"Nazis" everything to everyone.
The "Nazis" tend to be whatever people happen to dislike about the world currently.
Alternativly, the NSDAP have been accused of being:
Marxists Conservatives Liberals Socialists Christians Pagans Satanists Atheists Communists Pro-Chasty Pro-Fornication Homosexuals Homosexual Haters Abortionists Anti-Abortionists Evolutionists Creationist Lysenkoist
I have seen them called all these things. The "Nazi" is the literal antithesis of the sacred cow, a attempt to backwards associate guilt with a vague and sweeping classification.

Great observation, Faust.
The term "Nazi" is so abused and overused it's not funny. Of course, even pointing that situation out makes me automatically "suspect" in many eyes. LOL!
The supposed moderns are just as superstitious and bound by fear as people supposedly were in the past. Instead of Beezlebub, watch out, here comes Hitler. Goodbye witches and heretics, hello racists, anti-Semites and neo-Nazis.
It is the ultimate counterexample, as you point out. Nothing shuts down an idea faster than this sentence: "The Nazis believed in that."
Of course, the Nazis surely believed the sky was blue and that breathing air is a good practice for people to engage in. Does this mean we have to deny the truth of blue skies, or hold our breath?
Speaking of which, I'm not holding my breath waiting for the vast majority of people to regain a sense of perspective and emotional balance when someone trots out that tired old term "Nazi." It's the ultimate distraction in political debate that still works every time.

I have reached the point where I enjoy dealing with these idiots that throw around the term "Nazi." From what I have seen of them, they wouldnt know a Nazi if Hitler himself were to come up behind them and plant one of his jackboots up each one of their backsides. Its fun to ask them to define National Socialism. It is equally fun when they start to run off at the mouth about Mein Kampf and the "Big Lie." I enjoy showing them the actual quote and explaining to them who it pertains to and what it means. It can be amusing to point out that not everything the Nazis believed in was necessarily bad and watch them have a fit, particularly when one defends his/her view because one has the facts on hand and knows how to argue the point.
When someone starts screaming about Nazis, you know that you are dealing with one of two types of people:
(1) an idiot,
(2) a Jew.

If the Israel Firsters at Free Zionist Republik call you a Nazi it is a badge of honor, it means you are scoring points.

Don't forget Hitler loved children and dogs.
This is why I always recommend abortion or, at least, child abuse, lest any of us be tempted by the spectre of Nazism. Also, we should all trade our pups for kittens. Dogs are evil, and they probably believe in the theory of evolution, to boot.

Oh pleeze. If you're a jew and the kosher butcher raises the price of pastrami a penny a pound, he's a Nazi. If the bus driver misses your stop, he's a Nazi. If the blonde shiksa at Blockbuster charges you a late fee for having Sophies Choice out an extra day when you KNOW you had it in by noon, she's a Nazi. It doesn't mean you're honorable, it means you're in some hebrew's way.

An excellent point. Anyone who thinks human nature is improved is being foolish. And in as much as they think they have the power to change it, vain.

Nazi = National Socialism
It's not right or left; it's third front.
Julius Evola, Savitri Devi, Friedrich Nietzsche, Arthur Schopenhauer and Martin Heidegger provide insights into this belief system.

Only German Shepherds, wasn't it? And THEY were Nazi dogs anyway. So you CAN keep your poodles and chihuahuas -- they are SAFE dogs, only GERMAN SHEPHERDS are likely to be digging up a gas oven in your back yard.

The ones that uses the word NAZI as an isult are the same that uses the word anti-semite as an insult......... the Jews.
