Chunky black glasses of Williamsburg, Brooklyn meets American Renaissance? Stars and Bars over Soho? Alex Linder spotted at Balthazar? OK, maybe not that last one, but check this out:

McInnes is definitely not PC; last year, the New York Times wrote an article about him and Vice, taking pains to draw readers' attention to his association with shady characters such as...Pat Buchanan.

A good article and McInnes understand our situation better than 99% of his countrymen. Personally, though, I can't stand Vice. The fashion Dos and Don'ts are funny, but I hold Vice responsible for promoting the whole 'blue-collar, slob' chic which, although it may be so passe now in NYC, still hasn't run its course down here in Raleigh, N.C. It's great to know that if I want to go out and drink Pabst while wearing a trucker hat and Von Dutch tracksuit, I 'll be considered hip-but only if I'm doing it ironically.

Yes, I wrote about this for NVonline, the whole "white trash chic" thing and how we should reject it (search for the article on "WhiteBoy" by me). As for McInnes' involvement, I can't quite say, so I'm just putting this one out there. In the Times interview, he flat-out said something like, "whites should be proud of themselves." It could easily be a sop, carefully calculated to be inflammatory enough to bring in more bucks but keep yiddies unworried. Or it could be sincere, and coming from a guy who is pretty much the un-Sam Francis, not entirely unuseful for us.

I know nothing about McInnes but his description of Canada, which I have no reason to doubt, is bizarre. What an awful place! An entire land mass of pussified men and social democratic women. The place is no more a coherent nation than a publicly traded corporation.
[Gavin Miles McInnes] ... Bob Kimberley, the president of the Communications Students association, told my brother he feared Taylor would sound too eloquent. Even if students asked questions, he argued, they wouldn’t sound as smart as Taylor and that would create an "unfair balance of power." ...
Yeah... hilarious isn't it? This is the article that Kevin O'Keeffe posted over at the Phora. I tried to post a response with the Ottawa Express but they kept coming-up with new requirements.

The politically correct crowd are really becoming laughable. Not only do they obstruct freedom of speech at the Universities... but now they won't even allow public discussion about their obstructions!

I was just thinking about this. Turning our nations into nothing more than a "publicly traded corporation" is exactly what this globalist agenda is all about. Forget about culture and heritage... lets all just be one big happy economic-political entity.

How in the world do they think they can hold something like that together?

ARE THEY OUT OF THERE MINDS?

Actually, pro-white hipsters are quite common. Take me, for instance -- I'm hip to the groove Daddy-O and hep to the jive. Now please excuse me while I go light a reefer and carefully press the reat pleat and the Victory cuffs in my Zoot suit, all the while declaiming from 'On The Road'. Totally deck, Itz.
This is the article that Kevin O'Keeffe posted over at the Phora.

The article in question (which was actually posted by someone else, though I was active in that thread) was a defense of Jared Taylor, as well as free speech in Canada generally. That counts for something.

I got mine posted after 48 hours (it was supposed to take 24). Several Phorans committed to posting as well, but it seems the Ottawa Express decided to tighten their censorship regime after my reply (which was the first - and last - which constituted an unequivocal defense of Jared Taylor specifically, and White Nationalism generally; only room for one of those, apparently).

Mr. McInnes in AmCon:

http://www.amconmag.com/08_11_03/feature.html

The quote in question:

True, Vice magazine’s editors probably think of skinheads as being passé, but Vice editor Gavin McInnes’ ironic racism and in-your-face nationalism echo the sentiments of young white supremacists everywhere: “I love being white and I think it’s something to be very proud of,” he told the Times. “I don’t want our culture diluted. We need to close the borders now and let everyone assimilate to a Western, white, English-speaking way of life.”
Groovy. Cut yourself a slice of rug!
Boy, are you corny! You come on like a square at the fair, you cornhusker, you. Get hip. Get hep. Go here: ttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/product-description/1400032016/ref=dp_proddesc_0/002-0244752-2962468?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=283155

The phrase 'cutting the rug' hasn't been in common usage in over 50 years. True, it did feature prominently in some prolonged redneck screech ("I was askeered enah fearin fo my life, shakin like a leaf on a tree...), but today's swinging hepcats eschew such unhip idioms. The discerning hipster would bust a Dobie, I mean, a Moby*, particularly after throwing back a few Bronsons.

Kevin, under the new OD zero tolerance antiantihipster statutes, excessive cornhusking will result in immediate exile to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where your eyelids will be permanently propped open with toothpicks as you are forced to watch a continuous loop of Moby videos. Consider this your first (and last) warning.

John Graz, OD Kultural Kommisar

** Unhipsters refer to busting a Moby as 'spazing out'.
