I just saw the film Bride & Prejudice (my lady was the one who wanted to see it, I swear!), another take, this time Indian, on the Austen novel. It wasn't half bad, though the spontaneous singing & dancing sequences were pretty annoying. The main Indian actresses, obviously Aryan, were amazingly beautiful. I discerned in the film a kind of romantic, old-fashioned message. Has anyone else seen it who wants to compare notes?
