Scrippie, why do you think that the political entity known today as "Israel" has anything to do with Biblical Israelites?
Even many Jewish Hasidic sects consider Zionism to be a form of blasphemous secular false messianism.
Why don't you give us your "credo" on Zionism so that we'll know exactly where you stand on this issue?
(No blatherings about festivals or strawman whining about Christmas and Easter eggs, please.)
Just a short and concise description of what you believe about the status of an motley ethnic group called today as "Jews" and the state of Israel.

What does that verse have to do with whether Christians should stand with the state of Israel? Two verses later, Paul says "they are enemies". Why should we stand with our enemies? Where has the Bible ever set an example of godly people standing with the wicked? When they get saved, then I'll stand with them.

Until some odd sects in the middle of the 19 Century began to preach otherwise, the church (Roman, Orthodox, Reformed and Lutheran) always considered itself 'Israel" and "Zion." This is indeed the correct position as Christians are indeed "sons of Abraham" while the practitioners of Judaism (the religion of the pharaissees) worship some other god, but not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The fact that some of these folks may have blood of Abraham in their veins means nothing.

One more time, the right name is ABRAM and not ABRAHAM .......Abraham is a name given to him by the Jews in order to take a copyright on his name and make it sound more Jewish.

You are incorrect. Yeshua gave him that name. Genesis 17

I am talking about the fact that God has not abandoned his people, Jew or gentile alike.
I am telling you the exact truth right out of Scripture regarding Yeshua's Commands to you.
Do you know who Judiaizers are? Paul and Matthew tells us exactly who they are, they are, see: Acts 15, Matt 15 and Matt 23.
Basically, these chapters explain that Judiaizers are those who tell us traditions and customs or the oral Torah is "law" and which annuls the "written" Torah of Moses.
We see the same thing going on Today as it was in Yeshua's day. This is why we are confused with Paul's writing.
And when we think that God's commands do not belong to us, and we do not keep his Feasts and Festivals, the leaving behind has already begun!
As far as Jews in Israel, already there are many belieiving in the Messiah, some beleive in Messiah Yeshua Ben Joseph (He who has appeared) and some still believe only in Messiah Ben David (He who is yet to come)
And I tell you again and again, that the gentiles (the goyim) were chosen to make Judah jealous so they would believe in Yeshua. Does hatred make them jealous?
Does presenting Yeshua and his followers an annulling the Law of Moses, a bunch of pagan festival keeping, pork eating, idolators. Do you get it?
In other words, Paul never never never said to break the written law of Moses nor did Yeshua (who is God and is the Lawgiver after all!) but the passages seem to read that way because they are so poorly translated.
But it is reasonable for me to ask you to look into this statement with spiritual discernment. Or just common horse sense.
I ask you, why why why would God change the Laws He handed to Moses and the church that began in the wilderness?
I am trying to point out to you that right now we are so assimilated into a greek and roman culture and the uncleaness of this age that we have difficulty understanding hebrew idioms.
Take for example, birds, beasts, unclean creeping things. Did you know that is a hebrew idiom for goyim? Gentiles? Galata Galatia? Now, look at Peter and Cornelius. Peter has a vision and sees these animals come down on a sheet. God tells him to kill and eat. It is a dream remember, so he is wondering how to interpret it. Then he is told to go to Cornelius (a goy or perhaps Cornelius is a from the tribe of ephraim, the lost 10) and says do not call any many unclean that I have called clean. Do you see? Corneilus at any rate is no longer goy but he is a convert to the hebrew lifestyle, teaching and instruction, the torah. He doing the prayers at the same time they all did, and doing good deeds.
And through this whole thing remember Peter is saying, he has never eaten anything unclean. So he is not a written Torah lawbreaker!
I think this will take some patient study on your part.
Check it out, it's all right there in hidden in plain sight.

Scrippie, I suggest you spend more effort and energy preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world, and less on judaizing.
I once had a college roommate who had the potential to be a fine preacher. But he got hooked on the most bizarre form of dispensationalism. Dispensationalism became his god. And he has spent his life preaching dispensationalism and not Jesus Christ.
I don't know how you got misled into this judaizing business, but someone, somewhere hoodwinked you. judaism has become your passion, your focus, your god. If you don't turn around, you're going to waste your life on a stupid heresy.
I'm not trying to put you down. You're probably a nice guy. But I would like to see you freed from this delusion.

" God created certain animals that man CAN use for food and others that by His design are UNFIT to eat. "Clean" foods are those which in their natural state do not harm the human body and which man can use for his nourishment. "Unclean" foods are those which are unhealthy to consume and are poisonous to the body."
"Many of the animals labeled as "unclean" are primarily scavengers. They do not have the kind of multiple digestive system that the cud-chewers do, so the poisons that they consume go directly into their flesh. Only the unclean animals are regular hosts to such parasites as the trichina worm. Isn't it amazing that almost every cookbook notes that you should always be extra careful to fully cook pork to a well-done state, but they never mention that their unspoken reason is-so that you will be sure to kill the trichina worms in their little cysts! It is an accepted fact that much of the pork in America, even with all our "modern" health precautions, probably contains trichina. Health authorities also warn against eating shell fish at certain times of year because they are poisonous then. They don't bother to mention that the shellfish have the same scavenging habits all year long that causes this problem. Trichinosis and possible poisoning is bad enough, but the unclean animals are host also to much more serious problems for humans.
The AIDS virus and other serious diseases may have been spread by humans eating contaminated monkeys and/or other unclean animals. "

As I've said here previously, pigs are actually quite clean. They only poop in one corner of the pen, and become most irate if a young pig relieves itself elsewhere.
Unlike cattle and horses (and sheep and heaven help us, chickens) pigs don't crap in their own feed.
Also, and this is most important, they have adorable little curly tails.
I'm very fond of hogs.
And pork is by far my favourite meat.

Dig a hole about 4 feet deep and burn some coal at the bottom, once is going then lay about a 3 inch of dirt, over the dirt some bannana leaves.....then the pig some more bannana leaves and then some more dirt cover the rest with more burning coal and wait for about 7 to 8 hours, YUM YUM YUM
Pigs, like women, do like a mudd bath once in a while, would you call your wife dirty?
PS: Be sure the pig is dead before you place it in the hole, leaving the pig alive is taking that Jewish Kosha to far.

In the South, barbecue has a very specific meaning, which is meat (usually pork, often beef, sometimes chicken) slow-cooked (hours and hours) over some flavorful wood. It is frowned upon to use 'barbecue' as a synonym for 'to grill' as Yanks often do.

For the two Heretics, Scripturssez and Gabrielle, better study your New Testament, especially 1 Timothy. You two have serious Spiritual issues and shortcomings. Pray for God's Grace to be upon you. Do you really want to be judged by the Law instead of having the Grace of Jesus Christ cover you???

Do you not beleive Paul? Do you not believe Ezekial? Do you not believe Moses? Do you not beleive Yeshua? I told you God's words as they are written. Not what man has made up.

**What is lawlessness? Not following the written Torah of moses. Yeshua says so right here. **

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Peter told God NO !!!!! Did you notice that?
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
**I believe you owe me an apology, Petr. **

Please read Acts 15 Matt 15 and Matt 23 Judaizing is telling someone not to do the written law that was given to Moses by Yeshua, meaning the oral torah, extra commands as fences around the law. Example, do not touch a match on shabbos (sabbath) or Feast day such as Purim be cause that is work, you might light a fire even by accident, and then you are doing work etc. Silliness, but meant to protect one from breaking the commands.
The oral torah when it conflicts with the written law is Judaizing.
Judiaizing is a quite the bad term, inufficient for the use it is generally used.
Start over and read the Scriptures with a new eye towards what is the law the Yeshua is talking about.

.....Who are the Esau-Edomite Jews and where is the proof of their existence today? The Jewish Encyclopedia. 1925 edition, Vol. 5, p. 41, says: ââ¬ÅEDOM IS IN MODERN JEWRY.ââ¬Â In addition, under the heading of ââ¬ÅA brief History of the Terms for Jewââ¬Â in the 1980 Jewish Almanac is the following: ââ¬ÅSTRICTLY SPEAKING IT IS INCORRECT TO CALL AN ANCIENT ISRAELITE A ââ¬ËJEWââ¬â¢ OR TO CALL A CONTEMPORARY JEW AN ISRAELITE OR A HEBREW.ââ¬Â (1980 Jewish Almanac, p. 3)...
.....You'd do well to begin speaking more strictly, SS...

Nevertheless, Pork is an unclean animal.
That is a command to you.
You know, don't you think it is odd that even Paul tells us about the beginning commands he wants the new followers to do and one of those is not to eat blood. Why is it not being taught in churches not to eat blood?
Why then does Ezekial say that the real priests of God will teach the difference between clean and unclean?
Does Isaiah lie in Chapter 65?
Do you see what I mean? [QUOTE=Sertorius]And pork too!!

It has been around five years since I have been there. He has quite a selection of historical books for sale in addition to some very fine bbq in his flagship resturant. I don't pretend to, Gab. I'll make no apologies for administering this board in accordance to the historic, orthodox Christian creeds held central by traditional Catholic, Orthodox, Reformed and Lutheran confessions and will be danged if I let it become some kind of soundingboard for deviant heresies, false doctrine and borderline cultish lunacy. I'm a pretty tolerant guy, but if things start moving in a direction where in my opinion it is becoming a disruption to the overall tone of the board, then I will take basic action to correct that. The orthodox Christians on this board have a hard enough time effectively presenting our views and representing our faith to our non-Christian racial brethren here without having to excessively deal with the lunatic fringe that purports to be one of us.
