www.netfirms.com/members

I just tried to get on there as well (for the first time in ages); I got the same message.

I'm not a computer whiz, but here's my understanding. PHP is basically just a computer language, and web pages that end in ".php" have been written using that language (or were constructed using software based on PHP).

OD also uses PHP-based software -- part of the URL being displayed in my browser as I type this is "newreply.php" -- so the problem can't be on your end. It must be that The Phora is down. I didn't know that people who wanted to set up and maintain web pages using PHP had to pay extra to their hosting service, but apparently that's the case, at least with Netfirms. Fade could be running behind on his payments, or maybe he's just decided to let The Phora die. It could also just be an error on his host's server.

The message means that Fade had another round of technical difficulties. Or flaked out again as some tend to believe.

Angler, MR,

Thanks. It was confusing because I just changed over from dsl to cable. So the Phora is down. Okay.
