IS IT NOT REMARKABLE ? That these anti-war protests received no ââ¬â as in ââ¬Å0ââ¬Â ââ¬â publicity, in the NY Times, CNN, or anywhere else noticeable. Is this denial, or what?
[I]The following (1) shows a major public opinion news story almost totally ignored by the media of mass communication; and (2) Shows (in psychohistorical terms) the incompatibility of the cut-off, reality-debased mentality the mass media reaches, with any anti-war message -- while claiming to be the voice of democracy. This is from Action Center email list:
***March 19 - A global day of protest
March 19, 2005- Today, tens of thousands of people converged on New York City to oppose an illegal war of aggression against the people of Iraq. People drove from as far away as Florida and Minnesota to demand an immediate end to the occupation.
The day began with a rally in Harlem's Marcus Garvey Park. Speakers included Brenda Stokely, President of DC 1707, Nellie Bailey of the Harlem Tenant's Council, and Carl Webb, a member of the Army National Guard who has refused to deploy to Iraq.
After the opening rally, more than 15,000 marched to join thousands already gathered in Central Park. As they marched through Harlem, they were greeted by cheers and applause from the community. People came out of stores and apartments to join the march. Others hung out of their windows and flashed the peace sign or raised their fists.
Speakers at the Central Park Rally included Representative Charles Rangel, New York City Council Members Margarita Lopez and Charles Barron, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, and attorney Lynne Stewart.
After the Central Park Rally, thousands marched to the Upper East Side mansion of billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg with the slogan, "Fund Cities, Not War!"
The turnout for this demonstration confirms that the antiwar movement has entered into a new phase of organizing against the war. It confirms that the greatest attention must be paid to reaching out to communities most impacted by the war and by the policies of the Bush Administration. These communities are the targets of the budget cuts. They are also targeted by military recruiters, who exploit economic hardship with false promises of opportunity. As a result, the children of these communities are dying disproportionately in Iraq, paying the ultimate price for a policy of greed and empire.
Organizers with the Troops Out Now Coalition plan to continue to protest the war and occupation. On May 1, the Troops Out Now Coalition will join the Million Worker March on the streets of New York City in a rally and march to demand, ââ¬ÅJobs, Not War! Bring the Troops Home Now!ââ¬Â
In addition to the Troops Out Now Demonstration in New York City, there were demonstrations in more than 700 cities throughout the U.S., including major regional demonstrations in Fayetteville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago.
This weekend saw protests all over the globe. There were demonstrations in Argentina, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Australia, Vietnam, South Korea, Pakistan, Iceland, Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, and many other countries.
Tens of thousands of people marched through central London on Saturday, calling on Prime Minister Tony Blair to get British troops out of Iraq. Protesters marched from Hyde Park Corner past the US embassy to a rally in central Londonââ¬â¢s Trafalgar Square.
The protesters placed a black cardboard coffin with the slogan ââ¬Å100,000 deadââ¬Â scrawled across the daffodil-strewn lid against a tree outside the US embassy. As the coffin was laid down, the crowd chanted: ââ¬ÅGeorge Bush ... Uncle Sam. Iraq will be your Vietnam.ââ¬Â
In Sweden, protesters filled up Sergel square in downtown Stockholm, chanting: "USA, out of Iraq!"
In Istanbul, an estimated 15,000 people marched, some carrying signs reading "Murderer Bush, get out."
In Poland, which has 1,700 troops in Iraq, more than 1,000 marched to the US Embassy in Warsaw, holding banners reading "Pull out from Iraq now" and "Poles back to Poland."
In Athens, about 3,000 trade unionists, members of peace groups, and students brought the city center to a standstill for about three hours as they marched to the US Embassy.
2. The psychohistorical explanation of the blackout of war protests is: GROUP WAR TRANCE.. People who are obliged to speak, write about, narratize or otherwise mentally address the terrible crisis America faces over Iraq cannot do so without veering off into an altered state of ââ¬Åwe are at warââ¬Â consciousness, picked up on and elaborated further by each in his own way. All the props and reminders are cued in by the media along the way:
-Ashley Smith taming Atlantaââ¬â¢s brief Black Avenger with the power of quiet faith. -Tom Delay blowing the trumpet for the U.S. Congress to save one precious life, Terri Schiavoââ¬â¢s (who didnââ¬â¢t ask; in fact, asked not), battling the demons from hell who would corrupt our humanity by cruel life-taking. -The judge sentencing Scott Petersen to death for the ââ¬Ådouble murderââ¬Â of his wife Laci, ââ¬Åand unborn son Connorââ¬Â. ââ¬Â¦
These are symptoms of the war trance, documents of these times, DOTTââ¬â¢s.. They sustain it by supplying anecdotal (token) confirmation, the fantasy-themes driving the war: to gain deliverance from the terrible condition of internal (regressed to helpless fetal) rage; flashback to birth canal ââ¬Ëtortureââ¬â¢ -- in short, to gain re-birth -- by sacrificing the blood of our youth, as the ââ¬ÅGodââ¬Â of the war-tranced people demands as punishment for rampant sinfulness: such as that brought by the abortion and homosexuality (anal intercourse). At the core of the trance, closest to consciousness, are overpowering feelings of perpetual ââ¬Åshock and aweââ¬Â, deriving from severely weakened ego-defenses accompanying regression to pre-birth, fetal siblings relating to ââ¬ÅGodââ¬Â through the ââ¬Åleaderââ¬Â. Different ones, according to their perceived sinfulness, is ââ¬Åsacrificedââ¬Â to cleanse the group of the poison it represents in the bloodstream. The fantasy that pure Aryan blood of German was poisoned by Jews as the ââ¬Åcontaminantââ¬Â was, after all, the driving force of the ââ¬ÅHolocaustââ¬Â part of WWII. Now it is this group, the Jews, as represented in international politics by predominant influence among ââ¬Åneoconservativesââ¬Â, strongly joined by a right-wing political Catholic influence, who has/have masterminded, carried out, and saturated Americaââ¬â¢s flag with the blood of Iraqis forever.
-The city of Atlanta is: (symbolically, in the trance menetality) a California man mauled and emasculated by out-of-control chimpanzees ââ¬Â¦ saved from pure beastiality by ââ¬Ågood evangelicalââ¬Â religious thinking. DOTT
Terri Schiavo is ââ¬Åusââ¬Â on life support. The state silencing the voices of those claiming THE RIGHT TO DIE. Assuming the role of God With The Machines, reversing whatever mercy a God of nature might have by letting her go. These people love her about as much as they care about The Iraqi People. Or Elian Gonzales. What they in fact love is the wantonly depraved ââ¬Ådumpingââ¬Â of the picture of her hopelessly vacant head onto the TV screens, and into the living rooms and minds, over and over and over, as they did that of John Walker Lynd, the capture of Saddam Hussein, and others. There will have to be a reckoning with this mentality before there can be peace with justice, for, more than any other single metaphysical factor, it has been responsible for corrupting the American mind.
Scott Petersen is the fantasy-killer of ââ¬Åusââ¬Â, identified with both wife and unborn child. We are under the power and control of a murderous Placental Monster, guized as smiling, good-looking, debonair, sexy normal human being. (secularist, probably). The group-desire to see him punished is a displacement of the hatred of Bush -- split-off by the ââ¬ÅNo! No!ââ¬â¢ reaction-formation at the thought of killing the Father-leader, but finding ââ¬Åjustified outletââ¬Â in the duplex figure. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not Bush sacrificing children and millions of unborn in Iraq! ââ¬â Its Scott Petersen killing Laci and his unborn son Connor!ââ¬Â The text (ââ¬Ådeath sentenceââ¬Â) that would be predicable of neocon war criminals, if allowed to find its proper application today, is permitted to be viewed ââ¬Â¦. in a single complex ââ¬Åtokenââ¬Â.
To this partial list of current DOTTââ¬â¢s illustrating the birth trauma situation in group fantasy could be added the furor of steroid use by athletes. For many moons, now, American male youth has been bombarded by signals from the unconscious to ââ¬ÅBULK UP!ââ¬Â Size matters. The era of the NYPD/ NYFD hero was at hand after 9/11. The roosters who could swing the bat, or wield the hocky stick, with more vicious heft ruled the roost. Thatââ¬â¢s the way it is. How could it be otherwise? Yet, it cannot be. ââ¬ârecognized as public policy, that is. Horrors, no! Thus, what is brought back to public consciousness by plugging in the issue now is the relation of the hero-athlete, as vital symbolic blood of youth (ââ¬Årole modelââ¬Â) to the system that has led them on to do exactly as they have done. For unconscious fantasy, ââ¬Åyouth ââ¬â drugged ââ¬â ââ¬Å is a token of the poison blood fantasy; we have brought it on ourselves, but canââ¬â¢t stand to have it reveled in the open, lest we be punished. What will happen? Prediction: as in the other cases, a sacrificial victim will be split-off, and punishment displaced from those who deserve it onto a ââ¬Åscapegoatââ¬Â, as it will be called. ââ¬ÅSplit/dump/killââ¬Â: that is the mechanism the System uses to cleanse itself, and protect those manipulating it.
It is about: AN OVER-RIDING BIO-NEUROLOGICAL IMPERATIVE to DISCHARGE A QUANTITY OF PSYCHIC 'KILLER' ENERGY, TO RELEIVE PRESSURE, BREATH EASIER, EMPTY, ââ¬Â¦WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY FIGHTING A TRANSMILLENIAL COSMIC BATTLE OF GOOD VRS. EVIL ON THE FACE OF EARTH, TO ââ¬ËSAVE MANKINDââ¬â¢ ââ¬Â¦transl. subtext: war as re-birth sacrifice has become the national psychosis. It's striving is to be perpetually re-born, WORSHIPPING THE SYMBOLS OF SACRIFICE for rebirth; conquering, impregnating the world by anal male rape (reversing the terror of that as return of Fatherââ¬â¢s cursed abuse) to repopulate the world with a bastard species of robotoids.
I'd settle for 50 who didn't have their head up their ass.
Exactly. These particular "anti-war" protesters are obviously nothing more then your typical assorted extreme left-wing commie scum and trash of society. I am sure that the powers that be are just terrified of people such as this. LOL
I am glad they didn't show these morons on TV. They, to the stupid lemmings, would become the face of ALL people who oppose these middle eastern adventures.
